JW Qualifying Heat.

A terrific entry to sort through. With this kind of entry size, many lovely young dogs didn’t make the shortlist. Well done to my ring Steward who kept things in order ensuring no one missed the class.

Ultimately, the final 5 going through were: Flaxheath Cover Girl at Glenmaurangi, Gordon Setter. Super outline, feminine but with good bone for her frame. Beautiful head and expression. Still to body-up fully but impressed on the move, excellent side gait and beautifully handled and presented. Sturtmoor’s Gon ‘N’ Dun It, Norwegian Buhund. An eye-catching, strong male. Excellent wedge head, correct eye and ear set. Moderately angled front and rear giving and an excellent level topline. Carries himself well on the move. A real showman. Malia Winter Spice with Talistella, Tibetan Spaniel. Another eye-catching exhibit. Excellent head shape, dark eye and well set-on ears. Liked his length of leg to body proportions. Sound on the move and showing his heart out. Boloria Goodnight Mr Tom, W/H Dachshund. Really impressive, young Dachs. Masculine with quality bone. Stands on excellent feet. Good head, reach of neck and depth all through. Lovely coat and furnishings, super texture. Moved with reach and drive. Ch. Rarjo Macduff Making Waves with Megulcie, Portuguese Water Dog. Super proportions, both in body and head ratios. Strong neck with good body and ribs. Firm loins. Good tail set, carried well enough on the move. Excellent coat. Moved with a moderate stride and beautifully handled.
