I’d like to say a very big thank you to Coventry & District Gundog Society committee & officers for

inviting me to judge, your hospitality was wonderful and so welcoming. Also a thank you to all

exhibits entering and finally a big thank you to my wonderful stewards Jenifer and Jenny.

Cocker Spaniel

Puppy 6 Entry 4Abs

1st Davies Kerriglow Firefly Pretty gold feminine bitch. Nice kind head and soft expression.

Moving into a clean neck, nicely set to the rest on her short & compact well ribbed body. Once

settled moved out well with nice bustling movement. Still very raw as a young pup, but looks to

be very promising.

2nd McShane Maggiemac Tan Tangfastics Nicely marked pretty black & tan bitch. A little more

upright than one but I think having a growth spurt. Pleasing head with great expressions . Nice

neck into a good body, but still a raw baby. Moved better once settled I don’t think she was overly

happy in hall today. Has a fabulous coat coming I don’t envy the work once ready to come out.

1st 244 McShane Delightful Hunter London Eye At Meggiemac Nice masculine light Blue dog,

liked his cheeky character totally full of him self, only 19 months and showing off. Correct head

and good ear set. Very handsome head and balanced into sturdy neck, good compact body very

nice angulation lovely topline on the move beautifully presented BOB

2nd 256 Walker Spindlesway Heart And Soul I do really like this bitch sadly out of coat and bit

unsettled on move today which was a shame, didn’t have the sparkle 1 did. She was nicely

presented with the coat she does have. Lovely soft feminine head very pretty light blue nice short

and compact well sprung ribs a lot to like

3rd McShane Meggiemac My My My Delilah

Open 5 Entry 2 Abs

1st 250 Saunders Carmelfair Corocenzo At Oxfordogs Blue dog very masculine good placement

of shoulders well padded feet again well presented held good topline on move a lot to like RBOB

2nd 252 Seawell Lynwater Mad Hatter At Quattrozampe JW Nice Orange dog good spring of ribs

and a well developed body I preferred 1’s size. Good colouring, presented nicely and moved well

and soundly

3rd 245 McShane Meggiemac Black Pearl

Junior Handling

I’d like to thank all the handlers for coming under me they all showed great sportsmanship and I

hope to see them all continuing to handle in the future.

6-11yrs 2 Entry

1st Emily Worgan

Well presented young handler aged 7 came in ring on correct side. Had good rapport with her

dog. First reverse triangle was a good shape and was better than her T. Did get between dog and

judge. Showed teeth well.

2nd Charlotte Dungar-Bullock 9yrs Newer to handling needs to build her confidence didn’t have

the easiest dog to be fair to her. She is a nice kind handler. Shapes weren’t correct. I’d say keep at

it practice makes perfect. Showed teeth well maybe give treats after teeth.

Both need to practice shadowing and not getting between dog and judge over all both lovely

young handlers and showed excellent sportsmanship with dogs.

12-16yrs 3 Entry

1st Eliza Darkish aged 12yrs Really good rapport with her dog which wasn’t the easiest. Handled

well when going over dog spooked at something, but handler excelled in calming dog down and

letting me go over dog. Patterns were clean and presented beautify and good communication

with her dog. Watching where I was all the time excellent handler one to watch a real pleasure to

judge.

2nd Molly Davies ages 14yrs another good handler. Shadowing wasn’t the best today but I did

learn later that this was her first time handling this dog. Patterns were good and clean lost points

on 1 step out on T and shadowing over all very nice handler. I think on a different day 1 and 2

could easily change places.

3rd Holly Dungar-Bullock age 12yrs

17 -24yrs 1 Entry

Phoebe Toublic What can I say real pleasure to judge absolutely flawless, Clean patterns with

beautifully sharp corners. Great communication with her dog excellent shadowing. A handler to

watch out for well done
