Ripon & District Canine Society – Sunday 1st June 2025

I would like to thank the committee of Ripon & District Canine Society for the invitation to judge Golden Retrievers at their June 2025 show. Also, thank you to my stewards on the day for all their assistance and the wonderful entries from the Golden Retriever exhibitors. Lovely friendly outside show and I was made very welcome.

RETRIEVERS (GOLDEN)

Class 1 Retriever (Golden) Minor Puppy (6 Entries, 2 Absent)

1st Foster – Auristela Ginger Rogers. 9 month old female with lovely feminine head and presented in most beautiful pale coat. Symmetrical in shape and very balanced, forelegs straight with well laid back shoulders. Level topline when standing, which she kept on the move and at one with her handler. Pleased to award Best Puppy in Breed

2nd Robinson – Baricia Bella D’Oro. 8 month old male in lovely pale coat with masculine head and kind expression. Well balanced for his age with good rear angulation and straight forelegs. Deep ribs and well sprung with level topline when free standing and kept on the move. Lovely boy

3. Smith – Goldmarker Alderbaran

Class 2 Retriever (Golden) Junior (6 Entries, 4 Absent)

1st Nelson – Cadwst Song of Spring. 13 month old female with lovely feminine head and presented in beautiful pale coat. At one with her handler and moved around the ring with ease showing off her level topline. Well balanced and symmetrical in shape with straight forelegs, lovely dark pigment.

2nd Searle – Astleyfold Snowy Bell. 16 month old female with lovely feminine head and kind expression, presented in beautiful pale coat. Very balanced and symmetrical in shape, with round cat like feet and straight forelegs. Nice level topline which she kept on the move and at one with her handler

Class 3 Retriever (Golden) Post Graduate (12 Entries, 5 Absent)

1. Robbins & Rowark – Brekswood Honey Bee JW. 22 month old female in lovely golden coat. Very balanced female who moved well with her handler showing off her lovely level topline. Straight forelegs with good bone and well laid back shoulders. Legs and loin strong and muscular, hocks well let down and straight when viewing from rear. Lovely feminine head with good length of neck. Pleased to award her Best of Breed

2. Johnson – Moloko Ow Do. 23 month old female presented in lovely pale coat, with beautiful feminine head. Very balanced and symmetrical in shape with good rear angulation and straight front legs, feet round and cat like. Lovely topline which she kept on the move and at one with her handler. Good depth of chest with well sprung ribs.

3. James – Tsarmont Oh So Starstruck (AI) JW

Class 4 Retriever (Golden) Open (14 Entries, 3 Absent)

1 Walker & Roberts – Lamancha Trust Your Heart With Gloi JW. 2.5 year old female with beautiful feminine head, shown in the most beautiful gleaming coat which definitely stood out in this class. Forelegs straight with good bone and shoulders well laid back, good length of neck. Free stood which showed off her level topline which she kept on the move, pleased to award Reserve Best of Breed.

2 Smith – Goldmarker Luminess (AI) – 3.5 year old female in lovely golden coat. Short coupled with deep well sprung ribs. Lovely level topline and straight forelegs with good bone. Moved around the ring with ease and at one with her handler. Beautiful feminine head with kind expression.

3 Foster – Eau My Gold V D Corner Brook for Auristela (IMP NLD) JW
