1. Brandenberg & Smith’s Nikara It’s Keats by Taronakits JW. 15 mth old who I have met before and he still appealed today and he certainly shows himself off to advantage. Arched neck of correct length to balance, firm level back, excellent ribbing, muscular loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Quality headpiece with the best of expressions, broad flat skull, thick ears set on just right, dark obliquely placed eyes, the oh so important Samoyed smile and lovely dark pigmentation. Soundly constructed all through, stands true in front on such good feet and a delight to watch when gaiting. Good quality coat. Still to fully mature as you would expect. Reserve Best Dog and Reserve Best in Show.

2. Kosmane’s Rosnorske Royal Qui Gon at Glamyarn. This 12 mth old lad is another who appealed and he presented a lovely balanced outline. Strong, arched neck, firm through the topline, pleasing rib development, muscular loin but with a tad more length and tail set and carried well. 1. Hawkins’ Rosskaja Giorgio Armani. Two quite different dogs competed here with the winner found in this 2 yr old. Pleasing neck, firm in topline although a touch more length of back, well-muscled loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with breadth to skull, almond-shaped eyes but could be a little more oblique, nice dark pigmentation and correct dentition. He is well off for bone and stands on correct shaped feet which are well cushioned with hair. Scored here on the go around. Good coat.

2. Helm’s Annecy’s Mischievious Max. 2 yr old who was blowing his coat on the day. He presents a different outline to the winner being somewhat shorter in back but he was slighter all through than the winner. Nicely arched neck, firm in topline, ribbing carried well back but would like to see more rib development, pretty good loin and tail pleased for set and carriage. Balanced in head with flat skull, ears set on well, expressive eyes, nice dark pigmentation and scissor bite. Stands a little untidy in front and when gaiting winner had the edge.

1. Bee’s Rosskaja Ginjo Pearl for Snowbiscuit. I really liked the first two in this class and they turned out to be 13 mth old littermates. 1. Wilson’s Gwyneira Scarlet Witch JW. Balanced 2 yr old with arched neck of correct length, firm in topline, good length to ribcage, well-muscled loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Feminine head and expression with breadth to skull, nice thick ears, obliquely placed eyes, moderate length to muzzle, characteristic ‘smile’, dark pigmentation and scissor bite. 2. Humphrey’s Rosnorske Royal Lotus. 2 yr old who presented a nicely balanced outline with pleasing neck, firm level back, well sprung ribs, deep brisket, muscular loin and tail set on well. Pleasing head with feminine expression; broad flat skull, ears set on correctly, almond-shaped eyes of good colour, nice dark pigmentation and correct dentition. When gaiting she was accurate when going away but she has a tendency to ‘lift’ her front and this detracted on the go around. Good quality coat.

1. Webb & Bates’ Rosskaja Padme Amidala. This 4 yr old girl presented such a lovely outline with a nicely arched neck of correct length to give balance, she’s firm through the topline, deep in brisket, ribbing well sprung and carried well back, strength to loin and tail good for set and carriage. 2. Moody & Haffenden’s Taronakits It’s Kayanova JW. This 3 yr old was another who very much appealed, excelling in type and as sound as they come. Just felt she wasn’t quite as good in overall outline as the winner, although she has a super neck, is so good in topline, has excellent ribbing, muscular loin and tail pleased for set and carriage. Super head and expression with broad flat skull, the best of eyes and ears, medium length to muzzle, characteristic ‘smile’, dark pigmentation and good dentition. Excellent construction both ends and she moved freely all through with good carriage,.

3. Rojowska’s Maya Just Love Me Zagroda Puchatych Przyjaciok to Arcticuno (Imp Pol)

OB (4,1)

1. Farrington’s Amarige Escada. This 3 yr old pleased for overall type, is well balanced and was good hands on. Nicely arched neck, firm level back, well sprung ribs with good depth to chest, muscular loin and tail set on well. Attractive head and expression; breadth to skull, nice thick ears which are set well apart, obliquely placed almond-shaped eyes, medium length to muzzle and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation and she moved well on the go around and pleased when going away too; front not perfect but nothing untoward.

2. Short’s Silbertips Star Attraction at Zakaytia (AI). 4 yr old who is very different to the winner but she also pleased when going over. Nicely arched neck, correct topline, well sprung ribs, deep brisket, strength to loin and tail of good carriage. 1. Howlett’s Tiksi Snowstorm. 9 yr old who comfortably won this class for me. She presented a nicely balanced outline with muscular arched neck, firm in topline, deep chest, well sprung ribs and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with breadth to skull, thick ears, expressive eyes, nice dark pigmentation and correct dentition. 2. Smaggasgale’s Zakaytia Guardian Angel VW. 10 yr old who carries good bone and pleased for size and showed herself off to advantage. Muscular neck, ribbing carried well back and tail good for both set and carriage. Flat skull of good breadth, ears set on correctly but a fraction larger, expressive eyes of good colour and correct dentition. Although she stands nice and straight in front she could be more positive when coming towards. Firm rear with good turn of stifle. Correct feet for the breed with well cushioned soles. Good quality coat.
