Thank you to the society for the invitation to judge at this well organised show and to the exhibitors for braving the elements. Unfortunately torrential rain in the afternoon made for difficult showing conditions. Thanks also to my steward Ben for keeping the ring running smoothly.

Hungarian Vizsla

Puppy 1st Gammons Glenbrows Opera D’Arte. 11 month old bitch. Promising youngster. Liked her overall balance and shape. Particularly liked her lean head, plenty of work in it. Strong mucscular neck. Back level, holding topline. Super depth throughout. Just needs a little more confidence on the move. BP

Junior 1st Winkworth & Woodcock Silvestre Fit As A Fiddle. 15 month. Medium size, is balanced all over. Feminine head. Muscular neck leading to well placed shoulders. She has excellent depth with slight tuckup. Pleasing in outline. Moved out well with drive BOB

2nd Gammons Martgarian Zantara. straight front, good depth of chest. Elbows well tucked in, quality bone. Ribs well sprung. Just preferred head of 1

Post Graduate 1st Gammons Glenbrows Reminiscent. Very feminine throughout. 21 months, of good make and shape but tends to bunch herself up when standing, not making the most of herself today. Excellent forechest, ribs are well sprung. Upright in pasterns with straight front. Rounded feet. Moved ok but a little tentative.

Puppy 1st Box Fernstart Hearts Desire. Quality puppy of good make and shape, pleasing in outline. 10 months of age, she has excellent depth and spring of rib for a youngster. Neck moderately long and muscular. Super angulation front and rear. Held her slightly sloping topline on the move. BP & Puppy Group 4

Junior 1st Nicholls Riverbrue Storm. 15 months, racy with bags of breed type. Holds a lovely, feminine outline. Very balanced throughout. Quality bone. Clean over the shoulders and super slightly sloping topline, Hindlegs long from hip to hock. Good extension when moving, with enough drive. RBOB

2nd Box Bardonhill Its Now Or Never For Fernstart Unfortunatly this young lad was surrounded by a class of girls and his mind wasn’t really on the job in hand. Balanced head with attractive expression. Super depth of chest, well sprung rib that was carried well back. Neck moderately long and muscular. Firm in topline, leading to well set tail. Excellent hindquarters, strong over the loin. Erratic on the move which cost him the class.

3rd Poplawska Shelindair Sing To The Rainbow At Cheyennesoul

Open 1st Richardsons Gwendariff Im Fool Proof. Mature, masculine throughout. Excellent outline and shape. 7 years old. Excelled in angulation, front legs well under him and elbows well tucked in. Super spring of rib. Wide and powerful over the loin leading to well angulated rear. Moved out well with positive footfall. BOB

2nd Whites Paduan Sunny Disposition. 8 year old. A moderate bitch who certainly doesn’t show her age. Stands on good legs with straight front, small, neat feet. Certainly enthusiastic on the move and moves with a good stride.

Puppy 1st Davies Arelechen Galileo Figaro. Really very taken with this young lad. Screams quality and breed type. At 10 months of age he obviously has some maturing to do but everything is in the right place. He put on a polished performance for one so young too. Medium size, compact in body. Head clean cut, wedge shaped with well set ears. Strong, muscled neck into well placed shoulders. Deep in chest, well sprung rib. Back short and level. Carries his tail well. Positive jaunty mover. In super coat. Has an exciting future I am sure. BP RBOB. Puppy group 2.

2nd Fincham Danehaven Despreux well coated youngster who carries herself well. Medium size and compact. Reasonable angulation front and rear. Moved ok

Post Graduate 1st Rice Tiamaria Junier Berry. Liked this bitch for overall breed type and balance. Attractive head, well set ear. Deep through the chest, moderate tuck up, strength across the loin. Moved out well with purpose and correct tail carriage.

2nd Windler Coedhelyg Thimbleberry. Just a little smaller all over but still well proportioned and put together. Really well handled by her young owner.

Open 1st Rice Tiamaria Mango Tango. 7 year old bitch who presented a lovely balanced outline when stacked. Attractive wedge head with feminine expression. Stood well on straight front, sloping pasterns. Moved with precision, showing good forward reach and drive. BOB

2nd Fincham Danehaven Macdonalds. Masculine dog and upto size. Well musceled neck into reasonable front angulation, good depth of chest, just a little longer in loin than 1 Good width of second thigh. Moved ok.

Puppy 1st Scutchers Winsleywood Witchcraft. Well put together yellow bitch, typey and clean in outline. Balanced angulation with strong level topline. Moved straight and true. BP

2nd Harris Winsleywood Wilfred. Litter brother to 1. Liked his masculine, board skull, dark eye giving and intelligent expression. Has great depth throughout. Just felt he was a little less co ordinated than his sister on the move today but still a promising puppy.

Junior 1st Winsleywood Wicked. Another smart yellow youngster. Scores in head and expression. Neck clean and strong leading to well placed shoulder. Liked her width of chest and excellent spring of rib. Well turned stifle. Just needing to settle and get into her stride.

Post Graduate 1st Harris Willowrush Iken Indie. Mature yellow bitch who has excellent depth throughout. Strongly made but has good overall balance. Level in topline. Short dense coat, moved out well.

2nd Edwards Howcastle Josephine Of Chelmscote. 4 year old black, difficult to asses when stood as twisting her body to her handler. Strongly built, well sprung rib with level topline. Good quality bone. Just moving slightly close behind today.

Open 1st Harris Winsleywood Wellington JW. Masculine yellow, strongly built. Skull broad. Super, clean muscular neck into well placed shoulders. Ample forechest. Excellent depth of chest and spring of rib. Good width over the loin. Short from hock to heel. Moved with drive covering the ground. BOB

2nd Bambrooks Winsleywood Waghorn At Ravoakar JW. I did prefer the head of this yellow male, it is well proportioned and he has a super soft, intelligent expression. Strong neck flows into well placed front assembly. Again excellent depth throughout and spring of rib. Well angulated rear. Just not the drive and propulsion of the winner. RBOB

Puppy 1st Jennings & Bedding Alibama That’s My Boy. American Cocker. At just 6 months old this buff youngster shows so much promise. Typical well proportioned head with dark eye and pigment. Muscular neck flows smoothly into well laid shoulders. Quality bone. Body short in couplings, with strong, slightly sloping topline which was maintained on the move as he powered round the ring. He has a bright future I’m sure. BP RBAVNSC Puppy Group 1

2nd Wilsons Enryb Tickle Me Purple. Hungarian Wire Haired Vizsla. This youngster was so unlucky to come up against 1. She is full of breed type and quality. One of the nicest heads I’ve seen of the breed, lean and noble. Super bone. Strong hindquarters which she used to advantage on the move, really covering the ground.

3rd Dring You’re My Dream Smeline Svaja (Imp LTU)

Junior 1st MacBain & Brewer Fecimus Repeat The Rumour. Field Spaniel. Another cracking quality youngster. At just 16 months of age she obviously has some maturing to do but I’d expect her to finish well. Full of balance and promise. Such a noble, classy head with feminine expression. Excellent depth of chest, well sprung rib, well proportioned body. Moved straight and true on a good stride.

2nd Jennings & Bedding Alibama She’s A Peach Litter sister to the winner of puppy and many of the comments also apply. Certainly a feminine version. Just a little longer in loin but So positive on the move

Post Graduate 1st Jenkins Tickencote Teach Me Tonight For Gerstenfeld JW. Medium size GWP bitch of good proportions. Gives the impression of power and was certainly fit and well conditioned. Excellent quality bone. Pleasing head and expression. Positive, ground covering movement.

Open 1st Siddons A Foxy Gozer Uut’t Vossebeltseveld (Imp Nld) This Large Munsterlander was a joy to go over. He gives the impression of strength and power. Masculine head, broad in skull, dark eye. Good width of chest, super front assembly. Firm in topline with strength over his wide croup. Well angulated rear which was so well muscled. Super mover with a long, free stride. Absolutely fit for function. Best AVNSC and delighted to give him the group.

2nd Boughton Parkbalk Ariel Dianell Avec Brwystep. Braque D’Auvergne. Medium size. Very good breed type. Clean in outline. Super head proportions. A little short in upper arm and would prefer lower tail carriage.
