Members Single Breed Limited Show (North)
Sunday 20th July 2025
I would like to thank the committee for the kind invitation to judge their Members’ Single Breed Limited Show North on Sunday, the 20th of July 2025. My gratitude also goes to all the exhibitors who entered their beautiful hounds under me. It was an absolute privilege and honour to judge them all. I thoroughly enjoyed my day set in the beautiful Scottish Borders, and a special thank you to my two amazing stewards, Diana and Joy, who made it a fun-filled day that ran smoothly. The weather was kind, too kind at times as it was rather hot for the dogs but I must say they coped amazingly well in the heat! Thank you all for a super day and for taking my decisions in good spirit.
Class 1 – Puppy dog - no entries
Class 2 – Novice Dog (2,1)

He has an excellent length of body and a well-shaped head with good ear set. His feet are strong and well-arched, and he carries a good coat of correct texture. With good depth of chest and well-muscled throughout. Excellent rear angulation, with great length from hip to his strong hocks well-turned stifles and excellent width of first and second thigh. Lovely shoulder placement, with return of upper arm and legs underneath him. Good length and depth of body, strong loins, shown in lean, fit condition. I’d like a bit more turn of stifle to complete the picture. While he did tend to pace a little on the move initially, once he settled into his stride he covered the ground well and showed his true movement.
