Thank you to my steward Ceri for being so very pleasant and efficient and to the exhibitors for accepting me as their replacement judge; it was lovely to hear the applause. I hope Jennifer Laidlaw-Good, whose entry it was, makes a speedy recovery; you had drawn a quality entry Jennifer. It was a joy judging these beautiful girls today and some close decisions were made. My co-judge, Sue Loach, was a pleasure to work with in deciding BOB, BPIB and BVIB and we agreed on everything.

1ST 4129 - Fenpinque Royal Glow (Ms Campion). I see now that she is the daughter of my C.C. winner who has passed on all of her qualities to her. She has the best of heads with a strong muzzle and melting expression. Clean, well muscled neck, well laid shoulders, lovely length and return of upper arm, great forechest, plenty of depth, level topline, strong quarters and excellent second thighs. She moves steadily with a good length of stride and plenty of drive from behind. She was in my mind throughout the entry and until her mother and the open winner came in to the ring, she was up for top honours. I loved her and so did my co-judge. BPB & BPIB.
2ND 4258 - Strettonhills Bees Knees (Miss C & Mr M Taylor & Tenn). A quality puppy with a lot to like. Balanced head with good pigmentation. Doesn’t have as much in front as the winner but carries a level topline and is deep through the ribs.

Moves on a long stride.

1ST 4128 - Fenpinque Glamourglow (Ms Campion). How aptly named she is. She is so stylish and in the sunshine her dense cream coat glowed with strands of gold. She free stands and gazes adoringly at her owner/handler whilst constantly and gently wagging her tail. Her head is exquisite and her dark brown eyes have the kindest and most imploring expression. Her neck is of good length with an attractive crest to it and it flows cleanly into her well laid shoulders. Terrific length and return of upper arm placing her legs well under her body and thus giving plenty of dog in front. Her ribs are deep and well sprung and she has plenty of heart and lung room. Her level topline is firm and never faltered on the move. She is short in couplings and her quarters are strong and muscular with well bent stifles and strong hocks; feet are firm and cat like. Her tail comes straight off her back and is well feathered. Her movement is powerful and effortless and shows a clean pair of heels going away; her head and tail carriage are exceptional. She has immense ring presence and exudes showmanship and personality which totally drew me to her. It was my absolute delight to award her the C.C., her second.
2ND 4136 - Warrentor Nohkalikai JW ShCEx OSW (Miss K Clunie). Pleasing head and expression, strong neck, deep brisket, elbows close fitting, well ribbed back, good bend of stifle. Lovely feet. Moved well holding her shape and driving from behind.

1ST 4141 - Sh Ch Quakerhall Flare by Pandora JW (Mrs D S & Mrs R J Crookes & Jenkinson). A bitch teeming with quality and breed type. Her head is utterly beautiful and balanced with a wide and deep muzzle, dark brown eyes and moderately sized ears framing it perfectly. She has plenty of bone, is very clean over neck and shoulders, is well ribbed back with good depth of brisket, strong loin and wide thighs with well developed second thighs. She presents a classic outline with plenty of dog in front and strength throughout. Her flat golden coat was immaculately presented. On the move she holds her shape and moves on an easy stride. In the run off for the challenge I preferred the tail carriage of the limit bitch. A worthy champion to whom I was delighted to award the R.C.C.
2ND 4192 - Sh Ch Kulawand Sky with Diamonds (Mr & Mrs R S & Mrs P Lane & Lane-Ridyard). She has such a pretty head and is full of quality. Smaller frame than the winner but beautifully made; perhaps not quite as much forechest as the winner. Moved with reach and drive and super head and tail carriage.

RES 4248 - Sh Ch Haydengold Echo Thru Time to Alfiro (Mrs F Smithies)
