Terrier Puppy Group

1. Tate & Nagrecha’s Chandlimore Rainbow over Jaeva. 11 mth old Jack Russell Terrier bitch who I did very well for recently and today she still ticked all the boxes for me. Excelling for type, she is so good in outline with correct length of neck to give balance, firm through the topline, super ribbing, muscular loin and tail set on well and of good carriage. Just love her head and expression; flat skull of moderate width, almond-shaped eyes, excellent ears, strength to muzzle and scissor bite. She is soundly constructed all through, has the correct length of leg and stands true at all times. Certainly didn’t disappoint when gaiting and does all that is asked of her.

2. Williams’ Hopla Kia at Gwendonydd (Imp Dnk). 10 mth old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier bitch who greatly appealed. She presented a super outline with muscular, slightly arched neck, firm level topline, good depth to brisket, rib developing as it should, correct couplings and tail set on high. Most attractive head and expression; flat skull, excellent eye and eye, parallel planes and nice dark pigmentation. Well laid shoulders, good return of upper arm and standing straight in front. Moving freely on the down and back and opens up well on the go around with excellent carriage. Good quality coat.

3. Britten’s Bellevue Lucky Devil At Krisma. This 10 mth old West Highland White Terrier dog was another with so much to like and was so good hands on. Strongly built, he is so good in outline with muscular neck of correct length to balance, firm level back, well ribbed up, short well-muscled loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with excellent skull, defined stop, dark eyes of correct placement, ears set on well, scissor bite and first class pigmentation. He has good angles front and rear, elbows close to the chest and stands on excellent feet. Goes so well in profile with confident carriage.

4. Hanes’ Janmark Dame Dame Dame. 11 mth old blue Bedlington Terrier bitch completed my final four and this youngster is another who pleased and should go on to do well. Balanced outline with clean neck of good length, characteristic topline with arch over the loin, deep through the brisket, correct underline and tail set on low and of good carriage. Feminine headpiece with narrow skull, minimal stop, excellent eye and ear and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation both ends and she stands as she should in front on long hare feet. She particularly impressed on the go around and was very well handled here.

I also shortlisted the Cairn Terrier, Lucas’ Carradine Sir Percival, and the Norfolk Terrier, Gee’s Watercroft Time Flies.
