Norfolk Terriers

Thanks to the Boston and District Show Society for the wonderful opportunity to award CCs for the first time in a breed I have had the privilege to own, exhibit, and breed. I greatly appreciated the excellent entry and impressive quality of dogs on the day.

Minor Puppy Dog

1st Belleville Bringing Hope (AI) (Mrs C S Thompson-Morgan). 8 months and clearly a promising puppy. Well balanced head contains appealing dark eyes giving typical expression. Correct bite. Well set neck of good length. Ample chest. Nicely angulated quarters, short loin. When settled, moved well.

2nd Jaeva Carrot Cake TAF (Miss O & Mrs K Dragon & Tate). 8 ½ months. Well grown. In super jacket. OK for head and expression. Clean neck into well laid shoulders. Well ribbed. Strong rear. Steady, honest mover.

Puppy Dog

1st Layhefields Great Ridge by Belleville (Mrs C S Thompson-Morgan). 10 months. Beautifully constructed. Such a well-balanced head giving a keen expression from those dark intelligent eyes. Neat correct ears. Admired his front and rear angulations which produced easy, accurate movement. One for the future.

Junior Dog

1st Umbrage July in Paris (Mr A & Mr J Hess & Higgins). 13 months. Attractive head with good pigmentation supporting an alert expression. Moderate neck. Secure topline but would prefer him a tad shorter coupled. On the move he makes full use of his well angulated hindquarters.

1st Watercroft Goldfinch (Mrs R Gee). 12 months. Another super youngster. Impressive head proportions. Dark, keen eyes. Strong dentition. Impressive overall balance. Demonstrated an easy, true forehand from well laid shoulders and short powerful legs. Short coupled and strong. Alert, fearless and confident he moved true with real purpose, he just never stopped showing. Shown in excellent jacket. I thought him most impressive and thoroughly deserved the RDCC

2nd Tinkave in The Groove with Belleville (Miss C A Pont). 19 months. Appealing, well balanced head giving typical expression. Good for ear placement. Strong, correct dentition. Clean front; good feet. Held a secure topline on the move but would have preferred him shorter coupled. Well set tail. Good coat.

Post Graduate Dog

1st Belleville in A Word (Mrs J & Mr N Thompson & Pope). Head is balanced, proportioned and well finished. Attractive eyes aid typical expression. OK ears. Moderate neck into well laid shoulders. Well bodied. Secure topline and strong hindquarters. Of balanced bone throughout. Neat, padded feet. Moved with purpose.

2nd Jaeva Party Boy (Mr K & Ms J & Miss L Daws & Toms & Toms). 20 months. Upstanding and taller than 1. Keen expression with dark eye and good ear placement. From his well-constructed forehand and correctly angulated hindquarters he moved well. Preferred the head and overall balance of 1.

1st Watercroft Cosmic Dust (Miss M L Davis). 2 years. Scores in breed type. His impressive head contains, oval shaped dark eyes, a well-defined stop and large teeth with correct bite Well laid medium neck; clean shoulder placement. Compact and balanced. Produces an impressive outline when standing and moves true.

2nd Jaeva Strut Your Stuff (Miss S Wren). 2 years. Close up on 1. Accurate enough on the move but was clearly feeling the heat so was not moving with the sprightliness of 1. In great coat. He is of pleasing size and is well balanced.

3rd Littlemount Celyn Y Mor (Mrs P A Ward).

1st Ch Watercroft Easy Tiger JW (Mrs R Gee). 15 months and mature for his age. Well-proportioned masculine head and expression. Dark appealing eyes, muzzle of correct shape and length, good for ear placement and dentition. Ideal length of neck and nicely angulated quarters. Balanced bone, ample spring of rib and short loins. Moved around the ring in style demonstrating an easy forehand coupled with effortless drive which gave him the edge over 2. In the challenge he performed flawlessly. CC & BOB

2nd Belleville Wordsmith (Mrs C S Thompson-Morgan). Another top quality dog, different in type to 1 and a tad larger. Excellent red coat. Well-proportioned head containing captivating, expressive eyes. Correctly set neck. Well sprung ribs. Presented in fit condition with a hard wiry coat. True coming and going.

2nd Littlemount Celyn Y Mor (Mrs P A Ward). 2 years. In excellent coat. Proportioned head contains attractive, correctly shaped dark eyes, giving typical expression. Correct ear placement and good bite. Moving Ok holding a level top line and good tail set. Maturity will be on his side.

An exciting class to judge, containing 5 promising youngsters.

1st Watercroft Stitch in Time (Mrs R Gee). If there was one to take home! A real charmer 7 months. Beautifully balanced. Stunning feminine head giving a delightful expression. Neat ears. Well set neck, compact body, short back and well ribbed. Clean front, well angulated hindquarters; short hocks. In a good jacket, she moved superbly. BPIB (Delighted she was shortlisted in the Puppy Group and 3rd in the Eukanuba Puppy stakes).

2nd Brupurhat Onto Something (Mr B J Brackner). Confident baby, 6 months old. Feminine and of a lovely size. Well-proportioned throughout she produces a balanced outline on the stand. Head still to mature. Clean neck into well laid shoulders; good for ribbing. Secure topline. Short loins. Correct front and rear angulations produced effortless movement.

3rd Nordalset Brite N’shiny (Mrs ML & Mr MJ Philip).

1st Belleville Firestar (Mrs C S Thompson-Morgan). 14 months. Head is beautifully proportioned with dark, keen eyes and correct finish to foreface. Neat medium sized ears, close to cheek, which finished the picture. Strong clean front; neat padded feet. Well laid shoulders and secure topline. Short coupled and balanced. Tail well set on. Moved so well.

2nd Villassa Quota of Kisses at Earthtaw (Miss J & Miss K Haydon & Hurrion). Another really impressive 14 month old, and many of the above comments equally apply. Another sound, positive mover but when finally determining the class winner, in the final go around 1 pulled out all the stops. Notwithstanding, it was a very close call.

1st Jaeva On The Run (Mrs K & Miss S Tate & Wren). 18 months. Super for head, and well-placed ears. Beautiful dark eyes giving such an alert, keen expression. Correct, strong bite. Excellent jacket. Overall she has the correct amount of bone and a lovely spring of rib. Medium neck leading to well laid shoulders. Secure topline and tail set. Well angulated quarters. She moved true and low, with forehand reach and economical rear drive. One of the most impressive movers of the day, she thoroughly deserved her award today, in great company. RCC

2nd Villassa Quest for A Kiss (Miss K Hurrion). 13 months so giving some away to 1 in maturity. Appealing head with a good eyes and neat ears. Pleasing front assembly; secure topline. Body not quite the short coupling of 1. Good for rear angulations; well let down hocks. She moved impressively.

1st Bricken One For You (Mrs J R Stevenson), 18 months. Compact outline with characteristic cobby proportions. Strong front and quarters with secure topline. Head with correct finish. Eyes alert and dark. Correct amount of bone and spring of rib. Good reach of neck leading to well laid shoulders. Most impressive on the move.

2nd Jaeva Runner Duck (Mrs M J Jones). 2 years. Nice size and proportions, but just felt she was carrying a tad too much wait. Pleasing feminine head which was typical and with neat, well placed ears. She is typey. Presented in a good jacket and moved steadily.

3rd Macdiarmada Alderfen (Mr L A Mcdermott).

1st Wielenshoeve Time Will Tell at Jaeva (Imp Deu) TAF (Miss O & Mrs K Dragon & Tate). Impressive hard and wiry B/T coat with furnishings. Appealing head with dark eye, neat ears and good dentition. Well set neck. Good for shoulders and front assembly. Loved her overall proportions being compact and strong, with a short back. Excellent tail set and hold. In the hotly contested challenge she was a serious contender, but felt she did not move as well as in this class.

2nd Brupurhat Spirits Gift (Mr B J Brackner). Different in type to 1 Full of quality and lots to admire. Pleasing head with correct finish; good ears. Body not as short coupled as 1. Impressive on the move when she was both accurate and sound.

1st Belleville Hold The Line (Mrs C S Thompson-Morgan). Stunning B/T. 18 months. She immediately caught my eye. Her head is a lovely feature with skull being slightly rounded, fabulous expressive eyes with a neat well-proportioned wedge-shaped finish and correct length of muzzle. Well set neck, with a super chest and layback of upper arm. Compact body, firm topline and well set tail. Excellent coat. She was sound and co-ordinated on the move and could not be denied the BCC.

2nd Villassa All The Way (Miss K Hurrion). 2 years. Another with many of the same attributes as 1. Pleasing head. Solid, well-muscled with a short back She carries a good topline with excellent tail. Steady on the move.

1st Ivrig Dancing in The Sun (Miss F J Macartney). 7 years old. Red jacket presented in really good condition. Pretty head; OK ears. Well balanced throughout. Good for rear angulations. Moved impressively maintaining a secure topline. Well deserved - BV
