Thank you to the Officers and Committee of Oswestry and District Kennel Association for kindly inviting me to judge the Terrier group at their show on the 20th July 2025. Also a big thank you to my stewards Gayle Evans and Kim Lathaem. Sealyham Terrier Open Class (2:1) 1st Hart-Smith’s Jet Forza Bruno - 12 month old dog - put down in good condition, nice strong head, correct bite, could feel strength in body as going over him, well presented and handled well. BOB Skye Terrier Graduate (4:1) 1st Heale & Davies Rhoderns Arbika of Trelawneki 22 month old black dog who owned the ring. Standing presented a good outline, masculine head of good length with dark eyes and erect ears. His muscular neck is of good length. Held a firm and level top line when moving. Perfectly balanced moving freely and with purpose, Good flat and hard coat, pleased to award him BOB, Group 1 and delighted to see him go Reserve Best in Show. 2nd Baker’s Silverbriar Bryony 9 mth bitch, good head and expression, nicely balanced for her age, level top line and moved well. BPIB & Puppy Gp 4 3rd Baker’s Silverbriar Persia Open (3) 1st Robert’s Kilfinan Seren Gail at Sunabil 6 yr old silver bitch, presented a pleasing outline with neck of good length, good length to ribcage and good tail carriage. Feminine head with strong muzzle and excellent dentition RBOB 2nd Baker’s Silverbriar Bryony 3rd Baker’s Silverbriar Persia Welsh Terrier (2:1) 1st Griffiths Chadbrook Foreign Trade 11 month dog, good strong jaws with correct scissor bite. Small dark eyes good earset, moderate length of neck nice front and shoulders, held a good top line on the move, handled well. BOB and Puppy Group 3. AVNSC Junior (4) 1st Pryce’s Cenaubach I do - Glen of Imaal Terrier, 14mth wheaten dog, a strong head, kind dark eyes and small neat ears presenting a lovely expression. Correct in type and presented the correct outline, slightly longer than height at withers. A well constructed dog with well laid shoulders. He is well boned and he moved soundly in all aspects. Reserve Best AVNSC 2nd Bailey’s Bailey & Hancocks Rattustrap Crimes at Night - Manchester Terrier of good proportions and outline, moved well, correct markings and good expression. 3rd Melia’s Carradine Miss Betty AVEC Roachdee - Cairn Terrier Post Graduate (5:2) 1st Bailey’s Bailey & Hancocks Rattustrap Crimes at Night 2nd Brooks Zetamaz Stand and Deliver Head - SFT very typical of the breed with dark eye. Good overall substance but just lacked confidence on the move. 3rd Melia’s Carradine Miss Betty AVEC Roachdee - Cairn Terrier Open (3) 1st Brooks Zetamaz Drama Queen - SFT - Head very typical of the breed with good dark eye. Good dentition and used her ears all the time to show off. Good overall substance, well ribbed and held a good topline. Best AVNSC & Group 3 2nd Hiam’s Ch Carradine Arfa Pint JW - Cairn - 4 yr male, put down in excellent condition. Well balanced, lovely head with strong jaw and scissor bite. moved with drive and purpose. 3rd Pryce’s Cascade and So it Begins - Glen of Imaal Terrier Terrier Group Group 1 Skye Terrier - Heale & Davies’ Rhoderns Arbika of Trelawnek Group 2 Border Terrier - Stevens Ch Cobstoneway Stand by Me JW - Grizzle & Tan. Keen expression with a dark keen eye. Excellent neck and shoulders with good return of upper arm. Easily spanned, lovely topline and tailset. Good harsh top coat with good undercoat. Moved well with a free and easy stride. Group 3 Smooth Fox Terrier Group 4 Jack Russell Terrier - Addoo’s Reulemill Floss Hass - very smart bitch, lovely feminine head and expression, correct bite, good earset, good fore chest and ample substance, easy to span, good coat and pelt and moved and handled well. Terrier Puppy Group Group 1 JRT Addoo’s Reulemill Floss Hass Group 2 Border Terrier - Barbers Alcumlow Sip and Swirl - Blue and tan bitch, very promising youngster. Lovely head dark eye and good ear placement. Lovely straight front, good bone and a narrow and easy to span rib. Very balanced and moved well. Group 3 Welsh Terrier Group 4 Skye Terrier AV Veteran (2:1) 1st Jordan-Smith Ch Riverside Marsha at Jordith JW - Border Terrier Nice sized bitch, grizzle/tan, good dentition, balanced on the move, able to span, and handled well.
