Correct feet, silky coat. Correct tail set & carriage. Well marked. A little rangy at present but still developing. Moved steadily.

2. Price’s TORAYLAC IRIS Blenheim girl with feminine head which is still developing. Good eye. Correct size. Longer in loin. Moved well.

2. Price’s TORYLAC COSMOPOLITAN Promising Blenheim boy with lovely head. Correct eye, good muzzle, correct ear placement. Level topline. Correct tail set & carriage. Well angulated either end. A little unsettled on the move.

1. Slack’s WILLOWHEART LOUIS VW I preferred the overall balance of this 9.5 year old boy but he could have been a bit more refined. Correct eye shape. Reasonable angulation either end. Correct tail set & carriage.

2. Blair’s BELLFLOWS GENTLE LITTLE MAN 11.5 year old of correct body shape & size, but lacking neck. Correct eye shape. Good breadth of muzzle. Good tail set & carriage. Moved steadily.

JAPANESE CHIN GRADUATE (4/3)

1. Blair’s BELLFLOWS ICHIKAWA Lovely black & white baby who pushed hard for BOB. Lovely shape & size. Correct proportioned head with good eye showing the required white. Well positioned ears. Correct topline. Correct feet. Good tail set & carriage. Moved freely. A great deal to like about him. BP & Puppy Group 2

2. Blair’s BELLFLOWS JOHNNY BOY Red & White boy, longer in loin than his kennel mate. Pretty head, correct feet, good tail set & carriage. Moved out brightly but not as balanced as class winner, and I preferred head of 1.

1. Maxwell & Chalmers’s YAKEE A STAR IS BORN WITH AINTSHE Gorgeous Pekingese puppy with lovely head of good width. Large dark eyes of correct size. Good nose placement with open nostrils. Correct shape skull with well placed ears. Level lips. Sturdy under profuse well presented puppy coat. Short coupled body with good spring of rib. Correct topline. Correct feet. Tail well set & carried. Classic rolling movement for breed. A great deal to like about him. Group 1, Puppy Group 1 & Reserve Best Puppy In Show.

1. Inch & Inch’s EDALENE SCOOPS AHOY Lovely ETT of correct shape & size. Balanced head with correct shape ears of good size, correct eye & good bite. Correct muzzle proportions. Correct topline and angulation for the breed. Good feet. Well set & carried tail. Moved steadily although not happy with the windy weather.

2. Inch & Inch’s EDALENE COURT AND SPARK JW SHCEX OSW Lovely type ETT of correct shape & size. Although larger than class winner, she has similar attributes. Lovely head, but I would have preferred a darker eye to complete the picture.

2. Slack’s KINVAAR JUMPING JACKFLASH AT EVERSBABES Large CKCS Blenheim boy with correct head & lovely eye. Good muzzle. Correct feet. Well set & carried tail. Moved soundly for age, but a bit longer in loin than ideal.

Broadhurst’s SH CH ROSEHURST ROYAL SUNSET Border Collie

This beautiful dog caught my eye when he came into the ring and did not disappoint. Balanced throughout with lovely head. Correct shape & size body. Correctly carried tail. Excellent well prepared coat of good texture. Correct feet. He was extremely sound with effortless movement, and absolutely true coming and going. I was delighted to award him BIS.

Mcgavigan & Pettigrew’s PETTIGANS VENI VIDI VICI Dachshund (Long-Haired)

Lovely young black & tan girl who pushed hard for BIS. Beautiful well carried head and lovely expression. Well made body, correct feet. Correct angulation either end. Well set & carried tail. Correct coat texture and good feathering. Good feet. Moved well with drive. A lovely bitch who had to give way to the outstanding Border today.

Clayton’s NORTHDRUM HIGHLAND PRINCE Jack Russell Terrier. This young man is full of personality and never stopped showing. Excellent head with correct eye, good bite and well placed ears. Strong neck. Correct shape & size body. Sound & free movement. Good coat texture for age. A great deal to like about him.
