1st Mcdonald’s Roanjoya Montepulcianon VW 9 year old finer in bone all through, clean long neck, good layback of shoulder, good spring of rib and well bent stifle, correct topline and tail carriage on the move, moved effortlessly round the ring with a tail that never stopped wagging.

2nd Box’s Fernstart Heart’s Desire Feminine bitch, clean neck, good depth of chest for age, would prefer tighter feet, short loin, shown in in excellent gleaming coat, needs to settle on the move.

2nd Box’s Bardonhill It’s Now Or Never for Fernstart. This very excitable dog gave his handler a really challenging time, lovely dark eye with kind expression, clean long neck into well laid shoulders, gently sloping topline, good spring of rib, strong loin, well bent stifle, moved soundly but wanted to race round the ring today. 2nd Davis’ Pawsword Prairie Wind with Alansett JW Loved this boy for his shape and outline, masculine head with intelligent expression, slightly arched neck into well laid back shoulders, straight forelegs leading to tight feet, strong loin, good spring of rib, well bent stifle, in profuse wavy coat, just wish he would have slowed down on the move.

2nd Marshall’s Soufriere One Vision JW. Feminine bitch, deep chested, moderate spring of rib, would prefer more length in leg, in good rough coat, tended to move closely in the rear on the move.

I liked both of these boys.

1st Osbourne’s Beaujons Wayne Sleep with Braego Compact dog that appealed for breed type, masculine head with good beard and moustache, lovely friendly expression, clean neck, deep chested with good spring of rib and good rear end, in good rough coat, moved effortlessly.

2nd Wood’s Beaujons Anton Du Beke. Litter brother to my winner I see, similar remarks apply but just preferred the movement of first on the day.

1st Skerritt & Betts’ Monkhams Nightingale JW. Not in her best coat but loved her for shape and breed type, nice head and so feminine throughout. Straight front, tight feet, good spring of rib, just needs a bit of time to mature on a bit. RBOB

2nd Townsend’s Overbecks Esme Shelby at Roxastan Feminine longer cast bitch with a pretty head with correct eye shape and colour, strong neck, needs to develop in body, good tailset and carriage. Moved ok.

2nd Wallis Baga’s Velrok Este Ellerina (AI) Heavier bitch throughout, feminine head with dark eyes, stop clearly defined, deep chested, well sprung ribs, coat not its best, moved ok.

2nd Burrage’s Komidion Sonata for Sametova JW. Feminine bitch with a pleasing head with friendly expression, clean neck, correct front and rear assembly, good spring of rib, well muscled rear end, she just did not want to move today

1ST Burrage’s Ch Sametova Bacary Masculine dog with good eye and friendly expression, moderately long neck into correct front assembly, strong boned forelegs leading to rounded feet, deep chested and well sprung ribs, well muscled rear, good topline which was held on the move, in good coat, won this class on movement, striding out round the ring. BOB

2nd Fewing’s Komidion Schubert Longer cast larger dog than winner, masculine dog, deep chested, well boned forelegs, slight tuck up, excellent topline, well muscled rear end, in good coat, moved well.

BRACE (17,10)

1st McDonald’s Irish Red and White Setter. Well matched pair and nicely presented on the stack, when moving they moved out so well together and were handled well.

2nd Impey’s Bedlington Terrier Again another lovely pair that were presented and handled well, moved out well effortlessly.
