Judging Report – Richard Grindey (Malricey)

Thank you to the committee for the invite to judge, I had some lovely breeds and pleased to see them place in the group. Thank you to my stewards on the day for keeping the ring moving with ease.

Golden Retriever

Puppy (2 Entries)

1st. Vernon, Graceleigh Hoochie Coochie, Good front and well ribbed bitch, appealing head which is well balanced, with well pigmented features. Neck of good length and had good drive around the ring .

2nd. Copley, Ashbyglen True Colours at Emmabe,7 month old good bone just to strengthen in rear but im sure this will come. Good front will well laid shoulders, moved well with a super symmetry.

Junior (3 Entries)

1st. Brown Louellabrook Love Star, Super body on this bitch, most appealing head which was so well balanced, lovely colour to the eyes and the most gorgeous expression, Good length and muscle to neck, good front will well laid shoulders, strong and muscular rear on the movement she took my eye straight away. RBOB.

2nd. Sanderson, Orlagold Glamour Girl Another super bitch well balanced good head, presented in good coat and body. Moved well in the ring with good drive.

Yearling (7 entried) 3 Abs

2nd Boradhead, Strathlon Spirit of Ecstasy, well muscled with good bone, would like a little more shoulder and angulation on rear to give more drive on the move. Good body lovely balanced head.

Open (6 Entries) 2 abs

1st. Magson, Castlegolden Classy Girl JW, Super 2.5 year old bitch, balanced throughout, super angulation, excels in head and balance and so powerful yet true on the move. Really like her she captured the moment. BOB.

Spaniel (Cocker)

Puppy (2 Entries)

1st, Tomlinson, Milalder Jumpin for Joy, 6 month lovely set shoulders, well put together and angulated, strong compact body, good drive and moved well, very promising.

2nd Stapley, Lynwater Nessarose, larger in stature and heavier in head to 1st. To gain a little more confidence on the table, does present a lovely outline and on the move he really puts his well anglulated rear to show good drive.

Junior (2 Entries)

1st Bayliss, I will be in the morning light (IMP HUN), 15 months, lovely head and such a gorgeous eye with showing so much merriment. Very well balanced, super front and excellent rib and good rear angulation, moved out and caught my eye.

2nd. Tomlinson, Milalder Breeze of Grace, 14 month heavier in head, well muscled throughout, well consutructed throughout and this showed on the move.

Post Graduate (6 Entries) 2 Abs.

2nd. Stapley, Ludzska Royal Saphire, Good front and rub and like the rear angulation and muscle, Nice head of balance and appeal, on the move he went well showcasing is well constructed body and muscle and rear.

2nd Tomlinson, Milalder Lady Madonna, Heavier in head, nice shoulder good muscle throughout, good length to neck which was muscled and set well, moved well.

Open (3 Entries) 1 Abs

1st Norris, Joaldy Mr Happy at Amaranth ShCex, This dog caught my eye, such an appealing outline, pleasing head and eye that has the typlical cocker expression, super rib and neck of good length set in to well in to the shoulders, on the move foot perfect and presented immaculately. BOB.

2nd. Daniels, Heluin Take Applause, Another super dog not qute as settled on the move, but well muscled with good rear angulation, lovely head and paints a lovely picture on the stack. Pleasure to award RBOB.

1.Summers, Ulitimate Black Jacless Knight (IMP FRA), Lovely head good body excels rib I would like a little more neck, holds a lovely top line on the move. Very well presented and handled well. BOB

1st, Gleadsbury Mad About the Boy, Good head and well balanced I would like a little more rib, good fronty and well-conditioned body that goes into a well-muscled rear, lovely on the move. BOB

1st. Greenwood, Coedhelyg Good I Son, 6 month very raw baby that will settle in time, very playful which is lovely to see, good front and rear and when settled has promising movement. Just needs time.

1st Hall, Briztollie Mamma Mia, Very nice head on this bitch, would like more front and a stronger rear, however moved well and was nice to go to over.

Open (3 Entries)

1st Burgess, Redmanhey’s Comte De La Fere, Lovely boy super head skull is very clean cut and lovely shape, this then goes into a well muscled neck, shoulders correct with a super body of good rib and strong level top line that could be seen on the move. Beautiful on the stack. BOB

2nd Gough, Cretshenhan Kitchi Lake (AI), Another good dog with a good head that was balanced and correct, good front and well muscled and conditioned throughout, nice on the move but not quite as settled as winner. RBOB
