1. Urwin & James’ Jaegerson Kingsman. Confident 7 mth red who makes the most of himself at all times. Elegant and presenting a compact outline with super neck, firm topline, ribbing carried well back, short loin and tail of good set and carriage. Attractive headpiece with flat skull, pleasing proportions, dark oval-shaped eyes and scissor bite. Standing on excellent feet, displaying hackney gait on the go around, very good when going away and pretty good coming towards. Very well handled.

1. Mitchell’s Alcum Tee Rex. 15 mth red who appealed for type and presented a very good outline with clean, slightly arched neck, firm in topline which slopes slightly towards the rear, correct ribbing, short loin and tail good for set and carriage. Quality head and expression with good skull to muzzle proportions, excellent eye and ear and correct dentition. He is well developed in forechest and stands on very good feet and when gaiting he moves out with the desired hackney gait and is brimming over with attitude.
2. Coull’s Vardenais Hot As Hell. 16 mth old red who was close up to the winner here but 1 just had the edge in overall outline. Having said that, this boy is full of quality and was good hands on. Strong neck of good length to balance, firm topline, good depth to chest, pleasing rib and tail of good set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with flat skull, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears set on high, muzzle proportionate in length to that of skull and good dentition. He stands nice and straight in front on excellent feet and moved true on the down and back.
3. Park’s Rayjen Rum and Raisin

1. Soper’s Dobenar Leonidas. 2 yr old black/tan who I felt was a comfortable winner here. Slightly arched neck, pretty good in topline, pleasing rib and muscular loin. Balanced headpiece with ears set on high, nice dark eyes and scissor bite. Standing straight in front on decent feet and when gaiting he is true when coming and going and goes well enough on the go around. Uses himself to advantage and was well handled.
2. McLoughlin’s Krieger’s Kilted Dragon. Showy 2 yr old black/tan who is out of a smaller mould than the winner. Slightly arched neck, short back with slope to topline but would benefit from a firmer croup. Eyes are nice and dark but a little prominent, ears set on high, strength to muzzle and correct dentition. Well angulated hindquarters and gaiting pretty well on the go around but couldn’t match the winner on the down and back. Nice rich tan.

1. James & Cherry’s Jaegerson Hendrix. 3 yr old red who uses himself at all times. Super neck of correct length to balance, pretty good topline, deep chest but rather rounded in ribcage. Well proportioned head with masculine expression; ears set on nice and high, eyes of good colour, strength to muzzle and scissor bite. He is well developed in forechest, stands on compact feet and is well made in the rear with a good bend of stifle. Moves freely on the down and back and also pleased on the go around.

1. Watkins & Bugden’s Ch Hawksflight Hot Pursuit JW. Three pleasing boys challenged in this class with the nod going to this 3 yr old red. Quality all through and showing himself off fully at all times. Sturdy, yet elegant, and so well balanced with a super neck, short back with correct slope to topline, ribs well sprung and extending well back, muscular loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Super head which is well proportioned with a very nice expression, ears set on high, nice dark eyes, strength to muzzle and correct dentition. Good angles front and rear, elbows close to the body, well developed forechest and stands on excellent feet. Gaiting freely on the down and back and catches the eye on the go around with his confident carriage and was so very well handled here. Presented in first class condition. CC & BOB and pleased to see he later went Group 4.
2. Hewitt’s Ch Adurus Sundance Kid for Catamyrann JW. This 2 yr old red is another full of quality but quite different to the winner. He presents a lovely compact outline with slightly arched neck, short back with desired slope to topline, well sprung ribs and short muscular loin. Attractive head and expression with good skull to muzzle proportions, ears set on high, oval-shaped eyes and scissor bite. Pleasing front assembly with well developed forechest and muscular hindquarters with noticeably more angulation than 1. Showing himself off at all times and moving out with characteristic hackney gait. Well handled to take the RCC.

Pleasing head and expression; flat skull, excellent ears, eyes of good colour, muzzle of correct length to balance and scissor bite. 1. James’ Jaegerson Centrefold. Two 7 mth old reds challenged in this class who turned out to be littermates. This girl was my winner and she really did appeal and I thought her of excellent type and she was so good hands on. Elegant as required, she presented a super outline with slightly arched neck, short back with correct topline, ribbing carried well back and developing just as it should, muscular loin and pleasing tail. Attractive headpiece with feminine expression; flat skull, excellent eye and ear, muzzle of correct length to balance and scissor bite. She stands true in front on excellent feet, has good angles front and rear and moves out with distinct hackney action and uses herself at all times. RCC & Best Puppy.
2. Porter’s Jaegerson Scarlet Secret. This girl also pleased for overall type and presented a compact outline but she is a touch more refined than 1. Neck of correct length to give balance, short back with slight slope towards the rear, ribbing developing well and of good length, nice short loin and tail set on well. Full of femininity, she has an attractive, well proportioned head, with expressive eyes, ears set on high and correct dentition. Pleasing angulation both ends and she stands on good feet but toes out a tad. Gaiting with hackney action, impressing on the go around in particular and nice and firm in the rear.

1. Mitchell’s Alcum Suzie Que. Two nice but quite different red girls competed together in this class. This 15 mth old came out on top. A showy youngster with a very nice outline; excellent neck which is slightly arched, short back with desired slope towards the rear but topline could firm a tad, short in the couplings and tail of pleasing set. Head of good proportions; narrow as required, dark expressive eyes, ears set on well, strength to muzzle and correct bite. Good angles front and rear and she stands well naturally in front on excellent feet. Moves out with hackney gait and pleased when coming and going.
2. Coull’s Vardenais The Heat Is On. 16 mth old with so much to like. She is out of a smaller mould than the winner and overall a tad more refined, however she pleased in outline with strong, slightly arched neck, short in the back with slope towards the rear, ribbing extends well back and tail good for set and carriage. Feminine head and expression with flat rather narrow skull, oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears set on high and scissor bite. She stands nice and straight in front on nice compact feet but not quite the rear angulation of 1. Moves well all through.

1. Stracey’s Ch Krieger’s Kiss'n'tell JW. 2 yr old black/tan who I have done well for before at group level and she still appealed today. Feminine all through, she presents a compact outline, is sturdy as required and shows herself off to full advantage. The best of necks, firm topline which slopes towards the rear, excellent ribbing, short in the couplings and tail of correct set. Most attractive head with feminine expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, clean through the cheeks, lovely dark eyes, ears set on well and scissor bite. As sound as they come, well developed in forechest and stands on super feet. Gaiting freely all through and with excellent carriage and so very well handled. CC.
