1. Horwood’s Pentatty Baga Chipz. 14 mth old rough who greatly impressed, excelling for type and presenting a super outline. Strong neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline, correct ribbing, short muscular loin and tail set on high. Balanced head with keen expression; flat skull, almond-shaped eyes, good ears, strength to muzzle and scissor bite. Soundly constructed both front and rear and stands so well naturally. When gaiting, he was nice and free on the down and back and also pleased when viewed in profile, using himself at all times. Good quality jacket and presentation. Reserve Best Dog and hot on the heels of the Best Dog.

2. Mignano-Fricker & Fricker’s Moorbell Moon and Stars over Calavey (Imp Ita). This 12 mth old rough was another who pleased. He’s out of a smaller mould than the winner but well balanced with correct length of neck, level topline, pleasing rib, short in the couplings and tail set on well. Cracking head and expression with good proportions, excellent dark eyes, good ears, strong muzzle and good dentiton. On the move, he was accurate on the down and back and extends well in front but winner had the edge overall on the go around. Well handled.

3. Broom’s Roxway Ariel

PGD (3,1)

1. Thornley & Smith’s Dancing in The Dark at Robythorn. 2 yr old rough who presented a nicely balanced outline. Strong neck, excellent topline, correct ribbing which extends well back, short well-muscled loin and tail set on high. Head of good proportions with flat skull, expressive almond-shaped eyes, strength to muzzle and correct dentition. He stands true in front and has good feet and when gaiting he pleased on the down and back but could have opened up a tad more on the go around. Good quality jacket.

2. Collins & Powley’s Capshulacan Colebrooke. 6 yr old broken coat. This lad also pleased in outline and has a super neck, is firm in topline, well sprung in rib which can be spanned, short in the couplings and tail set on well. Flat skull of moderate width, eyes of correct shape, good ears and scissor bite but is a tad longer in muzzle. Has a tendency to knuckle over on the table but when gaiting he moved freely and used himself as he went.

1. Horwood, Nagrecha & Tate’s Jaeva Front Row Seat TAF. Two quality pups competed in this class but they are really very different to one another. My winner was this 7 mth old rough and what a showgirl she is. I thought her an excellent type, she is feminine throughout and she was a delight to go over. Excellent neck, firm level topline, ribbed well back, short muscular loin and tail just right for set and carriage. First class head and expression; flat skull, keen expressive eyes, excellent ears, strength to muzzle and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear and she stands so well naturally. On the go around, she was quite something and used herself to the max as she went. Super jacket and presentation and so well handled. Reserve Best Bitch and Best Puppy.

2. Witmond’s Tiltser Mint Velvet. Another 7 mth old rough and one I have done very well for quite recently. She is out of a smaller mould than the winner but she also appeals and was good hands on. Correct length of neck to give balance, firm level back, excellent ribbing for age, nice short loin and tail set on well. Well proportioned head with feminine expression; flat skull, dark almond-shaped eyes, good ears and scissor bite. On the move she was accurate when coming and going and she also pleased when viewed in profile. Super temperament.
