PUPPY (2) Very little to choose between these two.

1 Knight & Lavender’s Cooke’s - HAYDENGOLD BACKCHAT – 10 months dog, masculine head with lovely dark eyes and pigment. Plenty of bone, straight front, tight feet, deep chest and good topline. Correct hindquarters. Moved ok in the small ring. BPIB

2 Lavender’s PAJULA DREAM TO WHISPER – 7 months bitch, not in as good coat as 1 and not as positive on the move. Very pretty head. Correct front and forechest, good bone and tight feet. Good topline and well angulated hindquarters,

1 Fleet’s WATERBABIES KALAKUTA TO EASTBURY (IMP ITA) – blonde with a sweet expression and feminine head. Good front and forechest, correct bone, well-angulated at both ends. Deep body, firm topline. In good coat and condition. Moved well.

2 Taggart’s ALTINDAN USER FRIENDLY JW SGWC – Most attractive head and good overall balance. Correct front assembly with super feet. Level topline, deep chest, well-bent stifles. Coat not at its best , and he struggled to get into his stride in the small ring

OPEN (6:3abs) A nice class.

1 Barber’s MESSANO JUST GOOD FRIENDS – very balanced male in full coat who showed himself off well. Masculine head with soft expression. Very good angulation fore and aft. Straight front, good bone and feet. Deep body and firm topline. Tail carried correctly. Moved well. BOB

2 King’s ASHBYGLEN I PUT A SPELL ON YOU JW – light gold bitch with a sweet expression. Preferred head and neck of 1. Super front and feet, good depth of chest. Correct rear angulation. Moved and showed well. RBOB

COCKER SPANIELS I was surprised to find that a number of exhibits were carrying too much weight.

1 Clifford’s WYNCASTLE’S SAINT LAURENT AVEC CHAMFORD (IMP HUN) - 11 months b/r, very finished for age and beautifully presented in full gleaming coat. Typical head and kind expression. Super bone and feet and good front assembly. Short deep body, good topline and tailset. Strong hindquarters from which he moved with drive. BPIB & RBOB

2 Gregory’s BABTONKELPIE TROLLEY DOLLY – 10 months with a most attractive head, Good neck and shoulders, correct front and bone and super feet. Good depth of chest, strong hindquarters. Moved well.

3 Collings’ AYLESMEAD BLU ROSE AT COLMANDAKEV

JUNIOR (2)

1 Beckwith’s BALAAMBECK ORICORIO OPAL – 16 months well-grown black male. Very appealing head and lovely expression. Well boned, straight front, tight feet. Correct angulation at both ends. Short deep body. Shown in gleaming coat and good condition. Moved well when settled.

2 Kidd’s FREESTONE MY SERENDIPITY – petite b/r bitch, sweetest head. Good front and feet, correct topline, deep chest. Moved well in spite of some extra weight.

POSTGRADUATE (6)

1 Collings’ CHATIVORE SEA PEBBLE AT COLMANDAKEV – typical head with alert intelligent expression. Well-boned with straight front and good angulation at both ends. Well ribbed up with short loin. In good coat. Moved well despite carrying excess baggage.

2 Beckwith’s SHEIGRA SPECIAL SECRET WITH BALAAMBECK- compact with a feminine head and kind expression. Good neck, shoulders, bone and feet. Good depth of chest and short loin. Went very well.

3 Harvey’s VALEFELL CHESTNUTS FALLING

1 Wright’s LA SCALES BERLIN WITH CHAZBAZ (IMP HUN) – black dog, very finished and balanced, and well presented in gleaming coat. Masculine head. Good forequarters, tight feet, firm topline. Well ribbed up. Strong hindquarters. Showed with a constantly wagging tail and moved with drive. BOB.

2 Kidd’s FREESTONE CHANCES ARE – neat b/r bitch without exaggerations. Pretty head, good neck and shoulders. Tight feet. Carrying the right amount of weight and moved soundly.
