1ST -244 Riondel Masquerade In Blu (Morris, Miss C) BP

Beautiful blue roan puppy from a quality kennel just oozes breed type for me, only 8 months but so well put together on every level and it was a pleasure to see her here today. A beautiful head and the sweetest expression of intelligence and gentleness from her dark eyes, lovely tight rims. Square muzzle and cleanly chiselled skull and well-defined stop. She has long silky ears set correctly. Moderate neck, muscular set neatly into fine sloping shoulders. Strong body with chest well developed and deep brisket, she is compact and stands on lovely catlike feet. Well off for bone, on the move she showed strength and purpose as she held a firm level topline, driving from wide well-rounded hindquarters. Her tail set correct and merry in action as she moved, beautiful to observe and a privilege to judge. Happy to place her BP and thrilled to see her placed 3rd in the gundog puppy group. I wish her well for her future.

2ND -234 Pendledell Violanda (Henderson, Mrs J)

Black puppy 18 months old showing good potential. She has a beautiful, sweet feminine expression and the nicest dark almond eyes. A good square muzzle sits in a cleanly chiselled skull. Presented today in good coat and she is well off for bone. Short body with well sprung ribs she moved out well showing good drive. Nice level topline. Preferred the combination of 1.

1ST -237 Zheridons Tradeoff with Hebdene (Kengyelics, Mrs J)

I loved this black boy from the moment he entered the ring. He is beautifully groomed and presented a presence. Strong, masculine with a good head, dark kind eyes oozing intelligence, fine chiselled skull on moderate neck, muscular and set into sloping shoulders. His legs are so well off for bone, short and straight and they powered his compact body well on the move. He has a well-developed chest, good spring of rib a short loin, wide and a firm level topline, gently sloping towards his tail. He was beautiful to watch coming together showing honest confirmation and movement, he drives well from short strong hocks. Still young he is showing great potential, and it was a pleasure to go over such a well-made cocker spaniel. I was happy to award him BOB today. I will follow his progress and wish him and his owner well for his future. BOB

2nd-245 Oktumi Wishful Thinking (Nickolas & Wildman, Miss L & Mr M)

Lovely 15-month bitch she has the most appealing expression. Soft kind eye showing gentleness and intelligence, with tight rims. Presented in good coat and condition, she has a good spring of rib, short in loin with a good level topline. A female smaller in frame she moved out well with good drive and showed merry sporting action. Well balanced on the move.

A nice 2-year-old male cocker of good type, he has a lovely head, kind eye and expression, longer flews and he is masculine. Compact and well off for bone and plenty of muscle. Moved out well showing good drive from behind. A happy boy showing cocker exuberance on the move.

2nd -233 Crankwoods Quick Step (Eisen, Miss C)

A lovely solid black boy of good type. A good outline well balanced, slightly longer than 1, he stands on good bone and strong in body. Compact with ribs well sprung he has a good level topline on the move. Wide well-rounded hindquarters and a good bend of stifle.

1st 231 Manchela Little Mermaid of Annaside JW (Davies, Mr P & Mrs M) This 2-year-old female, is well put together and a nice balanced cocker spaniel. Sweet head and dark eyes, tight rims showing gentle, intelligence and affectionate characteristics. Great ribs and deep brisket with muscular loin. She moved out well showing good drive from her short hocks and happy wagging tail which is always lovely to see.

2nd -241 Sandlauga Candy Crush (Mason, Miss J)

The sweetest 5-year-old blue roan female presented in good coat and condition. She is smaller in shape than 1 and has a pleasing head and expression with lovely dark eyes. Moderate reach of neck in correct shoulders she is short and cobby with a good spring of rib and she moved with good drive and the happy cocker bustle this breed is known for a lovely example.

1st -230 Annaside Winter’s Moon (Davies, Mr P & Mrs M)

I remember judging this female cocker 2 years ago, in 2023 and she went on to win the group 1, at that show. It was lovely to see her again today and she still brings quality for me. A beautiful female of good type solid proportions, she has a stunning head and expression. Dark kind eyes showing gentle intelligence. Good forequarters, strong bone and deep ribs and brisket. Short loin and muscular croup, she moves with true cocker bustle, driving well from her strong rear pasterns round the ring. She moved with purpose showing the confirmation and movement required of our breed to work with exuberance and loyalty. A dog for me who just gets better with maturity.

2nd 228 Heluin Take Applause (Daniels, Mrs J & Miss A)

5-year-old gold boy of good type. He is masculine and presented today in beautiful coat. A lovely head and nice dark eye showing a kind expression he has moderate neck set into good shoulders and straight legs. Carrying a little weight today on his withers today but good off for bone and stands on lovely thickly padded catlike feet. He moved with purpose and held his topline firm, and his tail never stopped wagging. Preferred the package of 1.
