Lancashire Heeler Breed Championship Show, Sunday, Thursday, 3rd July 2025

Judge: Susanne Nilsson, Sweden

On Thursday 3rd July 2025, I had the great pleasure and honour to judge Lancashire Heelers at the Lancashire Heeler Association Breed Championship Show held at The Rutland Showground in Oakham. The show was held in partnership with Boston & District Canine Society General Championship Show. The weather was showing off its best side at a stunning show ground! I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Lancashire Heeler Association for inviting me to judge, and an equally big thank you to everyone who had entered their dogs. A huge thank you to my efficient stewards who made sure everything worked fine in the ring. I had an absolutely fantastic day, and my lovely host guided me around the exhibition, making sure I had a good time in good company before my judging started. Thank you!

The entry was really nice, 52 dogs. The atmosphere round the ring was great and people were applauding and congratulating each other showing super sportsmanship, just like it should be when true breed enthusiasts have come together!

I was impressed by the temperaments of the dogs. Most of them were really happy in the show ring, only a few that were not too keen to be on the table but still had no problems with me going over them. I really enjoyed my day, thank you all!
