Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society

Thanks to the Society for the invitation to judge at this very well attended show in the

Dales, great setting and loads of space; met with a very welcoming team and I must

thank my lovely steward Chris, he coped well with the heat and the back and forth

journeys from ring to tent, and certainly kept exhibitors up to date with what was going

on, although unfortunately one lady did manage to miss her class as she didn’t hear the

announcement.

1. Dawson’s Hydebeck Time To Love at Graefyn upstanding brindle male and

looked promising, good long head with neat ears & dark eye giving good

more strength, coat a little softer than preferred.

head was masculine & he had a strong jaw, good ears, neck could be a tad longer

to be ideal & shoulder better laid back, he had very good depth & ribbing, touch

more angle to front & rear would be ideal as I felt he was slightly more restricted

in his reach when moving. Res. BOB

2. Murray’s Dukesarum Casper at Sabata upstanding dark grey/br male his head

had good balance & appealing expression, dark eye, ears neat, chest had depth

& topline was good, underbelly okay, preference would be for better front & rear

angle with more pastern & hock strength, moved around in profile well enough

but up & away could have been more positive.
