I was disappointed when my original judging appointment for boxers at Driffield 2024 was cancelled due to the terrible weather conditions.I was contacted again to ask if I was available to judge the following year as they had been given permission to hold a double Championship Show.I was pleased to accept, and I was delighted when my entry for the 49th Championship show came through as it had gone from an entry of 58 in 2024 to 84 in 2025 at the 49th show.I would like to thank the exhibitors for the lovely entry and the sporting way in which they accepted my decisions. I would also like to thank my steward Wayne Patterson for the efficient way he organised the ring for me.

A lovely class of minor puppies where a few weeks can make a world of difference, the class winner who at 8 months had a huge advantage in terms of maturity

Very dark brindle 8mth male who has a lovely outline so well-schooled for his age, beautiful, head of correct proportions, dark eyes, with an alert expression, good mouth, liked his reach of neck, correct front with good bone, well developed rear quarters which helped him move with ease around the ring.

A very well presented 6mth red brindle male who was giving a lot away today in terms of maturity. Male head of correct proportions which is very much in the development stage, lovely reach of neck, good forechest, straight front, correct top line, well angulated rear quarters, maintains correct balance on the move.

2 year old dark brindle who is so well put together and is presented and handled to his best advantage, square in outline, masculine head of correct proportions, dark eyes with a cheeky expression, good reach of neck , straight front with good bone, tight feet, looked lovely in profile, well muscled quarters with good angulation, moved effortlessly around the ring covering the ground well .

Top quality 4 year brindle who really does tick all the boxes but finds himself in in very strong company today, he is a lovely make and shape with a typical male head of correct proportions, very dark eyes with great pigmentation, good mouth, arched neck of good length onto well muscled fore chest , straight front with good bone and very tight feet, slightly sloping topline leading to correct tail set, well muscled rear quarters, moved with a great driving rear action .

His development from then till now is breathtaking, very strong in all departments, he is a great ambassador for the breed. Very sharp in outline, classic masculine head of correct proportions, dark eyes, great mouth, very strong muscular neck onto correct shoulders, strong muscular fore chest of good width, the straightest of fronts and the tightest of feet, correct firm top line onto very strong well developed rear quarters, he moves as good as he looks displaying great power, reach and drive. It gave me the greatest of pleasure to award him the DCC and Best of Breed and went on to win Working group 2. I was pleased to be given the opportunity to judge this beautiful male

 Another top quality male who’s following in the footsteps of his illustrious father and is developing into a serious rival to him. Sharp in outline like his father, lovely boxer head type, dark expressive eyes, great mouth, strong neck with good reach,

 well-muscled fore chest onto a straight front with good bone, and very tight feet, slightly sloping top line with a good tail set, well defined quarters, moved with great purpose and a powerful rear action, pleased to award him the RDCC.

2nd MASTAGLIO, Mrs D Alexval Dance In Moonlight- 9year old quality red who was really enjoying her day out, coat in pristine shiny condition, pretty feminine head of correct proportions, dark expressive eyes, strong muscular neck onto correct shoulders, straight front, the tightest of feet, strong back , well muscled rear quarters, which helped her to move soundly.

 A very nice class where first and second could change places on another day, they were so alike I had to ask are they litter sisters which they weren’t.

6mth dark brindle baby, her gleaming coat helping to give off a very sharp clear outline , pretty feminine head of correct proportions, very dark well pigmented eyes, good mouth, lovely reach of neck leading to straight front with a great length of foreleg , good depth of brisket, slightly sloping top line, correctly angulated rear quarters, moved soundly for a baby puppy.

Another 6mth dark brindle baby who is brimming over with potential and has a lot to like, and on another day could easily change places with the class winner. Typical female head of correct dimensions, loverly dark eyes with a happy expression, good, mouth, good reach of neck, straight front, correct top line, well angulated rear quarters, which she used to her advantage on the move. Both these two young ladies have bright futures in front of them, and I will watch their show careers with great interest.

The preparation, conditioning and handling of this bitch are a credit to their owners.

I was pleased to be given the opportunity to judge this beautiful bitch.

Overall, another beautiful bitch extremely well presented and handled and it gave me great pleasure to award her the RBCC bitch
