I would like to thank the committee of the Thame & Oxfordshire County Canine Society for inviting me to judge Griffon Bruxellois at their Open Show. I would also like to thank my stewards for keeping everything on track in the ring. Finally, many thanks to all the exhibitors for letting me go over their dogs today, and for their sporting attitudes in accepting my decisions.

Puppy: (2,0)

1. Omre’s Admiravel Feeling Bullish. 8-month-old red rough puppy dog with a good head with dark eyes, relatively short, wide muzzle and black nose with wide open nostrils. Small, well-set ears. Good depth of chest. Well bent stifles. Short back with good topline. Moved well with good drive from the rear. A pleasing puppy with balance and style that moved true coming and going. Very attentive to handler. Best Puppy in Breed.

2. Swinge’s Balthazar Shake It Off. 8-month-old red rough bitch puppy - less mature than 1. Lovely feminine head, eye shape and set were good, with dark pigmentation. Carried less substance overall. Sound in movement, with a well-set tail and a good topline. Less coat than 1. Another lovely puppy with lots to like.

1. Meaden’s Delightbull Tad The Man for Topmead. 13-month-old red rough dog of good size and proportions, close to the ideal square outline. Masculine head with rounded skull, well-placed ears, and large, dark eyes. Black nose with open nostrils. Good width of jaw. Firm topline and tail set high and carried well. Compact and cobby with good bone. Moved soundly with purpose and maintained his shape on the move.

2. Swinge’s Balthazar Mr Blu Zkye. 8-month-old red rough puppy dog. Head proportions developing, eyes well-shaped and dark, slightly undershot, black nose. Slightly longer in loin and preferred the overall balance of the winner. Topline a little soft. Good bone and good bend of stifle. Well-set tail. Moved with enthusiasm. Coat texture good and presented well.
