Cocker Spaniel

G (11, 1) 1st Fairbairn and Madigan, Carmelfair Cesare from Misperros, A balanced blue roan dog puppy of 11 months. Presented in a good puppy coat. Attractive head with dark eyes giving a gentle expression. He has a definite stop and a square muzzle. Good length of neck into fine, well laid shoulder. Plenty fore chest with straight, well boned front legs. Big spring of rib, short wide loin with round hind quarters. Good rear angulation. Moved merrily round the ring holding a firm topline using his tail well. BP and delighted to see him take Group 4 in the Puppy Group. 

 2nd Nuttall, Rosecourt Petitoes A sturdy and balanced black and white bitch of 12 months. Shown in lovely coat. Feminine head with kind dark eyes. Muscular neck of a moderate length which flowed well into shoulder. Preferred the shoulder of 1. Straight front legs with good bone. Firm topline with good width to loin. Correct tail set. Good bend of stifle with plenty angulation through hindquarters. Moved straight fore and aft. Moved round the ring with a merry tail. 

PG (7, 1) 1st Torbett, Kirlinjis Handmade (JW), A 3 year old blue roan bitch. Compact overall picture when stacked. Well presented coat. Pretty head with correct muzzle and stop. She has low set ears. Moderate length of neck set neatly into well placed shoulders. Straight front legs, big spring of rib and short loin. She has a gentle slope through croup to tail. Round well muscled hindquarters. Moved with drive round the ring using her wagging tail. 

2nd Duncan, Dunherl Mountain Ash, A 14 month old sturdy blue roan dog. Shown with a flat and smooth coat with good feathering. Little bigger type than 1. Masculine head. He has dark eyes with a kind expression. Low set lobular ears. Moderate length of neck into well laid shoulder. Front legs straight and well off for bone. Big spring of rib. A little longer in body than 1. Short below hocks. Merry mover using his tail round the ring. 

O (8, 1) 1st Fairbairn and Madigan, Misperros Incandescent at Carmelfair JW, A 2 year old blue roan bitch. Quality bitch who presents a balanced overall picture. Shown in excellent coat. Pleasing head with dark eye and a gentle expression. She has correct muzzle and proportions of head. Correct set ears. Moderate length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good width of chest with well boned straight front legs. Standing on cat like feet. Plenty of rib, short wide loin. Strong firm topline finishing with a gentle slope to a well placed tail. Good turn of stifle and short below hocks. Was a little exuberant on the move but more settled in the challenge. BOB and went on to Gundog Group 3 under Group judge Bryan McCabe-Bell. 

2nd Torbett, Kirlinjis Made You Wait, Another quality bitch, 3 year old blue roan who presents a compact overall picture. Presented in good coat. She has a feminine head with dark eyes, tight eye rims and a square muzzle. Muscular neck of a moderate length flowing into her shoulders. Excels in ribs, short through loin with round hindquarters. She has a good tail set. Short below hocks to produce a driving movement round ring. Preferred the balance of the overall picture of 1.
