My thanks to the exhibitors for entering under me and to my stewards for keeping me on the straight and narrow, on this my second time awarding CCs in Hungarian Vizslas. I had some super dogs to go over, and I had to make some tough decisions, I suspect they will change places over the coming year. I was pleased to hear the class winners greeted with applause.
My main observation was that size is creeping up and there were a number of young dogs who were over standard in height, and I would definitely not have called them medium sized. While some think big is beautiful to me it takes away from the elegance of the Vizsla.
My Dog CC and Best of Breed was the topflight Sh Ch Oakswarren Inferno, taking the Res Dog CC was Sh Ch Highforce All Or Nothing JW SHCEX OSW. My Bitch CC winner was the very exciting youngster Nevedith Golden Reign At Szelfuto JW, and my Res Bitch CC Castledogley Firenze JW. For Best Puppy I selected Debian Dionysus For Ruamadra and for Best Veteran I chose the bitch Oroshaza Lucy Locket. Best Special Beginner was awarded to Roughshoot Red Hot For Redhunt.

Smart youngster, now nine months and progressing in all the right directions. He has good type about him. Head is kind with a good expression, he is excellent in front with a strong neck into well laid shoulders, good depth for his age, and elbows tight to body. Body well-proportioned, ribs springing nicely, topline level and moderately angulated quarters. He moved out well with a good action. Delighted to make him my Best Puppy.
2nd: YEOMANS, Mr Paul Glenbrows Rufus
Upstanding dog , well up for size, balanced angles front and rear. I hope his head doesn’t get any stronger, neck strong, shoulders well laid and enough return of upper arm, needs to drop into his front which he will do as he matures. Well made in body, good through the ribs but a tad long in loin. Moderate rear angulation. Had an even gait on the move.

Heavier set dog than the winner, I hope his head doesn’t go over. Strong through the neck into well laid shoulder, I would like a little more return of upper arm. Good overall balance and proportions, ribs springing well, firm in loin and moderate quarters. Moved out with plenty of enthusiasm, just needs to tighten up which he will do with age.

Young man 10 months and well up for size. Good type of dog, good head piece, good shape and a kind eye, masculine in expression. Well angulated front and rear, shoulders are well laid back. Well made in body. Movement was very puppyish, needs to settle on the move which he will do as he matures.

A smart young man who has a clean outline. His head is well made, good overall shape, kind eye and well-set ears, giving a masculine expression. He has a good reach of neck into well placed shoulders. Stands on well boned legs, tight elbows and good feet. Body of good proportions. Quarters well developed for his age. Moved out well with a clean action, plenty of drive, holding his shape throughout to take the class. Considered him in the challenge, should do well as he matures.
2nd: SENIOR, Miss H & BRETT-WILLIAMS, Mr D & PORFIDO DE Hanalei Suns Out Guns Out For Alaszdale
Another upstanding dog with balanced angles front and rear, head is masculine with a good eye, I wouldn’t want it any stronger. Strong neck in to a well assembled front, stands on well boned legs and the best of feet. Good through the ribs and firm in loin, well developed quarters. Moved positively to take this place.

I liked the outline on this dog; he scored in profile movement today. His head is masculine with good proportions. Neck clean into well set shoulders, good return, stands on well boned legs and good feet. He has breadth in chest; ribs are well sprung and slight tuck up. Well-made quarters which are well-muscled. Drove well from the rear to give a good ground covering action just a shade untidy in elbow as he came towards me. Litter bother to my BCC winner and with a bit of maturity I think will have a bright future ahead of him.
2nd: 4971 CHALLIS, Mr S & CHALLIS, Mrs K M Vizslanya Sarkany JW
Another smart dog of good type, out of a slightly bigger mould than the winner he is balanced with a masculine head piece. Good neck into shoulders, decent lay back. Enough depth to chest and good through the body. Well-made quarters, moderate angulation. Held his topline throughout, moved well in profile to take this place.

1st: WATSON, Mr P Oakswarren Trickster
A smart young dog who presented a balanced picture on the stack. Head is pleasing, well-shaped and with a good eye to give a masculine expression, preferred to the second. Strong neck into a well assembled front, shoulders well set and elbows close. Well made in body, level back, ribs are well sprung and slight tuck up. Well-made rear, moderate angulation. Moved out well with a fluid action, covering the ground. Pushed hard in the challenge but not quite the front action of the open winners today, I am sure his day will come soon.
2nd: MURRAY, Miss C & PARKER, Mr W Szelkiraly's Foolproof JW
Good overall outline on this chap, wouldn’t want him any bigger. His headpiece is masculine; he is strong in neck and shoulders are well set and he stands on good legs. He has depth to chest, ribs are well sprung. Moderately angulated quarters, hocks well let down. He had a decent action on the move, covering the ground well.

A smart dog, very appealing in outline, for me I wouldn’t want there to be any more of him. His head is well proportioned with a dark eye, giving a masculine expression. He appealed as he is correctly angulated front and rear, clean in outline and has balanced proportions. His body is well made, short level back, his ribs are well sprung and a well-muscled croup. Well developed hind quarters, well let down hocks. Moved out well, scored in profile action to take the class.
2nd: DOLMAN, Mrs Jessie & DOLMAN, Miss Jane Zebec Frankel
I really liked this dog for shape and size and he was very close up to the top spot. His head is well developed with good finish, eyes of good colour to give a masculine expression. Strong neck in to well set shoulders, stands on well boned legs and tight feet. Well developed in body, good spring to the ribs, firm in loin and level topline. Good moderately angulated hindquarters. Moved well fore and aft with a good action, just not as fluid in profile as the winner, needs to use his tail a little more and to be a tad more confident.

1st: WATSON, Mr P Sh Ch Oakswarren Inferno – CC
A very smart dog, He is balanced throughout, super in neck into well placed shoulders. He stands on good straight legs and super cat like feet. He has depth to his forechest, ribs that are well sprung and tuck up at the loin. His hind quarters are correctly angulated, and he is well muscled. On the move he is just superb, elegant, and covers the ground with style. A shade proud of his tail but that is nit picking. Handled to perfection, he demanded the class, later the CC and BOB. Thank you for bringing him today.
2nd: BRADLEY, Ms Elaine M Sh Ch Highforce All Or Nothing JW ShCEx OSW – RCC
This chap won the RCC under me last time and was pipped at the post yet again, this time by Inferno. Loved him stood, I found him really typical in head and expression, enhanced by a good eye colour. Strong through the neck into a well assembled front, shoulders well placed, stands on well boned legs and good feet. Held his shape throughout, level in topline, ribs well sprung. Quarters are well developed. Scored in profile movement, just not quite as tidy in front action today, which cost him against the winner. Delighted to award him the RCC.

What a grand old man 11 years old but really enjoying his day out and showed he meant business. I liked his head piece, good shape and proportions, good eye colour and with that refinement that grey brings. Strong neck in to well set shoulders, well made front, depth to chest and standing on well boned legs and rounded, tight feet. Well developed in body, ribs well sprung, good through the body, slight tuck up. Well-made quarters with moderate angulation. Scored in accuracy of movement on the up and down today to take the class. Just lost out to his slightly younger kennel mate for BV. Thank you for bringing him.
2nd: CHALLIS, Mr S & CHALLIS, Mrs K M Highforce Future Legend For Vizslanya JW ShCEx VW
One who has done well under me before, A darker shade of gold. His head is masculine, well defined with ears well set and a kind eye, all giving that typical noble expression. Super front on him with neat elbows. He has depth to his chest, is short coupled, ribs well sprung and a good back end on him. In good hard condition. Just wasn’t moving as well as the winner today and had to give way.

Three-year-old presenting a clean outline, she is a balanced bitch who is made well, her head is feminine with a pretty expression. Neck into shoulders is good, good lay back. Well made in body with good spring to her rib and tuck up, held her level topline throughout. Scored in movement over the second, with a ground covering action. My Best Special Beginner.
2nd: MELVIN, Mrs Helen Facanvadasz Demeter
Two year old bitch, good for overall type, her head is typical, good overall shape and appealing in expression. Strong through the neck, shoulder placement Ok but would like more return of forearm. Good through the ribs and loin, good tuck up, moderately angulated quarters. Plenty of enthusiasm but not as fluid on the move as the winner today.

Nice type of girl, at that growing stage at the moment and needs to balance out, when she does I think she will be very smart. Lovely head piece on her, giving a typical expression, good through the neck into a well assembled front. Good legs and neat feet. Body of good proportions and quarters developing nicely. Good on the move with a decent action.
2nd: SAVAGE, Mrs Rachel & SAVAGE, Mr D Libertia Gingerlicious At Silvestre
When she got herself together presented a lovely shape on the stack, her head is feminine, good overall shape, enhanced by a kind eye. Slightly long in neck at the moment, good front assembly on her, well made through the ribs, a little longer in loin. Super quarters which she used to advantage on the move. Today she was very puppyish in front action which cost her the class.

In this class she had the best outline on the stack and was the most fluid mover. Her head has good shape and definition, and she should finish into a very pretty lady. Neck clean, into a good front, shoulder well set. Standing on good legs and feet. Well-made in body, with good proportions. Quarters developing nicely. Good action on the move.
2nd: WARNER, Mrs Rachel Nordicfield Lady Jaeger
Another promising puppy with a lot to like about her, her head is feminine with a good eye, strong neck. I would like a little more lay back of shoulder. Well made in body, good depth of forechest for her age, good body proportions. Not the best of toplines today. Moved well in profile with a positive action to take this place.

This lady was 14 months old and scored in movement in this class. Well up for size, I found her head very attractive, well defined with a kind eye and a pleasing expression. Good overall construction, neck clean and shoulders are well placed. Good depth of chest for her age, good topline and tuck-up. Quarters are well made. Fluid on the move to take this class.
2nd: 5012 PRIESTLEY, Ms Diane Eltrym Shooting Star
14 months old and pleasing in outline, just tended to lose her shape on the move today. Head is well made with a pleasing expression, good length of neck into well placed shoulders, stands on good well boned legs. Well made in body, good through the ribs and firm in loin. She needs to balance out with her quarters which have a big sweep of stifle at the moment, but this is just the growing stage and when she does she will finish well. She had good footfall on the move.

A very smart young lady, I thought she was very stylish and I just loved her on the move and in outline. She has super balance and a very pleasing overall shape. She has a good head on her, ears well set and a good eye which gave that typical expression. She is good through the neck into well set shoulders, still needs to drop in to her forechest but will do that with age. She has a level topline and is short in loin with a good tuck up. Well-made quarters which were moderately angulated. On the move she comes alive with a graceful, ground covering gait. In the challenge she just got better and better and commanded my attention, today belonged to her and was delighted to award her the Bitch CC, her first. I think she will have a bright future ahead of her.

Pleasing type, stood third in minor puppy. Good overall shape and proportions, I liked her head and expression, feminine and of correct shape. She is developing well and good size and shape for her age. Was giving her handler a hard time today and needs to settle on the move to complete the picture.
2nd: PRIESTLEY, Ms Diane Silvestre Endless Love At Eltrym
Another promising lady but just wouldn’t play the game today. Her head is feminine with a kind expression, good eye and ears set on well. Strong neck in to well laid shoulders, stands on well boned legs and good feet. Good depth of chest for her age, good tight elbows, short back and ribs well sprung. Quarters well developed with a moderate bend of stifle. Needs to settle some on the move and her tail carriage could have been better today.

I really liked this lady for type, so feminine. Presented a super outline on the stack, head is feminine with a good eye and well set on ears, all of which gave a lovely gentle expression. Good through the neck into well-placed shoulders and a good return of forearm. She stands on good legs, enough depth of chest, level topline and a good tuck up. Decent moderately angulated quarters on her. Fluid on the move to take the class.
2nd: CONNOLLY, Mrs P A Roughshoot Tiffin
This is one who got better as the class went on, would like a little less size but overall she is a really typy girl. Good head and expression, neck strong and shoulders well set, good length of forearm. Plenty of depth to her chest, ribs have a decent spring and she has a good topline. Quarters well-made with moderate angulation. As the class went on, she settled more on the move and had a fluid action.

I love this bitch for type, she has done well under me in the past, she was best puppy last time I judged the breed, and it was good to see her here today as the finished article. Gorgeous headpiece on her, strong in neck into a well assembled front. Stands on good legs and tight feet. Shoulders well laid back and a good return of forearm. She has depth to chest and ribs are well sprung, slight tuck up. Quarters are well made, good in topline. On the move she is a sound and economic mover, covering the ground. I was delighted to award her the Bitch RCC, very close up to the top spot.
2nd: CHALLIS, Mr S & CHALLIS, Mrs K M Vizslanya Praxis JW
Another bitch with a lot to like about her, darker coloured than the winner. She has good overall shape and has a pleasing feminine head and a kind expression. She is good through the neck, which is strong and shoulders are well laid, elbows close. Ribs well sprung, back short and level and moderately angled quarters. Moved out well with a decent action, but not the drive or verve of the winner.

This lady is seven years old but not showing that at all, she got better as the class went on. Her head piece is good, just showing her age a little. Strong in neck, good front assembly. Stands on good legs and feet. Enough depth to chest, Ribs well sprung, depth to chest. Hindquarters well-made. She pushed the principle winners all the way in the challenge and was very close up for the RCC, just not quite as tidy on the move as the limit winner. A quality bitch through and through. Today my Best Veteran.
2nd: HARPER, Mr J P & HARPER, MRS E J Sh Ch Pitswarren Jiko JW
A well-made bitch who scores in outline and balance, out of a bigger mould but still very smart. On my first walk round, I thought she would be my winner, but she wasn’t as settled in front action today. Pleasing head and expression, width in skull enhanced by a lovely oval eye and of good colour. Strong through the neck into a good front assembly, plenty of depth to her chest and a good tuck up. Well angulated rear with low set hocks. Held her shape well on the move. Really top class lady.

Another good one here, now ten years old and still has all those positive virtues. Lovely headpiece which is enhanced by that little bit of grey. Super front on her, well developed in forechest, ribs well sprung, firm in loin and quarters well made. Moved out well with an elegant action. Not quite the verve of the open bitch winner on the run round in the veteran challenge so had to give way, but a cracking bitch that has lasted.
2nd: MURRAY, Miss C & PARKER, Mr W Menta Of Skyrocket At Szelkiraly (Imp)
Another lovely lady enjoying her day out, eight years old and has all the essentials in the right place. She has lovely headpiece, which was enhanced by a little grey giving a pleasing expression. Strong through the neck, not quite as good as the winner in front, stands on good legs and feet. Well made in body chest has breadth and ribs well spring and moderately angulated hindquarters. Moved out well, just not as fluid as the winner today.
