Bakewell (Country Festival) Premier Open Dog Show - Sunday 13 July 2025

Many thanks for a quality entry, and to a hard working committee and my steward; at a friendly enjoyable show.

I dutifully considered the hot weather when asking dogs to move and aimed for table dogs to be handled in the shade.

There were the expected absentees probably due to the extreme weather but a light breeze at times kept dogs

comfortable. There were ring changes and some delays and some of the breeds I was a late judge change for, so

thank you to the exhibitors who stayed for groups. I do not have Pastoral Group results confirmed at the moment except for my

BOB Pembroke Corgi.

Shetland Sheepdogs.

PUPPY. (4,1a)

1. Sorockyj's Sheltisha The One And Only. Quality well balanced 6 mths male B/M of silver blue colour, alert expression, arched neck, level topline carried well on the move which was good for a youngster, promising puppy. B.P.

2. Gould's Shazbac Dolly Daydream. Just over 6 mths attractive jet black tri colour bitch, pleasing head pattern, ears used well, moved out well. Another lovely puppy.

JUNIOR. (2,2)

POST GRADUATE. (4,3)

1. Ridehalgh's Royal To Do. Attractive S/W, dark almond eye, ears used well, prefer the topline to sweep into a longer tail, could be a bit tighter in elbow on the move, so lost out on movement in the challenge to those more finished.

OPEN (4,1)

1. Deveson's Milesend Seed Pearl. Shapely 9 year old dark shaded sable, dark eyes, could be a little less rounded, but still a sweet feminine expression, faultless presentation and clean teeth, kept her shape on the move, a credit to her owner. BOB.

2. Sorockyj's Ch. Sheltisha Royal Approval. 3 year old B/M, not of a clear silvery blue throughout, but the rest of her outweighs that, elegance personified, presentation, as with the puppy from this exhibitor, was immaculate, and putting it altogether, resulted in her effortless movement. RBOB.
