Retriever (Golden)

340. Retriever (Golden) - Minor Puppy Bitch

Entries: 9 Absentees: 2

1ST 900 - Glenleddon Gentle Breeze (Dr C A & Dr S A Brown)

1/ This quality puppy was the more balanced overall for me in a very nice

class of youngsters. Loved her proportions, with deep chest and a good length

of leg. Lovely front assembly, layback of shoulder and well set on neck. Well

angulated hindquarters, with well-placed, strong hocks. Level topline, good

pigmentation and the loveliest of heads for overall shape and expression. She

can pull it together nicely when she moves, which she did in the challenge for

BPIB, blossoming with every step. Congratulations for the steady progress in

performance, which followed through into the group, where she was

shortlisted in excellent company.
BPIB on referee’s decision.

2ND 1061 - Amilone You're Still The One (Mrs R Woolley)

Lovely pup, just coming into coat, with beautiful head, lovely pigmentation and

eye colour. She's strong on her pasterns, strong on her limbs, well ribbed back,

good coupling, very nice angulation, level topline. The 1st puppy in this class

moves more positively at this stage. Another day, another show. Super quality.

3RD 936 - Double Willow Miramar in Siagar (Mrs G Gargan)

341. Retriever (Golden) - Puppy Bitch

1ST 1061 - Amilone You're Still The One (Mrs R Woolley)

Repeat 2nd in MPB.

2ND 995 - Cadwst Eternal Ember (Mrs V J Nelson)

Super pale-coated girl, maturing nicely, deep ribs, well-coupled, strong

topline, nicely angulated fore and aft - splitting hairs, just preferred the head

and expression of the 1st. But beautiful pigment, lovely eyes, bit softer on her

pasterns than 1/ at this stage. otherwise, a nice mover, holding herself well,

coming into very nice coat. I really liked the balance of this puppy.

3RD 914 - At Quakerhall Trinity Du Bois De La Rayere (Imp Fra) (Mrs D S &

Mrs R J Crookes & Jenkinson)

342. Retriever (Golden) - Junior Bitch

Entries: 9 Absentees: 0

This was a really enjoyable class to judge. My first two could change places on

another day.

1ST 956 - Cheek to Cheek Amour Royal Pol Jch (Miss O Jaglinska)

1/ looks quite complete for her age, with sufficient rib, lovely coupling, nice

length of leg, strong on her pasterns, and super feet. Nice leg length/depth of

chest balance. Correct angles. Love her front construction, her layback, and her

rear angulation and strong hock action. She holds a strong topline, has a really

pleasing head, beautiful pigmentation and lovely eye. The best mover in the

class.

2ND 890 - Shamrock Sweetie (Miss Dr E Bardossy)

Page 2

She's a bit deeper and broader in chest than 1/ and would benefit from a little

less weight at this stage. Firm pasterns, good limbs, nice bone, super layback.

Another nicely constructed bitch with balance front to rear, short coupling,

strong topline. Prefer the head of the 1st just a tad. But overall, 2 quality

examples of the breed.

3RD 999 - Strathlon Angel Eyes (Mrs L O'neill)

343. Retriever (Golden) - Yearling Bitch

Entries: 7 Absentees: 1

1ST 931 - Auristela Ginger Rogers JW (Mr B & Mrs C Foster)

Really liked her balance. She's not overdone and she has super angles, fore and

aft, excellent ribs, lovely layback, good, clean limbs, nice firm pasterns, super

shaped feet, carrying a very pretty pale cream coat, with good feathering

today. She has nice neck to body proportions, sufficient length of leg, strong

topline, very typical head, beautiful pigmentation, nicely placed ears of a good

length, the cleanest, easiest mover in the class.

2ND 987 - Olvinglay Behind The Blinds (Mr G Monteverde)

Second, here was slightly different type, a little bit more refined, not quite the

headpiece for me of 1/, but has more than adequate bone. Very well angulated

fore and aft, with good ribs and nice coupling and a strong topline. I feel she

will be worth waiting for, as her construction is very pleasing. Very nice profile

mover. Two super examples.

3RD 934 - Kayzaelle Kumbuka Peace JW (Mrs L Furbank)

344. Retriever (Golden) - Maiden Bitch

Entries: 9 Absentees: 0

1ST 995 - Cadwst Eternal Ember (Mrs V J Nelson)

Repeat. 2nd in PB.

2ND 914 - At Quakerhall Trinity Du Bois De La Rayere (Imp Fra) (Mrs D S &

Mrs R J Crookes & Jenkinson)

She was third in a strong Puppy Bitch class, in very nice company. Love the

type of this little bitch. Would prefer a tad more leg length, but otherwise she

Page 3

has very nice breed type. She's nicely angulated, fore and aft, with good rib,

strong coupling, clean topline, the prettiest of heads, very good bone. Just not

quite the flow of lines of the winner. Lovely pigmentation, mid gold coat, and

moves cleanly.

346. Retriever (Golden) - Undergraduate Bitch

Entries: 6 Absentees: 0

1ST 901 - Louellabrook Love Star JW (Mrs A L & Mr M L Brown)

Very nice type, pale-coated and well boned. Well-developed ribs, good

coupling, nice angulation, well balanced forehand and quarters, a good strong

topline. Very pleasing head and expression. She could move with a little bit

more purpose, but overall is a really nice type of Golden.

2ND 1042 - Strettonhills Bees Knees (Miss C & Mr M Taylor & Tenn)

Unplaced in Puppy, due to her erratic movement in that class. According to her

construction, I was hoping for cleaner action, and she did produce small

glimpses of a stronger gait here. Her performance today aside, she's a nice

example of the breed. She just needs more condition and muscle tone, but her

balance of neck, body, leg length is pleasing.

3RD 1013 - Strettonhills Quevega (Mrs S F Riley)

Page 4

347. Retriever (Golden) - Graduate Bitch

Entries: 11 Absentees: 3

1ST 1065 - Linirgor Adeline at Treeveville JW (Mrs D A Youngson)

The winner had just a bit more depth of body, spring of rib, a little bit more

finish on her coat and stronger body condition. I loved her head, her bone, her

feet. Her super pigmentation and expression won her the class. Moves very

positively and soundly from strong limbs and feet. Lots of promise.
.

2ND 932 - Auristela Singing Hinnie JW (Mr B & Mrs C Foster)

Very pretty and feminine girl with a well conformed head, correct length of

neck, well-angulated outline and with adequate bone. She has all the

ingredients, but just needs a little bit more time for body development and

condition to present a finished picture. Moves very well from strong hocks and

holds her topline firmly. Very promising.

3RD 1001 - Strathlon Morning Breeze (Mrs L O'neill)

348. Retriever (Golden) - Post Graduate Bitch

Entries: 8 Absentees: 3

1ST 1006 - Shearstone Dilly Gaff (Mrs M A & Miss S Porter)

A real show girl and just a bit more mature in body than 2/ with clean forelegs

and strong pasterns. Nicely coupled, good bone, well angulated both ends,

lovely expressive eye and well conformed head and really looked at her best

on the move. Lovely quality mid gold young lady, with the best of attitudes.

2ND 1009 - Mossburn Golly Miss Molly JW (Mrs S H Pounds-Longhurst)

Another really positive mover, that presents well from any angle and was very

close up to 1/. Above comments apply. Pipped today purely on body

development and coat finish. A most appealing head, with excellent pigment

and balance skull to muzzle. Lovely type and quality.

3RD 1011 - Drumkilty Merry and Bright for Catenae JW (Mrs K A Rees)

349. Retriever (Golden) - Mid Limit Bitch

Entries: 9 Absentees: 4

1ST 1060 - Amilone Pinkster (ai) (Mrs R Woolley)

Page 5

Thought she was lovely as she entered the ring and was not disappointed on

further examination. She was so fluid on the move and presented with correct

overall balance for the breed in her outline. Lovely depth of body and well

sprung ribs. Super front assembly, in fact lovely angles throughout, with a

strong, level topline. Correct length of neck to the balance of her body,

finished with a nicely-proportioned and appealing head and gorgeous, typical

expression. In super body condition and coat finish today. She could not be

matched for her movement and condition in her class, which she maintained

nicely in the bitch challenge. I was delighted to award her the CC. I’m sure her

title will not be far away.

2ND 1014 - Brekswood Honey Bee JW (Mrs D & Mrs P Robbins & Rowark)

Very attractive and well-presented and looked a picture stacked. Not quite so

strong on her pasterns as 1/. And a tad heavy in body today. But such lovely

angles and proportions, just losing her topline a little bit on the move. She has

a lovely head and expression. Another day, another show.

3RD 938 - Carolake X'marks The Spot JW (Mrs P D Gayler)

350. Retriever (Golden) - Limit Bitch

Entries: 7 Absentees: 2

Lots of variety here and once again, movement was a big factor in the final

placings.

1ST 954 - Leighsham Chantilly JW (Mr G & Mrs J Jackson-Haines)

Won the class here today as the most fluid mover, with the strongest driving

quarters. She has correct angles fore and aft, well-sprung ribs with good

coupling, correct bone, strong pasterns, a good length of neck to body and is in

very good coat at this stage. Lovely head and expression. Very feminine, with

much appeal.

2ND 997 - Willowlawn Staycation at Cadwst (Mrs V J Nelson)

A bigger stamp of Golden, definitely a different style, not quite so strong in

pasterns as the winner, but nicely angulated throughout and in super coat and

condition. Not quite so strong in movement as the winner. Lovely overall head

type and expression.

3RD 893 - Hoaaloha Kealoha JW (Mrs F V Bell)

351. Retriever (Golden) - Open Bitch

Entries: 6 Absentees: 1

1ST 989 - Sh Ch/swiss/it/int Ch Olvinglay Wax Lyrical (Mr G Monteverde)

The winner of this class stood away for her profile movement and for her

overall outline. Loved her angles and the balance throughout. She has

sufficient bone, is deep in chest, and well ribbed back, with good coupling.

Firm pasterns. Strong in top line. Not carrying huge amount of coat, which cost

her in the challenge against a lovely bitch in full bloom. RCC

2ND 1066 - It Ch Pinkerly Amitola (Mrs V Zanini)

Second in this class, oozing in coat, looking very well-furnished. Another very

nice bitch, with correct angulation fore and aft, but not quite so strong in

topline as the winner today. Correct proportions of neck, body, depth and

length of rib, coupling. Feeling the heat on the move. Two really lovely bitches.

3RD 915 - Sh Ch Quakerhall Flare by Pandora JW (Mrs D S & Mrs R J Crookes

& Jenkinson)

352. Retriever (Golden) - Veteran Bitch

Entries: 9 Absentees: 2

1ST 1010 - Rosgar Dolly O'dare among Mossburn VW Wgc (Mrs S H Pounds

Longhurst)

A lovely class to judge. Splitting hairs here. Winner was just so sound and

constantly presenting herself. I liked her proportions and overall body balance.

Not carrying any extra weight and is well-conditioned, strong on her

limbs.
Lovely head and expression with good pigmentation. Really is my idea

of a workmanlike Golden.

2ND 966 - Sh Ch Lovehayne Bijou among Fairwinds JW VW (Mrs S & Miss M

Lewis)

The 2nd in this class, very blonde, very glamorous, beautiful pigment, lovely

eye, lovely expression and lovely head type. She's slightly heavier boned, but

loses nothing on femininity. She has very nice angles, well-sprung ribs, good

coupling, strong, well-formed quarters. Two really super veteran girls.

3RD 917 - Lynste Kindred Spirit (Mrs L Davis)

Page 7

353. Retriever (Golden) - Special Beginners Bitch

Entries: 4 Absentees: 0

1ST 949 - Kensesqui Calypso (Mrs C & Mr S Henshaw)

Winner was in beautiful bloom and coat. Nicely angulated, moved well up and

back, has good bone and a very pretty head piece.
She was rather heavy and a

little bit weak in pasterns. Definitely feeling the heat today.

2ND 1028 - Rocamoka Funky Business (Mrs N J Smith)

Not quite the leg to body balance of the winner. Well sprung ribs, beautiful

coupling. She presents a stronger head type with very nice pigmentation.

Strong top line, but not quite so strong in front action.

3RD 1058 - Aurgentious Ros An Gwel (Mrs P & Mr A Winsor-Williams &

Williams)
