Clumber Spaniel Club

Grateful thanks to the club for the invitation to judge the special classes today and for the lovely gifts commemorating my appointment.

I was delighted with my entry of 22 with just 2 absent on the day so thank you to all who entered. Very pleased to hear that under the main show judge David Howarth, my JD/B class winner went on to take the BCC, BIS and BPIS with my OD/B winner taking the RDCC, congratulations to both of you!

JD/B (6) 1 Vanitonia Society Girl 11mth b who possesses the most beautiful head and eye and using her ears really enhanced her expression, already well developed in the fore and standing true on straight well boned forelegs and good sized round feet, I liked her body shape and overall balance and on the move she is sound and accurate and very together for her age holding her topline as she goes. 2 Vanitonia Spectre Of Whitbraith brother of my winner and also much to like. He has won under me before and today I could see just how much he has matured. Well off for bone and substance but without being too heavy, handsome head with clean amber eyes, strong neck and well placed shoulders, body is well ribbed and he has a strong topline to broad well developed hindquarters and strong hocks, presented in abundant coat and featherings, I think more could be made of his shape on the stack as he tends to stand a little 10:2 but on the move he really comes into his own going effortlessly around the ring 3 Bona Fama Kaprys Rejenta At Benginger (Imp Pol) PG (4,1) 1 Elskerwoo Silver Lining I liked the overall shape of this 2 yr b and whilst not the heaviest for bone, she has ample for her size and sex with a super temperament making her the happiest of movers, she has an attractive head with enough strength, moderate length of neck into a good lay of shoulders, pleasing length of body with ribs that extend well back and a firm topline, makes the most of herself on the move looking particularly good in profile although could still tighten a little in front. 2 Suelynda Dream Dreamer To Jahangir, there is no denying the sex of this lad and on another day he could have won this class, he has excellent bone and substance and a good square head on a strong neck, a well ribbed body with a good depth of chest and ample hind angulation, he is very sound on the move but I would have liked a bit more animation and drive 3 Maursett Menelaus O (12,1) 1 SH CH Suelynda Let Me Be The One JW I very much appreciated the free, accurate and effortless movement this dog showed as he went around the ring , he is a well boned and strong with a large square head and clean eye although I would have liked just a fraction less lip, he is well angulated fore and aft with a good length of body, well sprung ribs, strong level topline and well developed hindquarters with good muscletone, overall a top quality dog and I wasnt surprised to see he is already titled 2 Wahnahnish Saint Gilles JW (Imp Ned) 2.5 yr d with a super square head and well shaped amber eyes and presenting a clean and balanced outline, excellent front and feet, strong body of good length with well sprung ribs and muscular hindquarters, a powerful and easy mover 3 Creeaark Austin Healey From Chabrouille SHC.Ex
