I would first like to give thanks to the club for their invitation to judge and hospitality throughout. Their hard work was evident in the success of the show. Alongside this I must thank my stewards, Elisha & Linda, for keeping the ring running smoothly.
I had an entry of 56 dogs with 58 entries, my heartfelt thanks to those who entered under me and took my decisions graciously. I was pleased with quality across the board, particularly in bitches. I did have slight concerns over mouths, with many underbites found from beyond puppy classes - something to be mindful of going forward. On a positive note I was pleased to see so many veterans out today, many could teach the youngsters a thing or two!

2 y/o red sable male who may have preferred to be at home today. Typical head, skull well rounded with large eyes. Front a touch wide. Ample length of neck with level backline, tail set well and of good length. Adequate bend to stifle. Unfortunately seemed to be overawed today.

Limit Bitch (3,0)
The strongest class of the day with three pleasing bitches.
1 - Entwistle’s Dorenty Textututango
15 m/o cream bitch whom I have gone over before - she only keeps getting better. Most feminine of headpieces with melting expression. Front is well developed with sufficient depth to brisket, forelegs straight. Neck is of medium length leading to level back, sickle tail as full as a plume carried up and over throughout. Hocks well let down and apart, stifles well bent. Moves soundly both ways, holding her top line. Her awards today were most deserved. BB & BOB

RBB
3 - Jones’ Flickan Flapjack JW
Open Bitch (2,0)

5 y/o quality fawn bitch. Attractive head with saucy expression. Forelegs sat well under chest with shoulders well laid, ribs amply sprung. Nice length of neck, off square in proportion. Good rear with stifles well bent and hocks let down. Sickle tail used throughout. Moved out okay at a brisk pace.
2 - Holmes’ Baralicia Elsa at Teclo
3 y/o honest fawn bitch who had left her coat at home today. Apple domed skull with large ears used to advantage. Well made in front with good lay of shoulder. Tail is set on high and of sickle shape, level topline held throughout. Would like a touch more turn of stifle to finish the picture.
Veteran Bitch (3,0)
A close class indeed.
1 - Cragg’s Reynoldco Sweet Dreams JW
9 y/o sable and white bitch looking well for her age. Classic head, well rounded skull with saucy expression. Forelegs are straight and set well under the chest with shoulders well laid. Ribs well sprung, turn of stifle okay. She was up for it on the move, clearly enjoying her time in the ring, but lost her topline at times which swayed me towards the Veteran Dog Winner in the challenge. BVB & RBVIB
2 - Holland-Smith’s Oozora Queen of Mystery JW
7 y/o sound red sable bitch. Expressive head, moderately short muzzle with slight point. Forequarters well made with correct lay of shoulder. Back line level with high set sickle tail. Hindquarters well muscled with good turn of stifle. Presented in lovely condition.
