Litchfield Canine Society – 5th January 2025 – Manchester Terrier Judge, Catherine Lomas

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge Manchester Terriers at this friendly show. The committee did an amazing job maintaining a well run show despite adverse weather conditions which severely reduced the number of exhibitors able to get to the show. I would also like to thank my stewards for their good humour efficiency and assistance. Finally to the exhibitors for allowing me to go over their dogs and good nature shown by all accepting my decisions.

1. BAILEY & HANCOCKS, MISS L & MR G, Rattustrap Crimes at Night, 8-month-old dog. Standing alone this elegant young dog has a good wedged shaped head, correct ear carriage and dark eyes with an alert expression. He has clear markings with a glossy black coat is nicely boned and developing well in body. He moved well in front but would prefer a tad more drive from behind. Well presented and handled. BPIB

1. ROBUTA-SWIEDRYCH, MRS A, Ambranera Bella Bia, 13-month-old bitch. Feminine young lady with a wedge shaped head correct ear carriage, dark almond eyes and defined markings. Sadly she wasn’t happy today which was a shame as it was difficult to assess her gait as she would not settle on the move. Sensitively handled and encouraged by her handler.
