Special Award Classes

I would like to express my thanks to the committee for this opportunity to Judge the Special awards Classes and special thanks to the exhibitors who stayed after a long hot day to exhibit in these classes, I was most grateful.

Gordon Setter Junior Dog or Bitch (4,1abs)

1st    Poynter, Poynter & Collins-Pitman’s Amscot angels & Demons

Just out of Puppy, so much to like about this youngster, developing a beautiful deep head with dark eye, well-muscled quarters used with such ease when covering the ground, especially after such a long day. Strength to his loin, balanced fore & aft. Good Correct bone Presented in great coat and condition.

2nd Pitman’s Amscot she’s no Angel

A feminine version of One pleasing head, arched in neck, leading into long sloping shoulders, correct bone. Level topline, deep brisket with well sprung ribs, steady free movement driving from her rear, just needs a bit more time to reach her full potential.

3rd O’Kelly & Hancock’s Caradilis Eala Dubh

Gordon Setter post Graduate Dog or Bitch (6,3abs)

1st Miller’s Cafotaliena heart of a Hero JW

Have judged this male before and he had developed into a well-built symmetrical example of the breed. Broad developing head, with good earset. long lean neck into well placed sloping shoulders Level topline, strong loin. Moved with drive from his well-muscled rear.

2nd Speed’s Ronaldsbill Magic stars of Niannseter

Pleasing overall shape, for me I would like to see a bit more strength in her head, held her topline on the move, well-turned stifle. Just preferred the balance and outline of one.

3rd Whiting’s Locksheath Fallen acorn

Gordon Setter Open Dog or Bitch (4,1abs)

1st Pitman’s CH/INT/Ger/VDH CH Amscot Love is in the Air JW, WW18/21

Presents a super profile, this girl oozes quality and is so fit for function. Such a feminine head with a dark eye, good length to her lean neck, well placed shoulders, balanced fore & aft, good length hip to hock, loved her oval close-knit feet so steady and free on the moved. presented in lovely condition

2nd Ashley-Turner’s Sh Ch Hernwood the Botanist JW ShCEx OSW

Another beautiful example of this breed, broad head with a defined stop. Good ear set and dark eye. Strong neck and well-placed long shoulder blades. Straight flat bone. Good depth to the brisket. Moved with drive but I just preferred the overall profile of one.
