My first time awarding CC’s in Braccos and really enjoyed myself. My thanks to my super stewards for keeping me in order and to time. I was thrilled to see both my BOB and BP shortlisted in their respective groups. My DCC and BOB was the fabulous young dog Sh Ch Piccorino Pheasant Plucker (J Rose). My RDCC was the winner of limit dog in Elfrindew Yankee Doodle (Mrs M & Mrs A Dodd & Struthers-Lake). My BCC was Braccorion’s Piccorino Pick Me (Miss E Towns) who I thought was fabulous, My RBCC and BP was the very exciting youngster Callaiscroft Aurora Star at Hopewood (Mrs L Westwood). Winning Best Veteran was the evergreen Sh Ch Braccorions Never Say Never JW (Mrs M Critchley).

Veteran Dog

1st Braccorion Quick Look of Callaiscroft (Miss E J Longman)

Smart boy of 7 years, retaining a good outline and shape. Excellent head with good proportions, lovely expression and well placed ears. Strong neck into good shoulders, good well boned legs and feet, would like him a little tighter in elbow. Well made in body with a deep chest and well sprung ribs. Good topline and strong hindquarters. Moved well for age with good drive and remained very sound, not quite the enthusiasm of the bitch in the runoff for best veteran.

Puppy Dog

1st Quirinale Dell'oltresavio NAF TAF (Miss E & Miss L Towns & Coghlan)

What a grand little chap this one is, just six months but a very promising young dog with an excellent head and lovely noble expression for his age. Good ear set and length of leather. Strong neck into well laid shoulders, good oval bone and straight forelegs. Good forechest and depth of chest with well sprung ribs and a short, strong loin. Good hindquarters and feet. Moved well but needs to find his feet to complete the picture, I look forward to seeing how he develops.

2nd Callaiscroft Rodeo Star (Miss C Szulzycka)

Good quality puppy with a pleasing head and expression. Strong neck into well set shoulders, good bone, straight forelegs and pleasing feet. Good body proportions, decent depth of chest for his age and a decent spring of rib. Hindquarters developing well. Moved soundly.

Junior Dog

1st Bracchini's Absolute Drama (Miss L J Coghlan)

Smart young dog with a lovely head, good proportions and excellent breed expression. Strong neck into well laid shoulders, good oval bone and straight front. Good chest and spring of rib, with a strong topline and short muscular loin. Good hindquarters and feet. Moved very well with reach and powerful drive good action in profile and out and back.

Graduate Dog

1st Bracciano Never Too Late (Mr T & Mrs F Doyle)

A good overall outline and pleasing breed character. Good head with lean cheeks, kind expression. Strong neck into good shoulders, sound forehand with good oval bone. Good depth and breadth of chest, well sprung ribs and strong loin. Needs to fill his frame. Moved well with good drive would like him a bit tidier in front action

 Limit Dog

1st Elfrindew Yankee Doodle (Mrs M & Mrs A Dodd & Struthers-Lake)

This dog won a puppy stakes under me up in Scotland last year, I liked him then and I still think he is very smart, pleased to see he is developing in the right direction. Quality dog with a very pleasing balanced outline. Strong, noble head with good proportions, lovely expression and good ear set. Powerful neck into well laid shoulders, excellent forehand and good oval bone. Broad, deep chest with good forechest and well sprung ribs. Strong topline and short muscular loin, with excellent hindquarters. Good feet. Moved with purpose, had a real elastic gait about him and scored in that respect over the second. In the challenge I thought he lifted his game and was able to award him the RCC, I will follow his career with interest.

2nd Callaiscroft Esprit De Vie for Amicofedele JW (Miss K & Miss G C & Mr J & Mr D Holdstock & Markin & Fretwell & Bramley)

Upstanding dog, another quality boy with a good head and pleasing masculine expression. Good strong neck into a good shoulder placement. Excellent bone, with good straight forelegs and feet. Well-made body with good depth of chest, spring of rib and strong loin. Just needs to fill his frame to complete the picture. Good finish to the croup and hindquarters. Moved well with good reach and drive, not quite as tidy as the winner in front action today.
