2. Arthur Bartlett-Middleton. This young handler presented his Basset Bleu De Gascogne to perfection being very careful to stand his dog correctly, well done, a little out of control on the move but with practise he will become a very competent handler, please be aware of the golden rule.

1. Davies’ Annaside Wish Upon A Star. Beautifully presented black bitch of 7 months, square muzzle and correct stop, lovely dark brown eye, good ear set, well laid shoulder and lovely compact body, well sprung ribs with level top-line, she moved out well with a positive stride, liked her very much, BP & PG2.

2. Babester’s Kalispells Kings Secret. Male of 9 months, masculine head and expression with dark eye, preferred the front assembly and overall balance of 1, good spring of rib and firm in top-line, he moved out well with a positive stride, not the presentation of 1.

PG 4(2)

1. Davies’ Manchela Little Mermaid of Annaside JW. Really liked this young blue roan bitch of 2 years, lovely expressive feminine head with square muzzle, well set ears and distinct stop, well placed shoulder and correct body proportions, well sprung ribs and good depth of brisket, level top-line, good muscle tone throughout, lovely outgoing temperament and attitude, pleased to see her placed Group 4 later in the day in a large Gundog Group, well done BOB & G4.

Nicely balanced and presented young dog of 2 years, liked his outline, masculine head and expression, well set ears, preferred the stop on 1, he had good depth and shape to his ribs, level top-line and well muscled in his hindquarters which showed in his sound movement.

O 3(1)

1. Davies’ Annaside Winter’s Moon. Blue roan bitch of nearly 5 years, who I believe I have judged before, very feminine in head and expression, dark eye and well set ears, good skull, square muzzle, compact in body with well sprung rib, well placed shoulder and firm, level top-line, very excitable on the move but settled enough to show an accurate ground covering stride!

2. Peterson’s Claramand Blu Delight for Dromacre. 5 year old blue roan bitch, feminine head and expression although her eye could be shade darker for preference, overall she was nicely constructed with a balanced compact frame, good spring of rib and well let down in brisket, moved out steadily.

J 1(0)

1. Morrow’s Ruembers’s Rose To Fame. Black bitch of 13 months with a lovely feminine head and expression complemented by her eye colour, good depth of chest and correct rib, she was balanced throughout in her angulation and moved with a steady gait, just let herself down in the challenge when she wasn’t showing to advantage.

PG 3(1)

1. McDonald’s Darmilye Dancing Queen. 2 year old bitch who I thought was the most balanced throughout today, feminine head and expression with good angulation front and rear, level top-line, well muscled in hindquarters, she moved out freely to good effect and was well handled and presented, BOB.

2. Morrow’s Ruembers’s Remember Me. 11 months, chocolate, liked her head and feminine expression, well set ears and strong muzzle, well placed shoulder, good depth of chest and correct rib, she wasn’t settled today and looked unbalanced standing and moving, presented in well muscled condition.

L 2(1)

1. Morrow’s Serengoch’s Nine to Five at Ruembers’s. 2½ year old chocolate bitch with kind feminine head, well placed front with firm level top-line, she could have stood straighter in front but had good feet and correct bone, very loose in the rear going away but showed some sound movement in profile, would have liked a better coat.

RETRIEVER (NOVA SCOTIA DUCK TOLLING)

J 2(1)

1. Russell/Smith’s Tollpepper Celtic Wish for Cedarlake. Well presented promising bitch of 8 months with feminine head and appealing expression, nicely angulated front and rear with firm top-line, lacked condition today and needs to tighten in her movement which am sure will come with maturity, BP.

PG 1(0)

1. Dalton’s Rosettia Lady Marmalade. Very feminine bitch of 18 months with a lovely expression, well set ears, straight forelegs, good body proportions with level firm top-line, little untidy coming to but moved accurately in profile, out of coat today but she had excellent muscle tone and was extremely fit, BOB.
