It was an honour to be asked to judge the open show at NASA club weekend. Thank you so much to the exhibitors for exhibiting under me. The overall quality of the entry was good, however there was a few issues with a few lacking lay of shoulder creating a sloping topline. There was also a lot of dogs lacking the leg to body ratio. There was also a lot of poor colours, either lacking the rich strong colours as required, through paling colours or dilute. There was also some excessive white markings outside the limits of the standard. 

JHA 6-11yrs-

1.Freya Harris- handled her charge well. Made complete use of the ring and was very patient with her charge who kept moving legs as Freya was placing them. She remained calm and worked hard with to try get the best of her. Polite handler who said thank you at the end of her pattern work. I look forward to watching her grow and improve with age. May have stood alone but a worthy winner of Best Junior handler in show.

1- Davis & Walsh- Rosschell Maid To Dazzle- Attractive young Black Tri who dog who scores in type and proportions. Power young male with a correctly shaped head and kind expression. Correctly tapering muzzle. Good layback of shoulder to balance his rear which showed on the move. Just showing his age a little as loose in topline but this should tighten up with age. Well handled to get the best from him. BPD

2. Morley- Trijem double Dash of Magic- Another handsome young dog who just needs more time. Theres a lot to like but at present he just lost on maturity to the winner. Correct headshape and stop, almond eyes set obliquely in attractive head. Just needs his chest to drop to tighten up his front on the move.

Junior D

1st- Knott- Zuni Someone U Loved Fallcat- A masculine young blue dog who certainly knows how to enjoy himself. He is a real showman, a beautifully proportioned dog of good length to height. Attractive head with moderate stop and correctly set ears. Good depth of chest. He has well laid shoulders and holding his topline on the move. Clean coming and going. Pleased to award him RBD.

2. Heggie- Talard It wasn’t Me Naf Tad- Masculine Black Dog with an attractive head, moderate stop and kind expression. A lovely moderate bone and coat. Another clean front coming towards just a little looser then the winner in rear.

Novice

1-Stopford- Amberslade Made In Dublin- Black Tri dog, who is well up for size. All male with a good depth of chest and was slightly longer than tall. Well laid shoulders and rear was equally balanced. Held himself well in profile. Clean front and rear.

2- Engel- Bobby Blue Sky hope From Haylofts- Masculine blue dog. Kind head and expression with correct wedge-shaped muzzle. Slightly longer than tall with a strong topline. Clean rear movement just not the front of one.

1st Knott-Zuni Someone U Loved Fallcat

2- Simpson- Lamitone For the Drive At Applecreek- A Moderate black tri dog. Who had a correctly tapering muzzle and obliquely set eyes creating a kind expression. Slightly longer that tall and had a good body to leg ratio. Moderate bone and body. Strong topline and showing good reach and drive.

Limit Dog

1st- Douglas & Heggie- Shadowmoon Dude where’s My Car? Cgca Cgcu Tkn (imp USA)- Black tri dog with a beautiful masculine head, Obliquely set eyes and a moderate stop creating a kind expression. Still needs time to grow up. Exceptional topline and powerful hind action.

2nd Heggie- Winstead Brave New World- Another masculine black tri male who scores in many of the same areas as the winner. Another correct head with a tapering muzzle and moderate stop. Balance hind angulation and clean rear movement.

Open Dog

1st Marucco- Ch America’s Blue Sweetheart Of Moon and Stars- Blue dog who has a smart head with a good tapering muzzle, obliquely set eyes and kind expression. Nice depth of chest, with a good lay back of shoulder. Balanced rear angles meaning he holds himself well on the move. Clean front and rear.

2nd Douglas- Ir Ch Allmark Boom Boom EuJw22-Masculine Black tri dog who is well up for size. Nice length of neck and good depth of chest. Slightly longer than tall with a strong side gait. Balanced rear angulation meaning he moved cleanly behind.

Veteran Dog

1st Fuller- Trijem Single Digit Aw(G)- Black tri dog who scores for being moderate through out. Handsome expression with smart triangle ears and almond shaped eyes. Good length of neck and depth of chest. Good lay back of shoulder which was balanced to his rear angulation. Holding his topline well and not giving his age away.

2. Douglas’- Ir CH Talard Lethal Weapon Ir JCh An CH18- another black boy who was close up to the winner. Correctly proportioned head with a tapering muzzle. Good length of neck and depth of chest. Powerful hind angulation who carried himself well around the ring.

Special Open Dog (Blue)

1st Mackenzie- Northbay Xsell Can’t B’leaf my I’s (imp USA)- This dog struck me instantly for his balance and moderate proportions. He has a masculine, while still moderate, head with a kind expression. Correctly proportioned head with obliquely set eyes and well set ears. He has a good reach of neck leading into clean shoulders. Good depth of chest and a strong topline. He moved cleanly front and rear. I look forward to watching his career. BD and BIS

2. Heggie- Talard Welcome to the Jungle- Kind head and expression with a correctly proportioned head and tapering muzzle. Tidy ears of decent size and strong colour. Good body to leg propotions and slightly longer then tall. Good rear angulation and strong side gait.

Special Open Dog (Black)

1st Zettin- Northbay Xsell Star on the Moon- This handsome young dog was showing his age a little but scored on breed type and proportion. Tidy ears and almond eyes. Nice reach of neck and depth of chest. Good topline and balanced rear angles. Moved clean front and rear. He was a worthy winner although stood alone and was strongly considered in the final line up.

Special Open Dog (Red)

1st Knott- Shaloko’s Come Hellr High water (Imp USA) Another moderate dog with smart ears. Good head proportions with a kind expression. Nicely proportioned dog who was slightly longer then tall and matching body to leg proportions. Good length of neck and good depth of chest. Good layback of shoulders meaning he moved cleanly coming towards. He has a strong topline which is carried even onto the move.

2nd- Wray-Ramsden- Caronlea Celtic Fire starter For Takhisis (AI) BW24 JW OSW (IKC) Stronger red tri dog. Who has obliquely set eyes and a muzzle slightly shorter than his backskull. Decent length of neck leading into a good lay of shoulder and has rear angles to match. He moved clean front and rear. A longer cast dog and I’d prefer more length of leg to complete the picture.

Puppy Bitch

1st Zettin- Harmonia Of Moon and Stars- Blue Merle who scores for her moderate breed type and femininity. She has a clean head of correct proportions and a kind expression. Almond eyes and a correctly tapering muzzle. Good leg to body ratio and slightly longer than tall. Decent reach of neck and good depth of check, clean well laid shoulders. Strong topline and rear angles to balance her front which means she has a very clean and ground covering movement. Very much a baby but shows a lot of promise.

2nd Davis & Walsh- Rosschell Maid To Dream- Black tri bitch who is another promising puppy. She has a kind head and expression created by obliquely set eyes and the correct head proportions. She has a good reach of neck and is balanced front and rear in angles. Just needs to strength up in topline but another promising puppy.

Junior Bitch

1st Krizova- Giennah Taarika Mea Maralakes (imp Cze) Moderate blue merle bitch. Very feminine with a kind expression and almond shaped eyes. She is well proportioned in head and has a tapering muzzle. She has a good length of leg to body and good body to leg ratio. Strong topline and clean side profile movement.

2nd Zettin- Gossip Girl Of Moon and stars- Another blue merle bitch of similar stamp to the winner and many of the same comments apply. Correctly set, almond shaped eyes. Correct proportions of leg to body and she is slightly longer then tall. Powerful side gait just losing her topline a little on the move

Novice Bitch

1st King- Altussi All The Razzmatazz- Feminine Black Tri bitch- Moderate all through with correct bone and all balanced. Correct head piece and kind expression. Well laid shoulders and rear good rear angles to balance meaning she moved clean all ways. Strong topline and good balance and proportions throughout.

2nd Wiley- Trijem Mischief Managed- Black Bi. Another very feminine bitch who excelled in many of the same areas as the winner. She has almond eyes with really nicely set ears of good size and carriage. Good length of neck and depth of chest. Just lost out on front today moving a little wide today. Strong topline and good rear angles. Another well-proportioned bitch.

Post Grad Bitch

1st Harris’ Milwyr Jubilee Concert- Feminine Black tri bitch. Correct head shaped and proportions. She has correctly set ears of a nice size. Almond eyes set obliquely which help to create a kind expression. Good length of neck and decent depth of chest. Clean coming and going. Very balanced throughout so holds herself well on the move.

2nd Woodhouse- Onyxwood Ironside- Another feminine black tri bitch who scores in many of the same areas to one. She also has a kind expression with small ears and correct head shape. She has a good reach of neck and good depth of chest. Well laid shoulders and clean moving towards would just prefer the rear to match the front angles.

Limit Bitch

1st Timperons’ Triforce Fin Raziel- A feminine red merle bitch. Who has a very balanced head of good proportions and balance, almond eyes which created a really kind expression. Good reach of neck and depth of chest. Well laid-back shoulders and strong topline. Clean front and rear and scored for her excellent side gait. RBB

2nd Birkcross Curtain Call- Black tri bitch- Another quality bitch who scored for head proportions and expression. With a correct wedge-shaped head and almond shaped eyes. Good rear angulation and movement and a strong topline.

Open Bitch

1st Davis & Walsh- Rosschell Maid out of the Blu- A Strong blue merle bitch who stood alone but a worthy winner. She is a young bitch who’s head still needs time to develop. Good length of neck leading into clean shoulders which are well laid back. Good rear angles and body proportions meaning she was balanced on the move.

Veteran Bitch

1st Roberts- Ch Magical Love Elvikam JW- Red tri bitch who scores for type and movement. Almond eyes and a correct wedge-shaped head giving her a kind expression. Good reach of neck and well laid-back shoulders. Strong topline and in a good jacket. Correct rear angulation. She was clean on the move front and rear. She is so balanced she has the correct side gait. Not showing her age at all. Pleased to award her BB RBIS and BVIS

2nd. Meads- Silvarcea Fun In The Sun At Kexican. Very feminine Black tri bitch. Correct head shape and kind expression. Holds herself well on the move with a strong topline and good rear angulation.

Special Open bitch (Blue Merle)

1st Woodhouse Bollichep Coloradoblue- Strong bitch who scored in body proportions. She has neat ears which she holds well. A balanced head of good proportions. Decent lay back of shoulder just moving a little wide. Good depth of chest. Good body proportions with being slightly longer than tall.

2nd Douglas’- Winstead Change of Heart For Talard Ir JCh CIB-J (Imp) Another top quality bitch. Correct ears and wedge-shaped head. Good depth of chest and a strong topline held on the move. Good Rear angulation which showed in her clean rear movement going away.

Special Open working Bitch

1st Fullers- Norcis Witches Butter For Inoby Aw(S)- Feminine Black tri bitch. Good wedge-shaped head, with nice sized ears set well, creating a kind expression. She is balanced in front and rear angles. Just a little longer cast then desired. She holds her topline well and moves clean front and rear .
