Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society

Many thanks to the Society for the opportunity to judge at this well organised Show. The glorious sunshine was clearly enjoyed, but the heat did prevent me from moving the dogs as much as i would like. All exhibits had wonderful temperaments, and all were clean and well groomed. Thank you to all exhibitors for accepting my placings with good grace.

Big thanks to my Steward for keeping the ring running smoothly.

1ST Roesilbern Fors Fortuna Wright & Kirk, Miss J A & Mr D. 7 month old bitch. Well boned, nicely proportioned, strong in skull with lovely dark eyes. Nice compact body with correct ratio, well ribbed with good chest development. Reaches out well with balanced gait for one so young, I predict a bright future for this young lady, a pleasure to award her BPIB.

1ST High Oaks Still Water Run Deep To Roesilbern (IMP ITA) Wright & Kirk, Miss J A & Mr D. 2 year old bitch. In excellent condition, correct head with strong muzzle. Decent in forechest, good lay of shoulder, Straight back, Correct slightly rounded rump. Lovely gaiting round the ring, showing off her beautiful coat in lovely sheen. A well deserved RBIB.

2nd Oskevabern Hocus Pocus Mrs L Wood. 21 month old bitch. I feel she has more to come, not yet fully mature. Developing a strong head, well ribbed with depth of brisket – more to come here I feel, as with further development of forechest will finish her strongly. Balanced stride when gaiting, nice roll. Overall, a pretty, feminine young lady.

1ST CH/INT CH/R CH/R GCH Objet D’Art Du Hameau De Baika Avec Roesilbern JW (KJW 19) (IMP FRA) Wright & Kirk Miss J A 6.5 year old bitch that caught my eye on entering the ring. She has a beautiful expression on a correct head, dark eye, leading to deep forchest and brisket with excellent lay of shoulder, well bent stifles and strong hocks underneath a firm topline. All this gives her an excellent gait, with just the right amount of roll. A pleasure to have my hands on this bitch. A thoroughly deserved BOB today.

1ST Chantavory’s Harleyquinn Dobson Miss L. 8 month old bitch. Very raw, needs time to mature and develop, which will come. Strong in head, correct dark eye, black mouth, correct dentition. Strong in stop, correct ratio throughout muzzle and skull, a very pretty, appealing bitch. Loose in moment today, needs that maturity to tighten. Excellent tight feet with nice bend of pastern. Very attentive to her handler. Stood alone but a worthy BPIB today for such a baby.

1ST Virlees Infatuation Topham & Maltas Mrs M, Mrs A & Miss D. Almost 2 years old. Dark eye, correct dentition. A medium sized very feminine bitch. Strong rear angulation, which shows on the move. This bitch can power out gaiting and needs a bigger ring to truly appreciate her virtues on the move. Excellent temperament, excited to show herself off today. Well handled. A pleasure to award her BOB.

1ST Chantavory Coco Chanel Dobson & Moss Miss M L & Miss C. Almost 3 years old bitch. Strong, correct ratios in head, correct dentition. Nice to see that correct 9:10 height to length ratio with a good depth of brisket. Gaited evenly, just lacking in power required for that perfect rear drive.Attentive to handler. Stood alone but took a well deserved RBIB.

1ST Expressive Bizu Grande Leonis Jones & Schofield Mrs J & Mrs C L. A dog puppy just turned 6 months old today. Showed so well for youngster at his first show – he took everything in his stride, with confidence. He is developing a strong head with correct proportions. Looking leggy today, but I can see he has good bone, with a deep chest easily reaching elbows. Covers ground well for a young pup, already maintaining a level topline. Stood alone but still deserved to take BPIB – a promising puppy.

1ST Bavaruki Beate’s Ziel Jones Mrs J A. 1 year old bitch who i can see still has much more to come. Her head is yet to mature and shows signs of being a correctly proportioned head with that slight arch to the skull. She has a delightful feminine expression. She has the required broad chest, oval, reaching deep. Ground covered well on gaiting. The makings of a smart bitch, well handled.

CLASS POST GRAD 7/2 ABSENT

1ST Kinglords Miss Selene At Alfross (IMP FIN) Lear-Schofield & Schofield C E & J. 2 year old bitch that caught my eye upon entering ring. This bitch may not quite have the height of other bitches but she has everything else! Very feminine yet strong head, medium stop, neck is strong and flows into her withers. Front and rear angulations correctly proportioned giving her a wonderful free flowing gait, maintaining her topline. Nice rounded and broad rump. Would like to see her gait in a large ring. No hesitation in awarding her BOB today.

2nd Gisabosie Skyblu Egilsay Ansell & McKenzie Miss S & Mr M. 18 month male. This boy is correctly proportioned, with the correct depth of chest for a male, his forechest is well developed too. Yet to fully mature, but is gaiting well with a level topline maintained. Hocks could be stronger but age can change that. Loved his head and expression.

3rd Lendevers Spring Tide Harwood Miss C.

1ST Alfross Tulabo Natsuki Lear-Schofield & Schofield C E & J. 4 year old bitch. Smart, yet retains a lovely feminine expression, so attentive to handler. Has a strong, correct forechest, tight feet, that long slanting upper thigh called for. Gaited well, another I would like to see in a large ring. A well earned RBIB.

2nd Bavaruki Veba Vanilla Wood Mrs L. 5th in PG. A 6.5 year old bitch who was unlucky to be in PG with good company. This girl is aging well, still gaiting round the ring well, with good front extension and good rear drive. She has a strong head, well balanced. Overall, a feminine bitch, and was enjoying her time in the ring today.
