Thame & Oxfordshire County Canine Society

Boston Terrier: I would like to thank the Officers and hardworking committee of Thame & Oxfordshire County Canine Society for the invitation to judge the breed so close to my heart. I would also like to thank my two lovely stewards who ensured the ring moved smoothly and for all the exhibitors.

P (2,0) 1 Masters APRIKA GRACELAND. 11-month-old girl with the prettiest head and correct eye melting expression. Square head and superb skull to muzzle balance. Classic abrupt brown and defined stop. Pleasing open nostrils and good dentition. Appealing straight front and strong pasterns. Level topline leading to slight curve to rump and adequate short tail. Well angulated hindquarters complete with tight feet. Feminine throughout. Moved with elegance. BP. 2 King’s KINGLINE NELL GWYN. Another smart youngster who adopted the joyful classic Boston attitude. Beautiful square head developing well with nice dark eye and abrupt stop. Fantastic ear placement which she used well throughout. Straight front although a little down on pasterns today. Pleasing neck set neatly into correct lay back of shoulders. Good width of chest encompassing well sprung ribs carried right back to muscular loins. Level topline. Would prefer fraction more hindlimb angulation. Shown in excellent condition. Moved a little unsteady today but loved this girl’s determination. SY (1,0) 1 Grange’s VALBROWN’S NOTHING COMPARES TWO U BOSTIES (Imp Hun). Very excitable 12-month-old strikingly marked lad who really enjoyed himself today making his handler work hard! Exquisite square head with lovely skull to muzzle balance. Flat on top on skull between correctly set erect ears which he used well. Dark round eyes full of expression. Flat cheeks and pleasing open nostrils. Good broad jaws and dentition. Appealing front with good width and depth to chest and strong pasterns. Being fussy, I would prefer slightly tighter feet. Neck set neatly into shoulders. Nice short back and loins complete with a slight curve to rump to correct tail set. Pleasing hindquarter angulation. Unfortunately, movement let him down today being very eager to get around the ring. Beautiful outline and well-proportioned throughout. L (5,1) 1 Grange’s Prince Ali Konfident Step to Bosties (Imp Ukr). A lot to like about this balanced 3-year-old displaying plenty of quality throughout. Square head and superb skull to muzzle balance. Absolutely loved the kind intelligent expression of this boy. Adequate ear set, moderate cushioning and good dentition. Slight arch to neck leading to sloping shoulders. Strong front and tight feet. Chest deep with good width encompassing well sprung ribs. Level topline and correct tuck up. Body short but all in proportion. Particularly liked the pleasing hindlimb angulation. Once settled, moved well maintaining determination and elegance. BOB. 2 Sandells SHAWMUT PONTIAC CHIEFTAIN. 3-year-old masculine boy with expressive kind eyes. Skull flat on top between alert ears which he used well. Eyes nicely round although would prefer slightly less white shown around iris. Muzzle square complete with broad jaw. Strong beautifully arched neck leading to nice lay back of shoulders. Straight front although a little down on pasterns today. Adequate topline with pleasing hindquarter angulation. Would prefer slightly tighter feet. Presented well and moved around the ring with drive. 3 Trevett’s Sarkay Pocketfulasunshine. O (6,2) 1 King’s RADCY JIVE KINGSLINE. This 7-year-old girl caught my eye as she moved effortlessly into the ring. This girl pulls you in with the sweetest of eyes full of kindness and expression. Skull fat on top, ears in proportion to head although would prefer slightly higher set. Good eye placement and correct cushioning beneath. Flat cheeks and lovely open nostrils. Square in muzzle complete with clean flews and broad jaw. Attractive neck leading to level topline and good tail set. Pleasing forequarters and hindquarters which were strong and well-muscled complete with nice tight feet. This girl glided around the ring today free flowing with rhythm and drive. RBOB. 2 Sandells SHAWMUT THE TRAILBLAZER. Another nice male showing masculinity throughout. Adequate head, absent from wrinkles and with a heartwarming expression. Alert ears used well. Classic abrupt brow and well-defined stop. Round eye, would prefer slightly less white around iris. Pleasing open nostrils, good dentition and clean flews. Strong front complete with deep wide chest. Would prefer slightly tighter feet. Nice arch to neck leading to level topline and correct tail set. Correct tuck up and well let down hocks. Well-muscled throughout. Moved with determination and drive but did not quite have the free flowing movement on 1 today. 3 Trevett Sarkay Ricochet.
