Annandale Junior Handling Under 6yrs.

(1,0)

1. A1 Adam Cropper. Adam handled his border terrier confidently and sympathetically. He used the ring well and moved her at a steady pace. Very mindful of his dog and the judge. Well done Adam.

Annandale Junior Handling 6-11yrs. (6,3)

Robert Stuart. Confident handler who presented this whippet well. Moved at the correct pace, self correcting as he went. Good lines and excellent use of the ring. My view of the dog was never restricted. A very good handler.

Layla Duncan. Very positive handler who positively rewarded the dog a lot during her time in the ring with praise and also treats. This never got in the way of her presentation of the dog and I appreciated her sympathetic approach. Good use of the ring and good lines moving. Lost out on the top spot as she lost where I was a few times which restricted my view of the dog - an easy thing for her to work on. Another good handler.

Annandale Junior Handling 12-16yrs

Chantelle Stuart. A braver girl than me handling this beautiful German shepherd. Good use of the ring, good lines. Once she got the dog stood she showed off the many virtues of this dog who was by no means easy to handle. I admired her for taking her on. My advice - calm down. This breed needs you to be confident and composed. Once you got on top of her and yourself she looked amazing. Best overall Junior

Adult Handling Association 17-24yrs (1,1)

Natalie Storey. Handled this Welsh Springer very competently. Presented well in the line up. My view was never restricted. On the move used the ring well and kept an eye on where I was in order to show the dog to best advantage. Best handler overall.

Sandy Nokes. Good handler who showed this Wire Haired Vizsla to advantage. Good lines and used the ring well. Good shadowing and observed the golden rule. Only note is that I asked for a free stand and got a stack but this only served to give me something to split these two handlers with. A very competent handler.

Scottish Junior Handler Qualifier. 6-11yrs

Farrah McDonald. Very patient young handler. Her sheltie was very distracted and she remained calm and kind throughout and got the best out of her. Moved at the correct pace, making good use of the ring. Never restricted my view of the dog.

Scottish Junior Handler Qualifier 12-16yrs

Danielle Wilson. My notes say - a very polished performance. Handling a whippet which was presented to perfection. Danielle was quiet and composed and let her dog take the stage. Lines were excellent, great use of the ring. She kept her eye on where I was throughout and never faulted. Very well done.

Delphine Shorey. This young lady had a bit of a tough time today as she hurt herself halfway through the class. She is a very good little handler and its important to remember that there is a massive difference between the youngest handlers in this category and the oldest. Such a promising handler for the future and I am sure I will be seeing more of you.

Border Collie

P. (1,0) Dunlin. Jachelm Dream Come True, 10 month old b/w bitch. Nice outline. Correct breed typical head and very pretty. Enough neck, good shoulders, a touch steep in front but she has time. Good bone and excellent feet. Sound on the move but would prefer more reach. BP

G (1,0) Hadden aan Hadden. Kanamaren I have the touch. 12 month old male, very much in a junior stage a little up on leg and open in angles. Needs to drop in to himself which may come with time. Good bone. Movement balance but not enough reach and drive.

PG (0,0)

O (1,0) Broadhurst. SH Ch Rosehurst Royal Sunset. 3yr old b/w all male. Beautiful type and presented a lovely picture. In harsh condition with excellent bone that was well covered. Breed typical head, balanced skull with well placed eyes and strong jaw. Good drive from strong hocks and good profile movement covering the ground well. BOB. Pleased to see him awarded G1 and eventually BIS

Rough Collie

P. (1,0) 1. Clark Kerr. Salsina Love Me Do. 11 month old sable and white bitch. Such a happy baby, which is so lovely to see. Good outline. Head is balanced but a little fine. Lovely dark eye and ears used well to give a nice expression. Moved ok.

G. (1,0) 1. Quince. Oakley Ice Queen For Karafaye (IMP CHE) Exceptionally pretty blue merle bitch. Lovely head and good eye which gave a beautiful expression. Good well fitted coat of good colour and texture. Lovely front with enough width. Really appreciated the breed type on this bitch which gave her BOB today. However her rear is not good and she really needs to strengthen through the hock.

PG (0,0)

O (3,0) 1. Clark Kerr. Offspring Uniquely Mayd for Whitecraigs. 6yr old Tri bitch. Good eye and expression - head a little flared. A bit open in angles but she was balanced enough on the move. Good ribbing and enough loin.

2. Macdonald. Brilyn Look at me for Faraliya. 2yr old gold sable bitch. Would prefer a better eye on this bitch and more fill of skull and more chin. Needs more development in front. Rear is better. Moves ok.

Finnish Lapphund

PG (1,0) Meikle. Lintukoto Ilmiomainen (a.I) 2,5yr old bitch. Nice outline and type. Good coat texture. Lovely eye, correct head. A little steep in shoulder, good rear. On the move she had nice drive but a little high stepping in the front.

O (1,0) Meikle. Elbereth Etianen at Lintukoto. 2yr old all male. Lovely head, nice muzzle. Moved well although a little close coming towards me. Good drive from behind. Excellent coat and good breed type. BOB

Shetland Sheepdog - A very varied entry.

G (4,0) 1. Thomson. Sommerville Starlight at Lochdee. 2yr old blue merle bitch. Balanced outline. Good Substance and bone. Moved well, good foot placement. A very nice, moderate sheltie.

2. Ewing and Macfarlane Sommerville Sandmoon. 10 month old petite bitch. Petite bitch. Very pretty, lovely eye. Good shoulders, well laid back. Enough width. Well ribbed, strong loin. Good rear, sound on the move. BP

PG (7,1) 1. Macdonald. Defallo Look Who’s Talking at Ladyoluss, 2yr old bitch. Larger stamp on this girl. Nice type. Very balanced with lovely lines. Good, one piece head, with slight stop - which was hard to find today. She moved very well. Shame that she has light ears which spoilt her expression.

2. Thomson. Lochte Miss Marlie. 5yr old Tri bitch. Very pretty with a good eye. Balanced with good angles, moved well. Preferred the head on 1.

O (5,2) 1. White. Shellamoyed Black Lace. 5yr old Tri bitch. Good outline. Balanced silhouette. Head was pleasing if a little flared. Good eye and expression. One today on her good movement, good reach in front and drive behind, covering the ground with ease. BOB

2. Hepburn. Leterikhills River Lass. Sable and white. 4yr sable and white bitch. Really nice type and a lovely shape however she is a little steep in shoulder and she picked her feet up a little on the move.
