Thank you to the committee for the invite to judge, had some lovely dogs to go over today and made even better with lovely sunshine, and not to forget the ice cream and lunch that was top notch. Thank you to my stewards who kept the ring moving and kept everything in order.

Japanese Spitz

Junior (1/2)

1. Sandells, Mr R and Mrs K, Snowshoes Macaroon for Shawmut (Best Puppy), shown in good condition well-muscled, well pigmented lovely head which was well balanced good wedge shape and proportioned muzzle. Very energetic and smooth on the on the move showing good brisk drive.

Post Graduate (2/0)

1. Ferry, Mrs S and Miss J, Ferrybelle’s Take it Easy, (RBOB), Oozes breed type and style and what little cracker on the move, light and active and looked effortless, head of good size and definition and lovely shape and depth to eye. To go over has a good forechest and well-muscled rear.

2. Chester, Miss L, Camylaw Bat Outta Hell, longer in loin then winner and head not quite as defined. Good front on this bitch and a well-muscled body which covered a moderately anguled, to settle a little more on the move.

Open (2/1)

1. Ferry Mrs S & Miss J, Ch Ferrybelle’s Take Cover JW, BOB, loved this bitch a similar type to the (PG) super style on the move showcased true spitz movement and caught my eye, lovely head of excellent proportions and an eye colour and pigmentation that melted me. She is constructed so well which led to that super movement.

2. Chester, Miss L, Tawvale Fubuki at Camylaw, Bigger in type then winner, good head and again well-muscled slight turn out on front pasterns and hocks when on the move.

Lhasa Apso

Junior (1/2)

1. Dungate & Minton Messers D & T, Forochel Anermora (BOB), 13.5 months old, super body of muscle excels on rib. Well placed shoulder and well angulated rear. Good eye of shape and colour. Balanced head that was not overdone. Presented in good coat and condition. On the move looked effortless.

Poodle (Miniature)

Junior (1/4)

1. Walker, Mrs A H, Raeannes Black Velvet, 12 month black dog puppy in super condition with harsh coat, super head on this dog with good refinement and chin, balanced and not over done. Good depth of chest and well placed, square outline on this dog which drew my eye. Plenty of rear angulation, which was shown on the drive, light on foot but worked the space given promising future ahead for this boy no doubt.

Poodle (Standard)

Junior (2/1)

1. Woodward, Mr and Mrs, Kamarri Lookin Smart at Novatell, (RBOB), Compact in body and lovely head decent foreface and chin this then continued into a moderate but not broad back skull. Super eye showing full intelligence and poodle fire. Well angulated and nice tight feet moved with full poodle spirit making good use of the ground and space.

2. Mcloughlin, Mrs K, Zanteswtch Nordic Flame, red of super colour, well-conditioned bitch in coat and body, a well chiselled head with a lovely eye, on the move this girl makes good use of the ring and shows a lovely outline and carriage.

Post Graduate (2/1)

1. Woodward, Mr and Mrs, Kamarri Lookin Smart at Novatell, (see junior)

2. Parker Stokes Miss A, Auroa Moonlight for Ronarker, pleasing eye and well pigmented, would have liked a little more foreface and refinement to back skull. Moved well making but a little close on rear.

Open (4/0)

1. Maloney, Mrs R and Mr M, Vicmar’s Push Ahead, BOB, black bitch and what a dog, lovely head so appealing and balanced and just an eye that had that true poodle look. Super body condition and muscle and excellent angulation. But then when this bitch moved you were captivated excellent carriage and effortless movement full of drive. Presented perfectly was pleased to see her go Group 1.

2. Mcloughlin, Mrs K, Graysorchard Chilli Bean Zantescwtch, Unlikely to meet the winner today, a good, coloured male in super condition and moves so well with power and drive for me his head is a broader than I would prefer but he is full of spirit.

3. Aikman, Mrs M Samarcanda Very Bionda at Makia (IMP ITA).

4. Parker Stokes, Miss A, Willowood Happy Ever After

Tibetan Spaniel

Open (1/0)

1. Hall, Mr and Mrc C, Balgay Kitang Po, Good head that was not heavy, well proportioned with defintey. Strong neck leading to good well laid shoulder, shown in super body condition and well angulated. Quick on the move but free and moved with ease.

Spaniel (American Cocker)

Postgraduate (2/2)

1. Niessen Miss A, Little Life Zimply Champagne (IMP FIN), BOB, well-shaped head going into a nice skill with definitive stop. Deep in rib a fraction long in loin for me, but good rear shown in good coat and well presented, moves well with good reach and drive but would like a little more head carriage.

2. Salvage, Miss T, Unveiledjaclee Ace of Hearts (IMP FRA) (RBOB), Well done to this handler for persevering and giving it everything, good rib on this dog and decent fore chest, a little heavy in the head for me, rear angulation is ok, when settled moves well.
