Boston DCS Premier Show (21/12/25)

Thank you to the hardworking officers and Committee for the invite to judge these breeds at your Christmas Premier show, thank you to my Steward for keeping the ring running smoothly and most importantly thank you to the exhibitors that took the time to enter under me and to those that were able to make it on the day, I believe the higher number of absentees in some breeds was unfortunately due to a bout of Kennel cough doing the rounds. I was really pleased with the quality of my entry overall, Thank you again.

1st Nichols - Chantalle's Ink Spot Smart 4 Year old dog with nice flat skull, with correct ear and eye shape, deep chest and nice straight front legs if not a little wide, good topline and tail set. Moved well

1st Nichols - Zetamaz Just Inked 8 year old dog who is holding his age well, less stocky and more refined, preferred his longer neck and held his topline well on the move using his tail correctly, strong front and hindquarters BOB

1st Miss A Witmond - Urananus Essence of The Sun at Tiltser - 6 month old puppy dog who was a showman today, nice size for his age, good head, with strong muzzle and well defined stop, correct eye shape and expression, using his ears to his advantage. Correct bite, nice clean neck carrying his head well, good chest and shoulders with correct hindquarters moved well BPIB – pleased to see her go on to be placed Puppy Group 2.

2nd Miss T J Irving - Twinan Silver Dollar Smart 7 month old puppy dog, Nice head correct bite and expression, more compact than 1 and a little narrower in front not giving him the forward stride, but nice overall outline.

1st Miss A Witmond - Tiltser Mint Velvet 13 Month B, well presented, nice head and ears which she used to her advantage, on the smaller size overall but everything in proportion giving her the correct shape. Correct bite, Correct tail set and moved well.

2nd Mrs D & Miss W Kay & Smith - Jackopeaks Peaches Legacy, B Nice head proportions and eye, correct bite, strong neck into well laid back shoulders, correct straight front and good rear angulation

1st Mr D I & Mrs J A Thornley & Smith - Dancing in The Dark at Robythorn D, smart rough coat dog, good head proportions and use of ears, correct bite, straight front, well laid back shoulders, good front and rear angulation, well muscled, nice topline and moved well.

2nd Mrs D & Mr D Wagh - Rodale Rocky Road for Dewdhala D, unfortunately the coat presentation let this dog down, he has a nice head and ear, correct bite, good fore chest and correct straight front and rear angulation

1st Mr D I & Mrs J A Thornley & Smith Fast Love with Locheil ShCEx Smart 5yr old Dog =, correct head and skull with dark eye and correct ear shape and set – keen expression, correct bite, good angulation front and rear, held his topline and moved very well BOB

2nd Mrs D Kay - Blazingjacks Best Mate with Jackopeaks – another smart Dog, slightly longer but still holds a nice outline, nice head shape, correct bite lovely front and rear angulation with very strong hindquarters, just prefer the tail carriage of 1st.

1st Mrs L Guy - Suelynda Dream Dreamer to Jahanghir Smart young Dog, with nice square head, with nice dark eyes and correct ears, correct bite. Long and thick neck into sloping shoulders and straight forequarters, good topline and movement today

2nd Mr C & Mrs S Crittenden- Malbecmogs Tiger Eyes Dog which is finer throughout, correct bite, nice shape, with good front and rear but unfortunately did not move as well.

1st Mr R I & Miss M Dawson Beskerby Flora Finching JW, nice 2 year old B who had a lovely overall outline, correct bite, head of correct shape and not overdone, correct eye and ear, thick powerful neck and correctly sloping shoulders, short legs and a muscular body. Correct tail set - moved well BOB

1st Mr L & Miss A & Mrs D Nicklin & Bellamy & Nicklin - Sieger's She's A Classic for Wythnick (Imp Dan) Pretty 11 month old bitch, more lightly marked liver and white who is a lovely shape overall, Well defined head, with correct eye and ear, correct bite. Well boned, well set shoulders and correct front angulation, good topline into strong hindquarters with good turn of stifle, tended to carry her tail slightly high on the move but sure this will settle with age. BPIB

2nd Mrs P & Ms C P & Mr P W Wallis & Savell & Osbourne - Petranella Strike It Rich

6 month old bitch, very pretty but very unsettled today. Nice overall shape, deep chest and good front and rear angulation.

SY (6/2) – What a class! Splitting hairs in this class, and I am sure all 4 placings could swap on any day, the rind did not do them justice and some of them could not get their full stride.

1st Mr G & Mrs S Tolladay - Chanangel Yorkshire Ale with Bethersden – lovely young liver and white dog, presented in lovely condition, beautiful well defined head, nice ears, eyes and correct bite, good length of neck slightly arched into well laid sloping shoulders, correct front and rear angulation, moved well.

2nd Mr L E Nicklin - Daenerys Girl On Fire at Dexbenella Another lovely youngster, very pretty bitch who let herself down against 1 with her fidgetiness throwing off her balance on the stack at times but still fought hard. Liver and white with beautiful head, deep forechest and well sprung ribs, correct front and rear angulation, moved well.

1st Mrs T E Topliss - Beresford Stand On Ceremony lovely liver and white bitch, correct head, eyes and ears, deep chest and nice neck and shoulders, good topline and rear angulation moved well.

2nd Mrs Sde & Miss Md Frusher & Slack - Chanangel When You Believe at Shersona Another nice liver and white, she is nice shape with good front and rear angulation, correct topline and moved well.

1st Mrs T E Topliss - Sh Ch Beresford Lockdown - A great example of the breed, liver and white dog shown in great coat and condition. Well defined head, correct eye and ears, strong slightly arching neck into well laid shoulders. Deep chest and well sprung ribs, short in loin. Correct tailset, moved with drive and purpose. BOB Lovely to see him go Gundog group 3

2nd Mrs S Frusher - Dexbenella Fenella at Shersona Liver and white bitch, lovely correct head eyes and ears, nice shape and balance, I was later told she had just returned from maternal duties so her lack of coat can be forgiven.

2nd Mrs E Allen-Line Deckham Amber Sunrise 4Yr old B, heavier throughout but nice kind eye, strong neck and deep chest, unsettled on the move.
