GREENOCK AND DISTRICTKENNEL ASSOCIATION OPEN SHOW 28TH DECEMBER 2025

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge the toy breeds and toy group. Thanks also to my steward, Alison, for keeping the ring running so smoothly and to the exhibitors for the opportunity to appreciate their lovely dogs. I had a really good entry but unfortunately the numbers were somewhat reduced due to an outbreak of kennel cough.

Miniature Pinscher G. (3,1) 1. Allan’s Allanabru Mademoiselle Coco, B. Pretty feminine head with flat skull and nice dark eyes. Strong well-developed muzzle. Square compact body. Moved well.

2. Wilson’s & McSwiggan’s Kilmuir Quarterflash D. A 3-year-old boy who was quite nervous on the table. He has a nice head of correct proportions and well-set ears. Strong neck that fits well into shoulders. Good body. Moved well when settled.

Miniature Pinscher O (3,1) 1. Balanda’s Allanabru Simply Red at Wishsong, D. Well set ears. Good wedged shape head. Nice dark eye. Correct topline with well-set tail. Good depth and spring of ribs. Moved and showed well. BOB

2.Wilson’s Kilmuir Quaint She Ain’t at Nianka B. Looks lovely on table. Has a nice head, good ear set. Correct topline with excellent tail set. Slightly larger than winner.

Pomeranian G (5,5)

Pomeranian O (2,1) 1. Nixons’ Kazpom No Doubt JW, D. Lovely type in beautiful condition. Lovely head with dark eyes, black nose and small ears. Short neck. Level topline. Short back. Excellent tailset. Moved with style. BOB and delighted to award him TG4

Chihuahua L/C G (11,6) 1. Lynchs’ Chirolin Strike at Garnox, D.A promising 11-month-old dog. He has a good outline. Well balanced head. Good spring of rib. Has good carriage and deportment. Good tail set. So sound on the move. BOB

2.Symon’s Jotolemar Time Stands Still with Charabri, B. 22-month-old girl. Nice size. Large dark round eyes. Large ears. Holds a level topline at all times. Not as confident as winner.

Chihuahua L/C O (5,3) 1. Kerr’s Vanilla Sky Leo Valentina of Kircyan (imp) (BA1), B. Very pretty head with round dark eyes. Shoulders well laid. Good spring of rib. Level back. Moved well.

2. Symon’s Jotolemar Time For A change at Charabri, B. Nice head with correct set ears. Lovely presented bitch. Moved okay.

Chihuahua S/C O (4,2) Lynchs’ Arkoschi Rite Here Rite Now at Garnox, D. Nice head with large flaring ears. Correct tail set and carriage. BOB

2. Kerr’s Silverchi Island Dreaming From Rhinns, D. Good overall head. Nicely made dog with well sprung rib. Not as confident as winner.

 Pug O (4,2) Reid’s Rhodenash Kandoo Krunchie Hugieboogie, D.17-month-old fawn boy. Large head with dark nose and eye. Body is short and cobby. Ribs well sprung. Level topline and good tailset. Moved well. BOB

2. Ferguson’s Tartanmops Diamonds N Coal JW, D. A well made 8 year old boy. Nice head and in proportion to body. Good tail set.

Papillion O (5,4) 1. Whitehill’s Northlyte Buffalo Bill, D. Attractive tri. Large well-set feathered ears. Good eye shape. Correct tail set and carriage. Very confident on the move. BOB

2. Blacks’ Amicae Play With Fire, D.A pretty boy. Well presented coat. Nice head, flaring ears with good fringes. Not as confident on the table as winner.

Pekingese 0 (4,3) 1, Maxwell & Chalmers’ Yakee A Star Is Born with Aintshe, D. Well named. Showed very well. Showed very well. Broad head, black mask, round dark eyes. Good body with broad chest and well sprung ribs. Moved well. Presented in immaculate condition. BOB and a well-earned TG3

English Toy Terrier O (3,3) 1. Bennett’s Edalene In A Silent Way to Capledrae JW, D. Lovely profile. High set candle flame ears. Lovely profile. Movement is smooth with drive. BOB

2.Inchs’ Edalene Scoop Ahoy, B. A feminine wedge-shaped head. Candle flame shaped ears that are well set. Dark almond shaped eyes. Moved well showing reach and drive.

Havanese O (3,2) 1. Gunn’s Newtonwood Crazy For Love to Harvahope, D. A good-looking dog of good size. Handsome head. Dark almond eyes and well-set ears. Well-made body. Level back with slight rise over loin. Moved soundly. BOB

2. Russell’s Dyffrynsands Ziggy’s Way to Claravi, B. A beautiful 11-month-old puppy girl. Large dark eyes. Correct dentition. Well made with good shoulder. Abundant lovely soft coat.

AV Toy NSC O (11,5) 1. Flanigan’s &Dornan’s Snowkai’s Snow Storm-Maltese, D. A handsome dog. Cobby and compact. Level topline with correct short back. Liked his head proportions with well-defined stop and dark eyes. Well set carried tail. Moved elegantly round ring. Best AV Toy NSC I had no hesitation in awarding him TG1.

2.Lindsay’s Anjuli Bunny-Japanese Chin, B. An 11-month-old pup handled professionally by her young handler Layla Duncan. Oozes quality. Fairly large head. Moderately broad skull. Small correctly set ears. Square and compactly built. Moved well. Was thrilled to learn she was awarded RBPIS

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel McMurry’s CH Chadwick Perfect Tonight at Merrymoth JW (IMP USA), D A handsome Blenheim boy. Beautiful head. Expressive eyes. A well-constructed body. Good topline. So well balanced and an impressive profile. Moved well. BOB and a well-deserved TG2

AV Toy Minor Puppy (9,5) 1. Hamilton’s & Hogg’s Mariposa Cavalier’s Pico Bello at Hamhoggs (imp pol)- CKCS, D. A beautiful Blenheim boy full of potential. Lovely coat texture and markings. Nice head with a large dark expressive eye. Moved well. Level topline

2.Lindsay’s Anjuli Edgar Allan Paw avec Grovina, D. Another promising young boy. Lots to like. Good body with good spring of rib. Lovely head and expression.

AV Toy Vet (8,3) 1. Russell’s CH Dyffrynsands Destiny’s Day to Claravi, B. A 7-year-old girl. Nice feminine head. Lovely proportions. Good front with well laid shoulders. Moved well with good reach and shoulders.

2. Bennett’s Ch Witchstone Place Your Bets at Capledrae JW SHCEX (OSW), D. Another quality 7-year-old. Nice wedge-shaped head with erect correctly placed ears. Compact and balanced body. Moved well.
