German Spitz Club of Great Britain Championship Show 5th of July 2026 German Spitz (Kleins) Thank you to the committee for the invitation to award CC in Klein's. There was varied type and quality on the day but I was more than pleased with my main winners. I found that a few had ‘Pommy’ heads and some upright in shoulder with a couple of iffy mouths. Others, whilst appealed when stood, fell apart on the move and with hands on it was evident that these dogs needed better body conditioning, carrying excess weight and lacking muscle tone. BP D/B (4,1abs) 1st) Allison’s Nosregor Full Of Dreams by Oberitz - Black male showing plenty of promise. Presents a pleasing outline, wedge head with oval eye and ears well set. Well laid shoulders, straight front, catlike feet and well boned. Good length of body leading onto well angulated hindquarters. He’s very together on the move for one so young, straight coming and going with good side action. Best Baby Puppy. 2nd) Bagshaw’s Bagshire Freddy Flinstone - A little apprehensive today but taking it all in with plenty of time on his side to gain confidence. Wedge head with excellent eye shape. Triangular ears which are high set. Neck of good length, not quite the layback of shoulder as 1st, straight front and the neatest of feet with enough bone. Developing well throughout the body and short coupled. Moderately angulated hindquarters. When he settled he moved well. 3rd) Allison’s Oberitz Artemis VD (3,0) 1st) Chambers’s Ch Musique Born Legacy - 7 year old who I have previously awarded a CC & BOB to, he’s all male. Wedge head, oval eye and small, triangular ears which are well set. Clean neck of good length, leading onto well laid shoulders, well boned, straight legs with good feet. Good length of body, well ribbed up and short loin. Moderately angulated hindquarters. Well set tail and excellent topline. In excellent coat and condition, and so well muscled. His movement is what gave him the nod here today, straight coming and going with brisk side action. RCC, RBOB & BVIB. I later found out his was grandsire to my CC & BOB. Pleased to see him go RBIS & BVIS. 2nd) Jackson & Minshall’s Ch Perrymere Just Bertie JW - 8 year old and another who is a credit to his owner who gave 1st a fair tussle. Smaller all through than 1 but still masculine. Wedge head, moderate stop, oval eyes which are well set. The best of ears which are small and well set and he uses to advantage. Well laid shoulders, straight front, excellent bone and the best of feet, neat and catlike. Well ribbed up, short loin and moderately angulated hindquarters. He excelled in side profile on the move, brisk and effortless but today wasn’t quite as precise as 1st coming and going. 3rd) Allison’s Oberitz Happy As Larry PD (0) JD (1,0) 1st) Hill’s Xanto Z Temnych Noci (IMP CZE) Orange, 16m who was full of mischief. Wedge shaped head but would prefer a flatter skull and more length of his muzzle. Oval eye of good colour. Small, triangular ears which are high set. Neck of good length, ok front with good bone and catlike feet. Square outline and shown in excellent coat of good texture and the best of pigmentation. He was rather difficult to assess on the move today, with legs going everywhere other than where they should’ve been but he certainly enjoyed his time in the ring. GD (0) PGD (1,0) 1st) Bagshaw’s Shiva’s Step To Kingdom (IMP BGR) - Black and Tan with a pleasing outline. My notes say he’s a cheeky chap and he certainly made me smile with his fabulous personality. Wedge shape head, moderate stop, medium oval eye which is well set. Clean neck of good length leading onto well laid shoulders. Straight front, well boned and neat catlike feet. Well ribbed up, short loin and well angulated rear quarters. Excellent topline and tailset. Straight coming and going with a brisk side action. LD (4,0) 1st) Andrew’s Claran Edge Of Glory - I liked this black as soon as he entered the ring and he did not disappoint. He won the class with some to spare. Presents the most pleasing, square outline with nothing overdone about him and I was pleased that hands on confirmed what I had first thought. For me he had the best head of the day, wedge shaped almost flat skull. Moderate stop and oval, obliquely set eyes. Small triangular ears which are high set and he uses them to advantage. Neck of good length, leading onto the best of shoulders with a straight front and ample bone, standing on neat catlike feet. Well ribbed up, short well developed loin and good length of leg. Moderately angulated hindquarters and hocks well let down. High set tail and level topline. He showed his excellent confirmation in his super movement, Straight coming and going with brisk side action. Pleased to award him the CC & BOB which was his 3rd. Congratulations on your well deserved champion. Pleased to see him take BIS. 2nd) Lampen & Wilson’s Rosco’s Hurricane - Cream who unfortunately really lacked enthusiasm today and didn't show himself to advantage, his handler worked incredibly hard with him but he just had no interest. Masculine head which is wedge shaped. Oval, well set eye. Small triangular ears but I would prefer them higher set. Neck of good length with well laid shoulders, good bone and neat feet. Well made through the body with good ribbing and short loin. Moderately angulated quarters. He moved straight, coming and going. Shown in excellent coat and condition. He’s a promising dog and hopefully on another day his mind will be on the game. OD (1,0) 1st) Moore’s - Dream Team Stars Irresistibly Black (IMP BGR) - Black who was giving his handler a hard time on the move today. Oval eye and ears of good shape which are high set. Straight front, ample bone and good feet. Well ribbed up and good length of loin. Would prefer slightly less angulation in the rear. Level topline and well set tail. He insisted on pacing today and really made his handler work with him. There were snippets when his handler managed to stop him pacing where he moved well. ChD (1,0) 1st) Chambers’s Ch Musique Born Legacy VB (3,0) 1st) Cheyney-Wiles’s Fecimus The Good Fairy - 10 year old sable, whose construction and movement I could not fault. Feminine wedge shaped head of good proportions, oval eye and triangular high set ears which she used to advantage. Presents the most pleasing outline, nothing exaggerated. Clean neck of good length leading onto the best of shoulders, well laid back with correct return of upper arm. Straight front, ample bone and neat, catlike feet. Well ribbed up, short loin and the best of hindquarters, moderate throughout. Level topline and excellent tailset. In the fantastic body and muscle. Her first class construction allowed her to move as well as she did. Straight coming and going, with a brisk effortless sidegate. I could not deny her the CC today. It’s a crime she does not have her title. CC & BOS. 2nd) Slack’s Ch Fecimus One Of Us - Close up to 1st and I later found out it was her daughter. Very pretty, feminine bitch. Wedge shape head, oval eye which is well set. Well set ears, although I would prefer them slightly smaller. Neck of good length, well laid shoulder and return of upper arm. Straight front, well boned and stood on catlike feet. Good ribbing and short loin. Well angulated hindquarters. Level topline and well set tail. Turned out to perfection, in excellent coat and condition. Not quite the rear movement of 1st, straight coming and excellent side gate. RCC 3rd) Allison’s Oberitz Out Of The Shadows PB (2,0) 1st) Lampen & Wilson’s Kismet Top Tier Diva is Rosco - an absolutely delightful 7 month old with oodles of confidence. Beautiful head, wedge shape of good proportions. Oval eye, obliquely set and excellent pigment. Small, triangular ears which are high set. Clean neck, well laid shoulders with a straight front, plenty of bone and good feet. Developing nicely through the body, with a level topline and well set tail. Moderately angulated hindquarters. Super mover for one so young, straight coming and going with good side action. Unfortunately had to withdraw from the challenge after being stung in the mouth by a wasp. It was good to see her later back to her normal self. One to watch. 2nd) Andrew’s Claran Enchanted - a real baby, with plenty of time on her side. Totally feminine throughout. Wedge head, oval eye and ears well shaped and set but reluctant to use them today. Neck clean and of good length, well angulated front and hindquarters. Straight front with just the right amount of bone to match her sie. Catlike feet. Good length to height ratio. Level topline and well set tail. Needs to body up but has plenty of time for that. Clean mover with good side action. JB (1,0) 1st) Ferry, Ferry, Pearce & Francis’s Longsdale’s Get Together - Slightly unsure today. Feminine, wedge shaped head with a good eye. Triangular ears which are well set although she was a little reluctant to use them. Good length of neck, well laid shoulder and well boned straight legs. Catlike feet. Well ribbed up, loin of good length but a little on the heavier side in weight today which was affecting her movement. Moderate hindquarters. Level topline and tailset, moved ok but needs to tighten up all over. GB (1,0) 1st) Green’s Fecimus It’s Coming Home at Grovevalley - Nearly 2 yr old petite and ultra feminine throughout. Wedge shape head, excellent eye shape and set, the neatest, triangular ears which are well set. Ok front, plenty of bone for her size and standing on neat catlike feet. Good body, short loin and well angulated hindquarters. Moved well, particularly in side action. Ok topline and well set tail. PGB (1,0) 1st) Beck’s Rosco Breeze - Presents a square, balanced outline. A little strong in head for me but is wedge shaped, oval eye with triangular ears which could be higher set. Neck of good length, leading onto well laid shoulders. Well boned, straight front with need feet. Well ribbed up, short loin with good hindquarters. Excellent topline and tailset. In good condition. Moved well. LB (2,0) 1st) Ferry & Ferry’s Longsdale’s Eternal Flame with Ferrybelle - Totally out of coat but you can appreciate her make and shape. Feminine wedge shaped head, oval well set high, would prefer her ears smaller but they are well shaped, set and she uses them to advantage. Clean neck, leading on to good layback of shoulder. Ample bone and catlike feet. Short loin and well angulated hindquarters, would benefit from a little more body and muscle tone. Moved well. 2nd) Cheyney-Wiles’s Melitabe Lyra avec Fecimus - Petite sable, she doesn't quite have the head qualities of 1st and is slightly bold in eye. Small, triangular ears which could be higher set. Neck of good length, well laid shoulders, ample bone for her size with a straight front and neat feet. Moderate, well muscled hindquarters. Level topline and well set tail. Moved soundly with brisk side action. In excellent coat and condition. Unfortunately she didn't really want to show today but her handler worked hard with her. OB (1,0) 1st) Cheyney-Wiles’s Fecimus Having A Giraffe - Black and Tan who has a huge coat and where hands on it definitely needed. She has the best of heads, wedge shaped and of good proportions. Super eye, oval and well set. Ears of good shape, size and high set. Clean neck of correct length, well laid shoulder, straight front with plenty of bone. Catlike feet. She’s a little longer cast than my ideal. Well angulated rear. A little close coming and going but excellent side action. Bethan Williams (Trebettyn)
