70th Anniversary Championship Show

Sunday 15th of February 2026

It was both my honour and privilege to be asked to judge this special show. I would like to thank the officers and committee for asking me to judge and for the hospitality and the special effort they had put into making the show look extra special.

My fellow judges did not make my decision for Best In show an easy one. Having selected three stunning quality representatives of their size .

Best in show Ch Montego Am I Kenough For Crystalar.

He is a white male and quality one at that makes an impressive outline when stacked and does not disappoint on going over him so very well put together I liked his size his lovely headpiece and expressive eyes shown and presented in first class order trimmed immaculately When asked to move did which precision grace style and plenty of Reach and drive both in profile and on the up and down it was my pleasure to award him Best In Show.

Res Best In Show to the miniature Ch Michandy Its Showtime at Pupstar JW I have judged this black dog before giving him top honours CC and BOB He is a wonderful ambassador for the size so very well put together everything is where it should be and it’s just a wonderful specimen of the size he’s a lovely head piece and a wicked expression and a wicked twinkle in his eyes. He has an excellent outline when stacked and keeps this on the move. He does move really well but I felt was just a little over exuberant and enthusiastic which cost him the top award

3 stunning Puppies enter the ring to complete the Best Puppy In Show unfortunately something upset the toy poodle and wisely in my opinion the owner decided to withdraw as not to upset him any further. So I was left with the standard and the miniature puppies both in my opinion wonderful specimens and it was only a matter of splitting hairs to separate them. But I was captivated the miniature poodle bitch puppy Vadisma’s Guiding Promise this bitch is just what I am looking for in a miniature bitch I just loved her size and shape she just stands there and demands attention screaming look at me. A joy to go over from the tip of her nose to her tail she has a lovely feminine head and a wicked sparkle in her eyes She moves extremely well with plenty of reach and drive so light and free she just captivated me so hence she was BPIS

RBPIS went to the standard male Afterglow Voltaire there can be no denying that he is another quality standard poodle produced by this kennel I loved his head and expression he has a stunning outline and you know why when you get your hands on him everything is where it should be and your hands just flow over his construction shown and presented in first class order moves precisely with plenty of reach and drive keeping his topline. Unfortunately he had to settle for Res BPIS as the miniature just stole my heart.

Best Veteran I had three quality oldies to judge and all 3 were obviously enjoying their day. I awarded Best Veteran to the black miniature poodle Calmaric One For The Money JW a quality bitch lovely head and eye she is well constructed and in good body condition moves really and at a pace that suits her so you can see how sound she is. Res Veteran went to the silver toy who could almost get lost on the grey floor. Has a lovely head and eye and is very well made and put together moves really well at 11 the oldest of the three . She certainly seemed to be having a good day out.
