Chesapeake Bay Retriever.

Limit (1,1)

Open (2,1)

1. Rigby Sh Ch Chesepi Waco.

Mature chap, a touch laid back on the move and not really using his bone and muscle to best advantage, he had a super relaxed charming attitude which was rather alluring, lovely richness and texture to his coat, masculine but not overdone, scores in body and is balanced to the fore and rear, stood alone but a worthy winner all the same.

Irish Water Spaniel.

Puppy (2)

1. Bradley Nyllaup Oregon Sunstone. Smart upstanding male, who showed well for one so young, full of type, strongly built but compact, not phased by the busy hall and showed well, a superb coat is emerging, will watch progress with interest BP.

2. Williamson V’reiltin Vsgienne De La Riviere Ouareau for Tingleburn (Imp Fra) Unsettled today, was more interested in being outside the ring rather than in it, but we’ve all been there, more time and practice will help with progression, clearly sound and with lots of personality too!

Open (2)

1. Bradley Sh Ch Stanegate Stage Debut (AI) ShCEx. Smart upstanding exhibit shown in super condition, long strong muzzle, sound dentition, scores in body with ribs well back, low in hock and moved very soundly, a pleasure to assess. BOB

2. Williamson Finchsmill Secret Surprise for Tingleburn. Much to like but carrying too much condition which covered a good body, lovely almost almond eye of good colour, fineness to the head, moved well but not with the determination of 1.

Laggotto Romagnolo.

Puppy (0)

Junior (2)

1. Fitton Skeen & Bond Spencer Tracey. Eye catching compact exhibit showed very well for one so young, fulfils the ‘sturdy and robust’ requirement with ease, is compact with good body a super coat is emerging, moved with considerable ease and coordination BOB.

2. Thomas Articbreeze On The Double (AI). Lots to like here just not has forward as 1, longer in body than one, but not overdone, great coat, lovely eye and a head was a pleasure to assess, moved well just not as settled as 1, all in good time.

Postgraduate (4)

1. Pragg & Willott Articbreeze On Vacation. Immediately struck me as having that typical Lagotto outline and didn’t disappoint upon closer assessment, scores in compact body and correct proportions, pleasing head with wide nostrils and good teeth, liked the topline and outline which was held on the move.

2. Tanner & Kirkham Articbreeze Smile and Wave Full of rustic charm with nothing over styled or hidden, body is super to handle, lovely feet and good bone, just not quite as showy as one, but another day they could change places.

Open (2)

1. Allen Vincenzino At Amadar (Imp Ita). This one had great appeal, liked the size, bone and substance, super hard topline and moved well, today I felt the junior winner had more animation on the move so had to settle for the class win, but I am sure has great success and would do better in the more expansive ring.

2. Mort Articbreeze Top Secret. A new partnership and they were just finding their feet, but it was a joy to watch the temperament of this super breed at its best, good coat, nice size, scores in angles and in super condition, I hope these two are given the encouragement they deserve.
