DOGS.
Thank you to the Committee of our breeds Parent Club and to the membership for affording me the privilege and the honour of judging at this Championship Show, and to the exhibitors for such a lovely entry. My thanks also to Maureen who was in the role of Acting Secretary and she made sure I was well cared for, and to my two stewards Melanie and Jane for keeping the ring in good order. My observations from the day is that tails, feet and pasterns still require attention.
Vet.1. Philo's Fydal Caprio At Salmonmist JW Sh CM OSW ShCExVW SGWC , - oh my word what a title, congratulations on such an achievement, at 9years of age he belies his years, a well balanced O/W with a lovely head eye and expression, fine ears, good bone and feet, deep chest, well sprung ribs, moved very well keeping his topline, good tail and carriage.
MDP 1 Saunders & Newton's Teisgol Snow Prince Charmin - a promising puppy O/W lovely head, neck and shoulder placement, nice front, chest, sprung ribs, needs time to learn to relax his topline which sadly he was arching when stacked but this will come. More practice required when moving, again with time this will improve.
PD 9 (1abs) A really lovely class of puppies headed by
1. Bond’s Pharises Drake, - oh my what a puppy, he really takes the eye on entering the ring, so balanced, no exaggerations, he has a most lovely head, correct muzzle, dark eye, kind expression, reachy neck which flows into fine well laid back shoulders, good front, tight arched toes, correct pasterns and oval bone, well sprung ribs, well muscled hindquarters, flowing topline ending with correct set on of tail. He moves so well keeping his topline and lovely tail carriage. for top honours, there is no doubt he is destined for a very bright future. BPIS on agreement with my Co-Judge.
2. Senior’s Riowood Cherry Bomb Over Alaszdale, - another quality O/W, has a lovely head, good neck and shoulder placement, flowing topline, well turned stifle and second thigh, deep chest, , correct tail set-on. I really liked this youngster but he just wasn’t happy and lacked confidence, I hope this was a one -off as I feel he and his owner could enjoy a lot of fun in the future.
3. Mason’s Freebreeze Noel Coward.
JD 7 (1 abs)
1. Gerrard,Bell & Galloway’s Chesterhope Agent Orange At Carmandine JW (Imp NZL) - this upstanding O/W youngster took command and filled my eye with his balance, his topline and the most beautiful chiselled head, dark eye and such melting expression, his muscular neck flows into well laid back shoulder, well sprung ribs, good fore and hind angulation together with his well muscled quarters enabled him to move effortlessly round the ring with such lovely reach and drive. Well handled as he has such exuberance when on the move, however his handler did very well to harness this in the challenge and it gave me great pleasure to award him his first CC and ultimately BIS awarded by the Ref.
2. Martin’s Sunhouse Quintessential JW, - eyecatching B/W unlucky to meet the one above, has a beautiful head, eye and expression, reachy neck, lovely fine well laid shoulder placement, deep chest, well sprung ribs, muscular hindquarters , flowing topline, used his tail on the move, shown in sparkling condition and well handled.
3. Oliver’s Wilchrimane Florin To Olivesong - completed a trio of lovely youngsters.
YD 4 (D 1 abs)
1. Scotland’s Daledancer Victor McDade,- quality O/W, a promising O/W who is maturing slowly, has a nice balanced head, kind expression, lovely front, tight feet, depth of chest, short coupled, curvy topline, correct tail set, is balanced throughout, moved well with reach and drive. Well handled.
2. Booth & Oddy’s Lundgarth Fly The Flag JW - another nice O/W, stronger in head than one above, he is balanced throughout, good legs and feet, deep chest, well muscled hindquarters, moved with drive and used his tail.
3. Rayner, Spinks & Pringle’s Collholme Mister Brown With Spinray.
MD 6.
1. Bond & Rawlinson’s Pharises Fifty Cents - quality O/W who I see is litter brother to the BPIS although not just as mature, has a lovely eye and expression, is balanced without any exaggerations, good front, legs and feet, topline, well muscled hindquarters, moved well covering the ground with good tail action.
2. Dunn’s Casdellda Deepest Blues, - B/W strongly made youngster with a nice head and eye, muscular neck, has depth of chest, good width of stifle and well muscled ,has width of second thigh, not an easy boy to handle but did settle enough for me to see his good reach and drive, gave his handler a hard time but she did well in taking control.
3. Freebreeze Noel Coward.
ND 7.
1. Freebreeze Noel Coward - quality O/W puppy, has lots to like about him, lovely balanced head with dark eye and soft expression, has all the essentials but at this stage just lacks body and condition, but he moved well, as he matures I feel sure he will always be thereabouts.
2. Saunders & Newton’s Corotine Velvet Tuxedo - typey B/W, lovely balanced headed boy, kind eye and expression, nice straight front and feet, slightly sloping pasterns, short coupled, would like a little more second thigh and would prefer a better tail carriage, nicely handled.
3. Irshad’s Droveborough Super Trooper.
GD 7
1. Walton’s Meadowpoint Jack O’Lantern At Pointmoor, - O/W, liked his overall balance, good head, neck and shoulder, good front and hind angulation, nice topline and tail set, movement sufficient to win this class, nicely handled
2. Angus & O’Neil’s Tenshilling Catch The Wind,- very nice headed O/W with a dark kind eye, flowing lines, good angulation front and hind, nicely let down behind, nicely handled.

MLD 5
1. Bush’s Plasharn Rocka Rolla - B/W I have judged before and really like him, so well put together, balanced from his lovely head ( together with his wide nostrils) to his muscular hindquarters, short coupled, , he moves as a Pointer should with reach and drive, was disappointed that today he lacked body but deserved his place, won on his movement.
2. O’Neill’s Tenshilling Shboom JW, - B/W of heavier build to one above, good headed boy with good neck and shoulder placement, deep chest, good spring of rib, short coupled, well handled.
3. Ram’s Jilony Brown Velvet
LD 12 (2Abs) - A difficult class some lovely exhibits stacked were let down on poor movement.
1. Martin’s Sunhouse I’ll Be Black - top drawer B/W with the most beautiful head (typical to this kennel) kind gentle expressive eyes, wide nostrils, good front, legs and feet, strong neck leading into well placed shoulder and flowing topline to his correct set on of tail, good spring of rib, deep chest, well turned stifle and fore angulation together with his muscular hindquarters, he moved with reach and drive with lovely tail carriage and action, I had him as a strong contender for top honours, but unfortunately on the stack he fought his handler and just would not give his best, so disappointing, I do hope in the future that he is more responsive as I truly feel he deserves so much more.
2. Stilgoe & Fox’s Teisgol Sweet William JW JCH, - sweet headed O/W, clean neck and shoulder, flowing topline, balanced, short coupled, positive rear movement, to be critical would prefer a little better tail carriage.
3. Eldridge & Gee Bradgate Yours Truly

Carofel Wings Of Hope JW WW23 SWISS JCH - O/W of quality and substance, sound honest dog, well balanced, has a lovely head and eye, strong neck, good shoulder placement, has depth, good bone and feet, keeps his topline on the move well deserving of his title, moved with drive and purpose from his well muscled hindquarters, I had pleasure in awarding him RDCC.
2. Stilgoe & Fox’s Sh.Ch. Teisgol Keep On Going Via Penwest, - Lemon/W one of my favourites who was so unlucky to come up against the above who won the class on his movement, this boy has such a lovely head, whose eyes have such kind expression , he again is well balanced having all the attributes and sound movement.
3. Gordon’s Davigdor Flanders Field.
