1st Dodd & Hayes, Elfindrew Yankee Doodle - 12m O/W dog – Love this young man, it was a pleasure to go over him on his birthday. He exhibits the noble and powerful appearance characteristic of the breed, with a well-balanced, almost square outline. Chest deep, reaching to the elbows, with well-sprung ribs and a slightly arched, muscular loin. Topline slopes gently from well-defined withers to a broad croup, showing correct proportions. Movement sound and purposeful, with reach and drive. Ably displaying the extended trot profile movement specific to the breed. BP & BOB

2nd R. Woodhouse, Elfindrew Bye Baby Buntin at Vixenmoor – 12m O/W Bitch – This young lady gave her litter brother (placed first) a run for his money today. Head shows excellent breed type—sculpted, with good length, divergent planes and oval eyes soft and intelligent. Forequarters straight and strong, with oval bone and clean musculature. Shoulders long and well laid back, allowing for free movement. Hindquarters well developed, with good bend of stifle and parallel hocks. Feet tight and slightly oval, with well-arched toes. Lost out to her brother today, but am certain she is one to watch as she continues to mature.

1st A & V Warburton’s Owlspoint Loads of Trouble at Heberhouse (JW) – 2yrs O/W Dog. Mature male of strong type and pleasing proportions, presenting a noble and powerful outline consistent with the breed standard. Well-developed chest reaching to the elbows, with good depth and breadth. Ribcage well sprung, and loin muscular with a slight arch. On the move, maintained balance and rhythm, the uneven ground didn’t allow the handler to fully demonstrate fluid, ground-covering motion of BOB. RBOB.

2nd M & C Sanderson’s Sh CH Owlspoint Trouble Again JW ShCEx OSW - 7 yrs C/W Dog. He is of substantial presence. Skull is broad and well-developed, with a pronounced occiput. Muzzle is deep and slightly arched, with excellent width and substance, and correct divergent plane with skull. Presents a strong frame with good depth of chest reaching to the elbows and well-sprung ribs. Stacked his topline lacks the expected gentle slope from prominent withers to croup which impacts his silhouette, this levelled on the move. Preferred the reach and drive of 1 today. BV

1st A & V Warburton’s Withamfairy Lush Blossom at Heberhouse - 3yrs C/W Bitch. A mature and well-balanced bitch of pleasing type. The planes of skull and muzzle show correct divergence. Muzzle deep and slightly arched, with well-padded lips and a prominent, spongy nose. Forequarters straight and strong, with oval bone and clean musculature. Hindquarters well developed, with parallel thighs and lean rear pasterns. Feet tight and slightly oval, with well-arched toes. Demonstrating balance and correct footfall on the move but didn’t quite have the enthusiasm of the boys on this occasion.
