Aberystwyth & District Canine Society

A big thank you to the committee and everyone involved in this show, and also to the lovely exhibitors who allowed me to go over their dogs. A few missing but not too many with some lovely dogs for me to go over.

The welcome, food and general attitude of the show management and committee was second to none, and the stewards brilliant, especially Alex. They are friendly, welcoming and the refreshments really good. Was a bit windy outside but not too bad inside and a brilliant show.

10 months old nice boy, who moved well, has a good head with correct ear set, and lovely oval eye. Well arched neck into well laid shoulders. Good feet and correct angulation. Good temperament and I was pleased to Award him BPIB and see him go puppy group 2 under Group Judge Richard Ravell.

2nd Wolfcastle Mr Luva Luva at Hengilfach (D) Owned By Mr I & Mrs L Bayley

Young 7 month old boy who was a little shy and his ears were flying at times which just pushed him out of top spot. This well balanced boy stood over the ground well had a lovely head with correct oval eye and that typical whippety look. He moved well round the ring and had a lovely temperament on him.

Nice boy with a lot to like but didn’t see his true movement till he settled a little.

14 Months old with a bit of maturing to do but has a lovely correct head and is correctly angulated all round. Super Temerament.

2nd Penwincoed Betty Boop (B) Owned By Ms JM Lloyd

16 month old girl who was a little timid but not overly so, sweet feminie head, oval eye and sweet expression. Well balanced and Moved OK. Think she will settle into herself with time.

Reading the catalogue this boy is the litter Brother to the second in the previous class. Similar shape, well balanced, good head shape and correct oval eye. Well arched neck into well laid shoulders with flat muscle. Moved well to win this class and take RBOB

Well made boy with a lot to like about him, lovely head, eyes and ears, well arched neck into well laid shoulders with flat muscle. Not too wide in front and his elbow directly below his withers. Well angulated behind and stood over the ground. Moved really well to take this class and BOB

Nice girl who has a good head correct oval eye and well arched neck into well laid shoulders, good angulation behind standing over the ground well. Moved well but winner just beat her with overall type and shape.

This sweet little girl still has a bit of maturing to do at just over 6 months, but has a good shaped head with correct eye and ear placement, enough reach of neck, level topline. Good coat, and lovely temperament. Moved OK, BPIB & RBOB. Then went on to take Puppy Group 3 under Judge Richard Ravell

I am sure on another day these two would swap places, but today this boys exuberance meant that no strait lines were seen and very limited showing himself to best advantage which was a shame. He Has a good head with correct ear and eye, good reach of neck into good shoulders. Well angulated and I am sure if he moved properly it may have been good. He is only 8 months old and I am sure he will settle with age. Good coat and again a lovely temperament.

This boy has a lot to like, he is a lovely picture moving and on the stack. Correct conical head from above and slopes gradually all the way to his nose, correct eye and ear set, with good reach of neck into good shoulders. Keel prominent and his ribs extend well back. Sufficient clearance from the floor. Good bone and level back held on the move. Well muscled and good drive on the move. was a very worthy of BOB even though he stood alone. Pleased to see him take Hound Group 2.
