PUPPY (2,0)

1st – West & Sexton’s Bimini Night Sky with Archidax

Very handsome 8mth old dog showing a lot of promise. He presented in good harsh coat with a good head and prominent eye ridges developing and well-set ears. Excellent teeth. Very well laid shoulders with his upper arm including round the rib cage to give balanced front conformation and good ground clearance. Good length to his topline without being too long and ribbing extending back well. Hind conformation was good and free, ground covering movement. BP and HPG3.

2nd – Rose’s Rozamie Reflection of Rosencrantz

7mth old red bitch who made the decision tough as she was as feminine as the winner was masculine. Feminine head with correct ear set and dentition leading into a very elegant neck. Prominent breastbone with good shoulder angulation. Topline is correct but still strengthening at this stage however her movement is straight and correct and so this will only improve with age and strength. Correct proud carriage.

POST GRADUATE (2,0)

1st – Peek’s Milkwood May Ze

14mth old red bitch who was a little overwhelmed on the day. Very feminine head with lovely expression into a good length of neck. She has a correct front with prominent breastbone into well laid shoulders and balance forelimb construction with good ground clearance. Hind conformation straight and correct and she moved well.

2nd – Rose’s Merryline Martha with Rosencrantz JW

17mth old bitch with a nice harsh coat and lovely prominent eye ridges to accentuate her correct head. Sufficient ground clearance and angulation in front. Good level topline with sufficient ribbing extending back. Hind angles ok in profile however on moving away and stood from behind her hocks were a bit closer than ideal.

LIMIT (3,0)

1st - Hawkins’ Martinks Storm in a Teacup for Lonaza

7yr old solid male. Strong masculine head with prominent eye ridges. Very good length of neck into very firm topline. Well sloped shoulders into prominent chest. Good ribbing and well-muscled and angulated rear meaning he moved with drive, covering the ground. RBOB

2nd – Peek’s Milkwood May Bud

14mth old male who is going to be a very nice dog when he finishes. Very pleasing type with a good head, prominent fore chest and correct topline. He has good angulation behind and shows a lot of promise to come and just lost out today to maturity on this occasion.

OPEN (2,0)

1st – West’s Ch Archidax Dark Phoenix

Gorgeous 6yr old bitch who caught my eye immediately and so I wasn’t surprised to learn afterwards she was a Champion. Completely feminine throughout whilst showing strength and breed type. Stacked she was just a perfect picture with her lovely correct head, dark eyes and well-set ears leading into a good length neck and well laid shoulders. Prominent breastbone and forelegs curving in correctly to give well balance limbs. Very good level topline without being too long, good ribbing and hind angulation. Straight correct movement that covered the ground for one so small. Lovely harsh correct coat. BOB and I see she also took HG4

2nd – Rose’s Barratini Song and Dance with Rosencrantz JW

2yr old bitch who overall gave a pleasing impression. Good head shape and eye with decent ear positioning. Excellent fore chest and prominent breastbone with good topline. Didn’t feel she has the strength in her hind quarters as yet which led to her being a bit close behind and so movement not as clean as the winner.
