1st - Clayton’s Northdrum Highland Prince - Smart young man so full of his own self importance. Handy size and well balanced. Good head with handsome expression, skull flat, with good width, correct amount of stop, muzzle strong and of proportionate length. Well pigmented nose, lips and eye rims. Almond shaped dark eye, full of mischief. Neat ears of good set. Strong neck fitting into well laid shoulders, straight forelegs of good bone with firm, oval feet. Body well muscled throughout, level topline held at all times, well sprung ribs and a short muscular loin. Powerful hindquarters with well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. High set tail. Rough, weatherproof coat presented well. Moved soundly with smart, co-ordinated action. Pushed hard for a place in a well filled, quality group. BOB

1st - Shields & Glen’s Wilholme Angels Envy - Attractive puppy bitch who stood alone but could hold her own in any class. Otter-like head, some breadth to skull with proportionately short and strong muzzle, scissor bite, large clean teeth. Eyes dark and expressive. Neat, v-shaped ears of good set. Neck of good length into a sound front assembly. Forelegs straight and of good bone for her size. Body of good length, spans well, ribs carried well back, strong short loin. Hindquarters sound and of correct angulation. High set tail of good carriage. Harsh coat with thick pelt. Moved soundly from all angles. Very promising. Pleased to award BPIB & Puppy G1. Delighted to see her go all the way to win BPIS.

1st - Malcolm, Glen & Knowles’ Liatch Tenacious JW ShCEx OSW - Quality bitch who presents a picture of balance. Good for size and in excellent condition throughout. Feminine head of good proportions, broad enough in skull, with strong muzzle of proportionate length. Good bite, large, strong teeth. Dark eyes of correct shape, set and size, giving keen expression. V-shaped ears, small and well set on her skull. Correct length of neck, clean and fitting smoothly into a sound front. Forelegs straight and of quality bone. Small, neat feet, pads thick. Muscular body of proportionate length, well ribbed back, loin short and strong. Good depth and spans well. Racy hindquarters, well muscled and of correct angulation. Harsh, dense coat with thick pelt. Good tail set and carriage. Moved well. BOB & Group 2
2nd - MacGregor’s Chadbrook Torsten ShCEx - Another nice exhibit, handsome male who scored highly on size and balance, just preferred 1st’s head and expression. Otter-like head of good proportions, broad skull, muzzle of good length and strength. Clean, strong scissor bite. Eye could be ever so slightly darker. Neat ears, v-shaped and of good set. Just enough neck into a moderate lay of shoulder, spans well. Forelegs straight and of good bone. Body of good length, muscular throughout, well ribbed back and short, strong loin. Strong hindquarters with angulation matching that of his forequarters. Tail of good set. Coat of good texture. Moved soundly.

1st - Hutchinson’s Kenleap Affluent Aphrodite - Oh what a naughty girl! Full of beans and such a happy little character and giving her handler a bit of a hard time today! Proportionately small head, skull broad with definite stop. Strong muzzle. Correct scissor bite. Eyes set wide apart, perhaps just a tad rounder than my ideal. Neat, pointed little ears. Enough neck into well laid shoulders. Level backed with well sprung ribs carried well back. Strong loin. Sound hindquarters. Moved well when settled. BOB

1st - Fisher’s Zackshine Dream Boy - Young male of just 1 year old. Compact and of good size with some substance. Handsome head and expression, head of correct proportions, strong muzzle, well pigmented nose. Eyes of correct size, set well apart, dark in colour. Ears small and erect well placed on skull. Enough neck into well laid shoulders. Forelegs short and strong but could be a little straighter. Chest well developed, ribs carried well back, short, strong loins with a level topline. Good width to hindquarters, well muscled with some angulation. Coat of good texture, smartly presented. Moved freely. BOB
2nd - Fisher’s Bobo Whiskey ShCM VW ShCEx - 13 year old male who is a credit to his owner. Lovely shape and size with compact, balanced outline. Good head with slightly domed skull, defined stop, strong muzzle of good length, powerful jaws. Dark, moderate sized eyes well placed in skull. Neat, erect ears. Good neck into a sound front assembly. Good depth of chest, forelegs straight and strong. Well ribbed back, just carrying a wee bit of weight, strong, short loin. Hindquarters muscular and angles matching that of fore. Moved soundly.

1st - Bain’s Muliebrity Touch Of Gold - Pretty 22month old bitch of good shape and balance. Well sized. Skull long and flat with correct breadth between ears, well chiselled, foreface with good fill, strong with powerful jaws. Lips fitting cleanly. Keen, dark eye, small and well set adding to her pleasing expression. Neat, v-shaped ears. Clean neck of adequate length into a sound front assembly, shoulders well laid, well boned straight forelegs. Muscular throughout, strong, cobby body with well sprung ribs, strong, short loin. Hindquarters well angulated and matching that of her fore. Harsh jacket presented beautifully. Moved well. BOB & Group 4
2nd - Burns’ Balchraggan Rock Whitebeam - 4 year old male. Handsome boy. A little taller on leg than 1st. Long, flat skull, strong foreface and muzzle with enough width to underjaw. Eyes of correct size, dark and well set. V-shaped ears well set atop his skull. Nice reach of neck, moderate lay of shoulder, chest of good depth, forelegs well boned. Short backed with well sprung ribs, level topline kept at all times. Muscular hindquarters with well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Good tail set and carriage. Harsh, wiry coat of good texture and presentation Moved a little close behind today.

1st - Clayton’s Nisyros Rigatoni for Lokilake - 2 year old male who stood alone but could hold his own in any class. Striking, ultra smart outline, a picture of balance, handy size and presented to perfection. Gorgeous, head, well proportioned with good furnishings, skull flat and well balanced, strong muzzle of good length with powerful jaws and good, clean scissor bite. Small, dark eyes well set with keen, intelligent expression. Small, v-shaped ears well set on skull. Reachy neck with good arch fitting seamlessly into a sound front assembly. Forelegs straight and of quality bone. Correct chest depth, short strong back with level topline kept at all times, strong, muscular loin. Hindquarters well angulated and of good muscle tone, well bent stifles and parallel hocks propelling him well on the move. Harsh, dense coat presented to perfection. Moved soundly with purpose, drive and animation. Took it up a notch in the terrier group, delighted to award him Terrier Group 1

1st - Bratcher’s Rattustrap Dark Island by Carnifex - 18 month old bitch, pretty, from a smaller mould but well proportioned. Long, flat skull of good wedge shape, almond shaped, dark eye, full of expression. V-shaped ears which could be just a fraction smaller. Strong jaws with perfect scissor bite. Enough neck, moderate lay of shoulder, chest of good depth and forelegs straight with good bone, small, strong feet. Proportionate body with well sprung ribs, carried well back to a strong loin with correct amount of tuck up. Hindquarters muscular with angles matching that of her fore. Moved ok.

1st - Hamilton’s Headscrook Heavenly Dancer - 10 month old grey bitch who shows great promise. Well balanced with good outline, lovely height to length ratio. Head developing well, long and strong, muzzle of good length. Expressive, dark brown eyes of good size and well placed in her pretty face. Erect, pricked ears with fringing coming in nicely. Good amount of neck fitting into well laid, broad shoulders. Chest and body still to develop but has plenty of time on her side for this. Level topline, ribs well sprung and carried well back, short loin. Strong hindquarters with good angulation. Large feet. Coat coming in well. Moved soundly from all angles. BPIB & PG4 in a strong puppy group.

1st - Hamilton’s Headscrook Heads or Tails - Really lovely grey bitch who scored highly on size, substance and balance. Ultra feminine head, very pretty of correct proportions, muzzle of good length with strong jaws. Scissor bite. Dark brown eyes, medium in size and well set adding to her pleasing expression. Pricked ears, erect and well feathered. Neck of good length with slight arch flowing smoothly into a sound front assembly. Good depth to chest, forelegs short and strong. Correct length to body, ribs well sprung and carried well back, level topline kept at all times, muscular, short loin. Hindquarters muscular with well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Correct tailset with good feathering. Coat of harsh texture well presented. Moved well. BOB

1st MacKay & Kirk-Gellatly’s Whitwitch No Mercy - 4 year old bitch who had plenty to say for herself! Classic outline, compact and well balanced. Beautiful head, feminine and of good proportions, long, flat skull, slight stop and a strong, powerful muzzle. Keen and alert expression from well set, almond shaped eyes framed with excellent eyebrows. Neat little ears, erect and well set. Clean, muscular neck of good length fitting into well sloped shoulders. Good depth to chest, forelegs straight and strong with quality bone. Strong, muscular body with well sprung ribs, short backed with a level topline. Muscular, short loin. Good width to hindquarters with a well rounded bum, stifles well bent with low set parallel hocks propelling her well on the move. Presented well, coat dense and harsh. Moved soundly from all angles with plenty of attitude.
2nd McNiven & Bryson’s Frazandmitch Top Of The Game at Dajaveil ShCEx - Another nice exhibit, this one a male. Ever so slightly longer in back than 1st. Handy size and of good substance. Handsome head, skull long and flat with strong foreface. Dark, almond shaped eyes spaced well apart. Ears small and erect which he used well. Would like just a shade more neck. Shoulders strong and well laid back, good depth and width to chest, forelegs short and strong. Solid little body, well muscled throughout with well sprung ribs. Level topline, strong, well muscled loin. Strong hindquarters with good muscle tone and angulation matching that of his fore angles. Moved well and handled beautifully by his young handler.

1st Henderson’s Finleric Foxy Lady - A very promising Smooth Fox Terrier puppy who got more and more confident as the class went on. Elegant, well balanced outline. Beautiful head of good proportions, skull flat, slight stop and strong muzzle of good length. Well chiselled. Small, dark eyes with excellent expression. Neat, v-shaped ears. Neck of good length flowing seamlessly into well laid shoulders. Chest developing well. Forelegs straight and of quality bone, compact, round neat feet. Short backed, ribs carried well back, loin short. Level topline kept at all times. Well developed thighs, stifles well bent and hocks parallel. High set tail of good carriage. Moved well when settled with powerful drive. BAVNSC, BPAVNSC & Puppy Group 2.
2nd De’lara’s Rhicullen Twinkling Star - 6 month old baby Bedlington Terrier who gave away a lot on maturity today. Rather raw at the moment but plenty of time on her side and everything in the right place for her to develop nicely. Pretty bitch with plenty of confidence for one so young. Head of good proportions, silky top knot coming in well. Dark, small eye with bright expression. Ears of correct shape and set. Nice amount of neck, shoulder well laid with straight forelegs. Still to develop in chest and body. Well ribbed back, loin strong with correct amount of tuck up, correct length to height ratio. Well curved hindquarters with enough bend to stifles and parallel hocks. Moved with typical mincing action.

1st Malcolm, Glen & Knowles’ Sweet Ebony Princess at Liatch - Quality Border Terrier of 8 years old in such brilliant condition. Balanced outline, handy size and spans well. Otter-like head, slightly broad skull, muzzle strong and short with powerful jaws. Perfect scissor bite. Dark eyes of good set, shape and size giving keen expression. Neat, v-shaped ears. Good length of neck fitting into a sound front assembly, shoulders well laid, straight forelegs of quality bone. Correct body proportions, ribs carried well back, short loin, keeping her topline at all times. Sound hindquarters. Moved well from all angles.
2nd MacKay’s Carisco Don’t Stop Believing - Scottish Terrier. 4th in breed class and pushed hard for 1st place here. Just carrying a smidge more weight than ideal. Handsome head with punishing muzzle, dark, keen eye with expressive eyebrows. Neat, erect ears well placed on his flat skull. Good amount of neck into well laid shoulders, nice depth and width to chest, forelegs straight and strong. Short backed with well sprung ribs, short, muscular loin and a good topline. Powerful hindquarters, well rounded bottom, nicely angulated stifle and low set hocks. Harsh, dense coat presented well. Moved soundly.
