Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Staffordshire Bull Terriers – Falkirk Canine Society

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Falkirk Canine Society for inviting me to judge Staffordshire Bull Terriers — a true honour and privilege. A special thank you to my fantastic ring stewards, Colin Boyle and Linda Hall, whose efficiency and support made the day run smoothly and enjoyably.

I am incredibly grateful to all the exhibitors who took the time and effort to enter under me. It was a pleasure to go over such a quality entry of beautiful Staffords. I found no mouth faults, and I was pleased to see that all dogs had clear open nares with no breathing issues, which is a real credit to the breeders and owners.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier – Junior Bitch

1st – Mrs G & T Owen, Tagstane Amber Whiskey

Just under 7 months of age and already showing great promise. A well-proportioned, feminine youngster with plenty of breed type. Clean, well-shaped head with good depth and strength for her age. Eyes are dark and round, well-set, contributing to her alert and intelligent expression. Ears neat and correctly carried.

Neck of good length, clean and muscular, flowing into a developing front assembly with straight forelegs and tidy feet. Ribs well sprung for age, topline held level on the move. Rear quarters are developing well, showing good muscle and balance.

Moved out with a confident, happy-go-lucky attitude, covering the ground freely with good drive from behind. Full of spirit and handled sympathetically to allow her lively personality to shine through. A playful youngster who shows much potential for the future. Best Puppy in Breed

Staffordshire Bull Terrier – Post Graduate

1st – Mr Arthur Duncan, Rheblelstaff Sweet Thing

Aptly named, this is a truly sweet and feminine bitch with instant ring appeal. Her expression is soft yet alert, enhanced by adoring, well-shaped dark eyes that draw you in. Feminine head with good proportions, clean through the skull with distinct stop and a tidy rose ear carriage.

Shown in excellent condition — fit, well-muscled, and gleaming coat without sacrificing her clear femininity. Neck of good length flowing into well-laid shoulders, straight front with enough bone, and neat, compact feet. Ribbed well back with a short-coupled body and level topline.

She moved with effortless grace, gliding around the ring with purpose and fluidity — full of confidence, as though she knew it was her day. A well-balanced bitch who combines strength with elegance. A pleasure to judge. Best Of Breed

2nd – Miss Karen Mackay’s Aixit Baron Moley

A lovely black brindle dog who presents with excellent muscle tone and strong bone structure. Well-balanced overall with a masculine head, neat ears, and keen expression.
