Dachshund (Min Smooth-Haired)

This was my second year judging at this wonderful show. Thank you to the committee for

inviting me. My stewards did a super job of keeping things flowing. Also a special thank you

to the catering team who were tireless all day. Not having a miniature for a few years now I

was really interested to see them close up. On the whole I was not disappointed however,

the scales may have gone but the weights have NOT, whilst I was pleased with the overall

size there were a few that would challenge scales and my results reflected that. Rear

movement was disappointing on more than I would like, I also feel that ground clearance

needs address, a few were very low to ground.

1ST 2115 - Pennydach Mystique at Rosencrantz (Mrs B J Rose) 7 years Black & Tan B. Not showing her

age, pretty feminine head with a correct eye, neat front, holds her top line well, and moves with drive. BV

1ST 2071 - Amaffrey Sirius Black (Mrs A J Bullis) 8 month Black & Tan, a lot to like correct head and good

length of neck into a nice shoulder with good tight elbows

2ND 2119 - Metadale Vasilios (Mr J M Rudkin) Just 6 month Red a very promising youngster who has so

much going for him, just a little over exuberant today but will do wel I’m surel

1ST 2061 - Beachdax Ace of Spades (Miss L M B & Messrs L J B & A B Beach) 11 month Black & Tan.

another promising puppy, has a wonderful head with correct eye and ear set. Enough neck into a good front and

tight elbows good length of ribbing moved well

2ND 2073 - Russetcopse Figaro (Mr B & Mrs B Carter) smaller and more compact type. Head and neck are

ok no exaggeration but did not seem happy to move out fully.

1ST 2102 - Lokmadi Charles Rex (Mrs Y Kent) 16 month red dog A real hound head, good length of neck

into a correct front with tight elbows, nice level top line both sacked and on the move. Good angulation and reall

strides out. Happy to give him DCC.

2ND 2093 - Lokmadi Charles Dance (Miss G Hawdon) Many of the qualities of 1, a bit smaller and slightly

more compact would benefit from moving out a bit faster.

and front, holds a level top line and moves with a purposeful stride. RDCC

1ST 2130 - Rozamie Tiger Feet (Mr J & Mrs J Williams) a very nice brindle, quite compact but in proportion,

my notes say Sue Ergis would approve of his front. He has good strong rear quarters and moved well.

2ND 2108 - Kleinstar Blue Moon (Miss H Reynolds) Black & Tan a very nice head and good front would like

more bone and a stronger rear, however he moves well.

1ST 2077 - Scenterbay Rafael for Ruichango (Miss M Corominas) Red, a sound dog throughout, nice head,

almond eye and well set ears, good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, nice tight elbows good length of rib,

nice angulation,

2ND 2068 - Amaffrey Henry (Mrs A J Bullis) Black & Tan A sound dog, liked his head and front, holds his top

line and had good rear angulation moves well.

1ST 2120 - Stargang Dante’s Inferno for Dynastydax (Mr J M Rudkin) Red A quality dog a real hound type.

Excellent front and top line held at all times, well angulated rear and moves with real purpose.

2ND 2079 - Ch D'arisca Dinner at Eight (Mrs L Coxon) Black & Tan a good quality dog, moved well and has

really nice rear angulation I just felt today he looked stuffy in front, I have seen him since and he looked so much

better,

2ND 2065 - Bronia Solange at Louromi (Mrs L Bosworth) Red Bitch, again a nice bitch, she has a very nice

front, good length of ribbing and moves well.

1ST 2070 - Amaffrey Luna Lovgood (Mrs A J Bullis) 8 month Red, another promising puppy, Very pleasing in

profile, has a lovely head good reach of neck nice front, top line good, rear angulation fine and

moves well. Will watch with interest

2ND 2065 - Bronia Solange at Louromi (Mrs L Bosworth)

1ST 2081 - Siouxline Elsa Marie (Mrs S M Ergis) 8 month Black & Tan a quality puppy who is very even

throughout very pretty head, really good front assembly, angulation correct and moves well, RBCC

2ND 2097 - Winterfield Whiskey Maude (Mrs R & Miss S J Herald) 10 month Red, again a nice puppy pretty

head with a lovely expression, correct front, top line and rear just unsettled today,

1ST 2128 - Wakywilks Celestial JW (Miss C & Mr A Wilkinson & Wakeham) Black & Tan a pleasant head

with nice shaped eyes, reasonable length of neck flowing into a well held top line. Moved well

2ND 2106 - Stargang Silk Stockings (Mrs J & Miss F Parr) Black & Tan a smaller bitch but nice, good length

of neck adequate angulation, good length of rib.

length of neck nice shoulders and front nice angulation moved well

2ND 2103 - Lokmadi Don't Bring Lulu (Mrs Y Kent) very close between these 2, she has the qualities of 1 and

moves round really well, just on the day seemed a little plump.

good length of neck correct front tight elbows, correct angulation moved well

2ND 2110 - Merryline Alexandra at Kleinstar (Mrs E M Reynolds) Red, very similar size and type to 1, just

lost out as I preferred the movement of 1.

1ST 2084 - Brogansian Gingerella (Mr S Fleming) As a judge I wait for the 1 that I just cannot take my eyes

off, here she was today. She came into the ring and she owned it oh boy did I know it. A lovely size Bitch, she is

feminine but she would happily do a days work. She has a lovely front, correct lay of shoulder a well held top line

both stacked and on the move, no exaggeration in her angulation and moved with drive. So pleased to award

BCC & BOB

2ND 2082 - Siouxline Mary Rose JW (Mrs S M Ergis) Red, another wonderful Bitch she has the qualities of 1

and I am sure will yoyo placings, just today I preferred the movement of 1.

1ST 2099 - Mylforbe Red Velvet at Sunara (Mr J E Hunt) Red, She is so the type I look for, she is a also

femine but has workability. Nice head with correct eye shape, enough neck into a well placed shoulder, a good

well held top line moved with drive.

2ND 2063 - Beachdax Queen of Hearts JW (Miss L M B & Messrs L J B & A B Beach) Black & Tan She has

the most beautiful head, good length of neck and a nice front, correct angulation and moved well
