Bournemouth Championship Dog Show 2025 Bulldog Judge: Mr Sharon Evison ~ Kikuchi

What an extremely hot show at Bournemouth! The last time I was an exhibitor with this society it was at this venue, upon arriving last night we were greeted by deer with their young and it was truly magical they were stood at the side of the motorhome. Set in the New Forest with the glorious weather, put everyone in great spirits and made for a truly lovely day. Thank you to my steward, who kept the ring running seamlessly and kept all my exhibits in the shade — your help was invaluable today. The wasps had me a little worried at times and please do not think that I was rushing today I was just aware of the heat and concerned about all the exhibits.

I was truly grateful for an entry of 43 for one of the most southern Championship Shows on the calendar and even more so on a Monday. I am aware from both social media and exhibits today ringside advising my steward that some of you came yesterday on the wrong day, I am sorry that you missed today.

Overall, I had some beautiful exhibits where the exhibitors had gone above and beyond to prepare their dogs for the show ring, and when collecting my paperwork, I had a visit from the resident vet to say how happy he was with the bitch that had been awarded Best of Breed.

I really enjoyed my appointment, and I am grateful to everyone that entered and exhibited today, it was just sad to witness a couple of exhibits not wanting to collect there place cards.

1st Blenhiemstar Great Spirits (Miss S E Hanley) Red & White. A promising youngster with great attributes, broad skull with lovely clear dark eyes, well placed ears and a true wide jaw for his age. Tacked on shoulders with ample bone and brisket leading to a pear-shaped body and a good spring of rib. Moved and handled well.

1st Shipshape Mr Fezziwig At Kayldemb (Mrs Jacqui Lamb) Red & White. Broad flat skull with rose ears, clear dark eyes and wide nostrils. True wide jaw with a good layback. Ample bone and substance with a square front and tight feet, deep brisket and ample rib, free moving tail moved well.

2nd: Elarhill Donatello At Huntthorn (Mr Mrs N Hunter) Red & White, Broad flat and finely wrinkled skull, lovely true wide jaw and dark pigment, unfortunately today I could not assess his eyes or the placings would have been reversed. Great tacked on shoulders with ample bone, lovely spring of rib on a pear-shaped body, rear angulation moved and handled well.

1st Weebullz Parabellum JW (Mr & Mrs Kirkwood & Peebles) Red, Brick shaped head with dark clear eyes, true wide jaw with good nostrils, layback and a lovely sour expression. Square front with tacked on shoulders and deep brisket, well sprung rib and good rear angulation, walked his width, moved and handled well. RDCC

2nd Shottle King Edward At Tedsbull (Mr & Mrs Holmes) Dark brindle & white, very close second to one today, broad wide skull, clear dark eyes, well placed ears, large nostrils and wide jaw. Ample bone and substance with deep brisket, good tack on and spring of rib, moved and handled well.

1st Fat Puppy's Top Racer (Mrs A Ribas) White & Red, presented today in immaculate condition, this male is a neat and tidy dog, broad flat skull with clear dark eyes and well-placed ears, beautifully pigmented with wide nostrils and a true wide jaw and a fabulous layback. Well tacked on shoulders with good bone and substance, well ribbed with a pear-shaped body with a good topline which he held on the move. Eager to please his owner he moved walking his width. DCC

1st Ch Haddaway The Boss For Tyneamite (Mr & Mrs Lowthian) Brindle & White Finley wrinkled flat skull, clear dark eyes, well placed ears with a lovely layback, true wide jaw, square in front with deep brisket, well sprung rib, rear angulation and a free moving tail, moved and handled well.

1st Ms Eire Junior At Kayldemb (IKC) (Imp) (Mrs J Lamb) Brindle & White, Flat skull with well set ears, dark clear eyes, wide nostrils and a good width of jaw, lovely layback from side profile. Tight feet and ample bone and substance, well spring rib with nice rear angulation, moved and handled well.

2nd Melafella Miss Behave At Bahookie (Miss J McConaghy) White bitch, which was so exceptionally clean, finely wrinkled head with dark clear eyes, ears a little flighty at times, good nostrils, good width of jaw and layback, ample bone with tight feet, pear shaped body, rear angulation, moved and handled well.

1st Ocobo Dignity Mystyle NAF (Mr K Davis) White, very promising youngster, very feminine but in no way fine. Very clean head with well placed ears, clear dark eyes, lovely wide nostrils and good width of jaw. Ample bone with lovely tight feet, pear shaped body with a good spring of rib. Moved and handled well.

2nd Osulkha Do As Ya Likey (Mrs J Khan) Red & White, clean head with broad flat skull, cark clear eye, wide nostrils and good width of jaw, ample bone and substance with good tack on, well sprung rib free moving tail, moved well.

Wide nostrils, lovely width of jaw and layback, ample bone and substance with tight feet, well sprung rib, rear angulation and free moving tail. Moved and handled well.

2nd Kingrock Jemima Puddleduck With Leximus JW (Miss S Bland & Mrs McElligott) Red & White, broad flat skull with very little work in the head, clear dark eyes and well-set ears, good width and turn of jaw and nice layback. Well tacked on shoulders with ample bone and substance, well sprung rib pear shaped body. Lost out to one on the move as was very unsettled.

2nd Reckless Diva At Britishstyle (Mrs K Planson) Red & White broad flat skull, well placed ears, dark eyes with large nostrils, true wide jaw. Square front with ample bone, well ribbed with free moving tail, moved well just needs to slow her down.

1st Eur Fr It Ch Guendalina Di Casa Salento (Mr L Stabile) White & Red Brindle very feminine but in no way fine, flat skull with a good width, ears set wide apart, dark eye, well-padded cheeks, dark pigment, good layback, great width and turn of jaw, ample bone and substance, tight feet, enough depth to brisket and well sprung rib, tacked on shoulders, shown in fabulous condition moved around the ring with confidence and just seemed so happy in this environment. Delighted to award her the bitch CC and BOB.

2nd Belstock Juliana (Mr, Mr & Mrs Flatt) Red & White, broad flat skull , well placed ears, clear dark eyes, true wide jaw, nice layback, square front, ample bone and substance, tight feet, pear shaped body, well sprung rib and rear angulation. Moved well. RBCC
