Retriever (Labrador)
Puppy (2,2)
Post Graduate (5,2)
1 Magnavalleys Mimosa (Mr D R & Mrs S J Kennett), Nice to see a good chocolate. This bitch had a feminine, balanced head with kind eye and ears set back. Clean, powerful neck into level topline, leading to her waggily otter tail. Barrel ribcage and good bone to round feet that were well arched. Well let down hock and well muscled all over. Found her to have super angulation both ends and her movement reflected this. Best mover overall. BOB
2 Lembas Brooklyn at Mibridge (Mrs B S Jeffery), Fully grown black boy with masculine head and dark eye. Strong neck, well set on with barrelled ribcage. Good bone and tight feet. Adequate in angulation and correct otter tail. Movement not as secure going away as in profile.
Limit (2,0)
1 Trendlewood Long Time Comin at Pudleigh JW (Mr H J & Mrs I J Evans), Yellow dog who didn’t stop wagging his tail. Attractive head and kind eye. Good bone and very well muscled, in excellent condition. Super parallel mover fore and rear. RBOB
2 Carpenny Padraig (Mrs L A Bond), Black dog with broad masculine head and kindly dark eye. Correct ear and expression. Neat, tight feet. He was longer in body proportions and tended to drop his topline. Happy waggy tail but his movement was a bit erratic today.
Open (5,3)
1 Carpenny Halshimoor Delicious (ai) (Mrs J A Fishlock), Yellow bitch with feminine head, dark pigment and eyes. She has a well set on neck with adequate bone and angulation. Good coat with correct softer undercoat. Moved neatly and parallel but felt she could benefit by going a little bit faster with a bit more power and a more ground covering action.
2 Magnavalleys over The Moon (Mr D R & Mrs S J Kennett), Black boy who looked a picture standing but became a complete livewire when I went to ‘go over’ him. He is masculine with a balanced head and good bone but along with his erratic movement, it was tricky to assess him fully.
Irish Setter
Puppy (2,0)
So difficult to separate these two sisters who were both so ring ready and delightful.
1 Polmennor Pandora (Mrs A R Roberts), Slightly smaller of the two at this stage, but they were very similar. I liked her head with those appealing dark eyes, parallel planes and deep, broad muzzle which matched the length of the oval skull. This one won on her profile movement for me as so often in Setter puppies they just look all over the place and remind me of Bambi, these two were remarkably ‘together’ but this one was smoother and more free flowing in profile today. BP
2 Polmennor Spice of Life (Mrs A R Roberts), so many of the above remarks to this lovely puppy too. Lovely set on of neck and beautiful ears like her sister. But she was just a little un-coordinated with the front legs on the go round.
Special Yearling (2,0)
1 Marzanne Trigger Happy by Thendara JW (Mrs S Pym), Very straight coated boy who was very well muscled and a free parallel mover. His head was attractive with parallel planes, dark eyes and pigment. Strong, muscular neck led to firm topline which sloped gently. Tight elbows and strong ribcage without protruding. RBOB
2 Henaleas Go West at Teignestuary (S M & N W Full), Attractive head to this dog with parallel planes, slight curve to skull, nice dark eye and correct ears. Nice arched feet. Had a true racy look about him but lifted his front legs slightly too much on moving and would prefer him to attain a more free flowing gait.
Post Graduate (4,1)
1 Redclyst Sibelius (Mr D G & Mrs P A Pike), In good coat and feathering with nice angulation. Well set on neck and good ears. Would prefer more defined stop. Well arched feet. Demonstrated parallel movement and was best mover in class in profile.
2 Sheldonite It Takes Two Baby (Mrs J Macdonald), Another in good coat. Loved his strong neck. Head demonstrated parallel planes with eyes of good colour and well placed ears. Nicely arched feet. Front movement a little high.
Limit (2,0)
1 Redclyst Pershing (Miss H, Mr M, Mr D G & Mrs P A Henderson, Szwajkowski & Pike), Very attractive and glamourous type. Attractive head with obvious stop and occiput. Neck well set on. A mature boy who moved very well.
2 Redclyst Head Full of Dreams (Mrs J Macdonald), Masculine head of correct shape with dark eyes and well set ears. Correct dentition. In good coat with good feathering and small arched feet. Neck in to topline looked a picture. Would prefer straighter front legs and more evenness on the move.
Open (2,0)
1 Redclyst Maximus VW (Mrs J Macdonald), Mature and masculine, really looking the part today in full coat with all the feathers. Such a masculine head with the slight curve across the skull showing the occiput and stop with clear parallel planes and square muzzle. Going grey but at 8 years old to be expected and still had dark pigment and in top condition. Long shoulders, outstanding mover in all directions. BOB
2 Redclyst Pasha (Miss H & Mr M Henderson & Szwajkowski), Looks lovely standing in profile, just a little close in hocks, which showed in his rear movement. Good in head and through neck to topline. Lovely coat and overall, a nice dog.
English Setter

1. Bournehouse Sirocco over Marissolo JW ( Osman), Looks a picture standing in profile. Gorgeous head with balanced muzzle and skull. Long, elegant neck. Good ribcage development throughout and well rounded stifle. Good muscle throughout and well conditioned coat. BOB

1ST 539 - Flatcharm Mr Heckles for Benoveor (Mrs V & Miss H & Mrs J Mcilwaine & Mcilwaine & Reynolds) Handled by a very young lady who I discovered was only 7 and she coped beautifully with this very lively puppy. Nice male head with black pigment and dark eye. Good bone for size. In excellent coat and condition. Did manage to freestand 4 square and had a lovely outline with good topline and moved surprisingly well. Best tight feet. BP
2ND 530 - Clandrift Funky Angel (Mrs V Bowen). Very lively girl and less mature at the moment. Nice bone for size, stands with good topline. Would prefer tighter feet. Just needs some time to come in to her own.

1ST 541 - Dymexe My Cherie Amour JW (Mr M R & Mrs D P Moxey), Looked very nice in profile but would prefer a straighter front. She was a happy mover with good turn of stifle and in good coat. Well muscled. Showed her personality.

1ST 538 - Montegrino Pied Piper for Saffdales JW (Mrs R Mccammick), Very pretty bitch with an attractive head. Liked the flow of her neck in to topline, thought she had good bone, spring of rib and nice stifle. She didn’t show the reach I was looking for on her front movement and she was a total livewire and full of energy.

These two boys really looked the part standing in this class, both were lovely movers and I was really splitting hairs here!
1ST 529 - Ch Clandrift Bring Me Sunshine JW Kcwgc Sgwc ShCEx OSW (Mrs V Bowen), Loved his masculine but correct head, thought he had adequate bone for his size. 2ND 537 - Ronevorg Dark Angel at Lussac JW Sgwc ShCEx OSW (Mrs S May), This boy was in profuse coat and had slightly more bone, also good in topline and well muscled. Another lovely head but slightly narrower in front. Enthusiastic throughout. RBOB

1ST 481 - Aurgentious Ros An Gwel (Mrs P & Mr A Winsor-Williams & Williams), Very attentive mid gold bitch who was in between coats which affected the look of her profile so hands on was important here to feel that topline especially. Pretty with kind expression. Cat like feet. Fluid movement with especially nice reach and she did enough to win the class and I did quite fall for her, but she paid the price for that lack of coat.
2ND 463 - Kadaka Kaos at Gillansgold (Mr & Mrs A Hurrell), Darker gold, mature boy. Handsome boy starting to look very distinguished. He was well off for bone with cat like feet. Strong neck in to topline and good ribbing. Well turned stifle, good pasterns and a lovely mover.

2ND 456 - Gillbryan Fairy Cake (Mrs L M & Mrs J Fleming & Scuffle), Very moderate bitch with good topline, tail set and carriage. Very feminine, she moved very fluidly but appeared a little down on pasterns and just needs a bit more zest.
